They have some interesting things to see but this is a very small gallery. I guess I am a bit spoiled after living in LA for some time with thier large museums and gallerys. The good news is my wife, my son and I were the only people in the gallery

It was ok, actually to me rather boring. Staff was very friendly. Outside areas were nice but so sparse. Wasnt totally sure we should be out there. Not that much to see, luckily wasnt much to get in with Groupon. Spent 24 mins in here.

Lovely space and celebration of art.

A treasure of contemporary art as well as the continuing cultural legacy of the Native people of this land. Its my first day in SF and feeling overwhelmed by the touristy shops and galleries, I noticed the stunning mural posts and iconic courtyard sculpture and decided to wander in. The second floor gallery had a number of pieces that blew me away. Dont get bedazzled by all the consumption and miss this gem.

Really nice museum with fair pricing. Enjoyed the film room which showed a very thought provoking documentary.

Was very interested in the genre - contemporary American Indian art.Was very disappointed with the museum. First, there was very little to see.Second, the first floor was mostly bad art that conveyed all negativemessages. I would have liked to have seen more diversity in the contentand media (it was mostly all acrylic and oil paintings). The NA cultures are very interesting - it would have been exciting to see more celebrationof this, rather than everything being so negative. Save your $10 and lookthrough the many galleries that feature NA art.

This is a very small museum that is not designed to appeal to everyone. I admit that the exhibits are provocative and they challenge the imagination. However, the exhibits are too few (with only three small galleries) that I went out of the building sorely disappointed. The second floor displays are nonexistent. When I was there, most galleries were off limits to visitors!If you are not into contemporary art by native American artists, then most likely, you won’t enjoy this museum.

Loved this place and the art. They had an installation going up so the biggest area was cut off from the pubic. Beautiful art.

A small museum and you must definitely like modern art to fully appreciate this museum. Friendly staff.
