It’s been several years since I have reviewed the King Galleries, and it’s time to do so again. Mainly because given the advantage of time, I can state unequivocally that King Galleries consistently provides collectors, and novices like myself, only the highest of pueblo pottery to view and select from. “Seconds” and “Slightly Imperfect” are labels never seen. Visiting either of the galleries is the equivalent of being in a fine museum. The eye sees the artistry and beauty of pueblo pottery in a manner uncommon to the majority of galleries including, with minor exceptions, the multitude that exist in Santa Fe and Scottsdale. There is a peacefulness offered inside each gallery, a wonderful alternative to the sense of brute force to buy. Viewers are treated as guests rather than potential buyers. Questions are encouraged, and the only requirement to getting an answer is a willingness to give Charles King, owner, the time he takes to respond. I have had the privilege of knowing Mr. King for nearly two decades. He has been a patient teacher in my quest to learn about Native American pottery, past and present. His knowledge is unchallenged, and he has the respect of both his colleagues and hundreds of patrons. The ideal way to visit these galleries is to go when you have the time to get the most from the experience. You’ll want to devote at least two hours inside each. Look, ask, learn. You’re benefit will be in the knowing and understanding about an art form that is truly one of our great national treasures.

I have made many purchases from Charles & EVERY piece is exquisite!! His knowledge is unsurpassed & his genuine care for both the artists & customers is refreshing & GENUINE! The entire staff goes above & beyond in their customer service. I couldnt give higher praise! The Gallery is spacious, with plenty of display footage for each artist so there is no feeling of being crowded, but allows customers to appreciate each artists work on its own.

Some the best high-end pueblo pottery at very competitive pricing (superior $ to the other high-end galleries in S.F.). Owner a published pueblo pottery expert and an honest advisor/dealer as well. Treats both his customers and artisans with respect. You cant go wrong doing business with Charles King......be you a seasoned collector or a novice simply seeking advice on what to buy....if nothing else, he will keep you out of trouble which is easy to get into with the usual S.F tourist art shops.
