The playground is really neat. The area is nice with the trees and stuff and the lawn is always nicely manicured. The location is just not the best since theres always weirdos around but theres always weirdos everywhere in Santa Cruz, so what do you expect. Great playground though and lots of trails to hike on around it.

Such a beautiful park.Greenery everywhere you look.It has so many nice features, from a playground to barbeque grills, a number of clubhouses, a baseball field complete with bleachers and a hot dog stand. Theres the swimming pools too!!Theres lots of picnic tables and open restrooms.And theyve even added a bicycle dirt/ramp area for those who like a little bit more fun.

A nice city park with a playground, pool, baseball and soccer fields, big picnic areas, and trails to adjacent open space and neighborhoods. Grass, Redwood trees, free parking, and an old steam locomotive. Near Costco and next to the historic Evergreen Cemetery

A well-kept park with easy, close parking, clean public bathrooms, water faucets, & lots of space. Mother Nature at its best.

Also another favorite motel maids are excellant rooms are fantastic and managers are great

So huge, with plenty of hiking and beautiful redwoods.. Social distancing is not a problem there. Even with the covid-19 shelter in place its still a good spot to take your kids to ride bikes and scooters and skateboards.

Great place to bike, hike exercise, picnic or hang out. Theres also a pool but due to Covid its closed. The park remains open however. Public restrooms are available.

Beautiful family park for all ages with a swimming pool that offers lessons baseball fields for the little league teams hiking trails with gorgeous redwood groves old oaks and a diverse range of wildlife plants and a wonderful place to have family celebrations and wedding parties There is large picnic areas a meeting or club house playground with an old train engine and a stage coach station for the kids . A Mountain bike trail and even a dirt bike track nestled in the back for kids and adults of all ages to enjoy. .they have special events and is a really SAFE well maintained friendly park that everyone can enjoy. Its been my favorite park all my life and I highly recommend the old EVERGREEN CEMETARY where the first locals who settled here even before the civil war have been buried . a very historical place that is alive with something for everyone.

As a BMX rider, I can say that the jumps are amazing! The pump track carries great speed if you can ride it correctly. Me and many others just helped out to rebuild it so head over there now as it is FRESH

Fun park for the kids!

Love Harvey West Park. I have been coming here since the 1970s and it hasnt changed much. Still has the pool, but no high dive. The snack shack is closed, but you can bring your own. Baseball is very popular there during Spring and Summer. Check the county guide for activities at the park and pool hours. Very tranquil and clean. Also, theres a pump track for bmx.

Harvey West Park is a hidden gem of a park in the very remote corner of an industrial/residential area. It offers a friendship garden, an old locamotive train for observation & photos, as well as plenty of grass, trees, & shade. There is an area for children to play, & there is a swimming pool facility. Youll find an old school BBQ area with plenty of tables as well. I like to come here to relax under the trees & get away from it all.

Lock your stuff up or bring it with you. The transient types havent been too bad lately but dont be shocked when you park next to someone whos been up all night working on their car and theyre still grinding their tooths down to nubs. The cops patrol on the regular.The pool is awesome and the bicycle pump track is often in good shape. Please dont ride it when its wet. It screws it up. Baseball field is that. Check out the old Cemetery. Bring the kids. Its trips them out to be in the presence of old dead people.

Nice little family friendly park nearby a short but pretty walk through some redwoods, the entrance up top is hard to find but its a nice quick walk through some lovely trees

Clean bathroom, homeless comes by but so far none seem to be druged out from what Ive seen. I dont like the Sandy play area but I do love the kids play area.

The pool is clean and just the right temperature. The facilities as well. Staff very helpful. Keep up the good work.

I like this park and my kids do too. My only complaint is I wish there was a bench or two in the shade by the play structure. I also miss the train that kids could climb on back in the 90s. They removed part of it and the rest of it they fenced off.

Nice open park with playing fields, swimming pool, picnic tables and barbecue grills, hiking trails, and nice shade trees. Public restrooms are open until dark unless there are games being played on baseball fields, and a private boy scout cabin available for rent for private parties.

Love that they have almost hidden outside gym stations (4 of them!) for adults to use while the kids are playing on the playground or playing baseball!

Ive loved this park since I was a child and now I bring my child here for day camps and swimming fun!

It was very beautiful there we had I nice area for the reunion over a 100 people their had a wonderful time the shade was very nice and the old cemetery was great

Such an amazingly hidden gem of a park in Santa Cruz County. It has a playground, a swimming pool area, an old locamotive train for viewing, plenty of shade or sun. There are picnic areas (small & group), with bbqs. There are also historical cemeteries.

It would be better if you had campgrounds that theyve been staying with mic orbeez that road other than that it sucks

Parking during Little League can be a challenge. Homeless people are annoying. Kids love the playground.

Come for the Tuesday baseball (hardball) pick-up game on field 6 at noon. Bring your glove, cleats, and wood bat. Primarily adults (men & women) but my 14 year-old son (who plays Travel ball) plays with us and can hold his own.This is not slow-pitch softball.

Make sure you don’t leave your belongings anywhere here not even for a minute. We had a an iPhone stolen. It had a picture of our son in the case the screen saver was of our 2 year old daughter. We turned on the find my phone app and the GPS displayed it was still right in the area. After calling it and sending an alert the phone then shut off. We attempted to get help from the snack shack and the children in the announcement booth but they were of no help at all and showed no kind of empathy. A phone can be replaced but the pictures of our children can’t. Hopefully we never have to return here again.

Beautiful park. Plenty to do for the kids. Swimming, baseball, picnics, barbecues. Background is tall, sumptuous redwoods and dark green lawns. Heaven.

All things considered, the park staff do a wonderful job of keeping the fields well maintained. Its a strain when the downpours are as heavy as in recent weeks. Congrats to the park staff.

Its huge and there are ALWAYS maintenance digging and there.Maybe they can lay down some pathways to the picnic tables which would solve the giant mud puddles???

This park has it all, jungle gyms, hiking, open space and picknick tables.

Fields are better with new dirt, main drawback is the homeless who live here.

Great multi-sport park nestled at the bottom of a lush forested hill. There are barbecue pits and tables, but no bike racks to be found. Pogonip trails are accessible from here as well

Fun, hiking trails, cemetary, swimming pool for all ages, picnic, BBQ, baseball/football/soccer fields. Close to HWY1 and stores.

Watch out for hobos. If you’re having a cookout, designate someone as a bouncer and get a schtick ready, because you’re going to be approached by party crashers

There are not enough drinking fountains and no bags for dogs waste. It seems to me that unless you are renting one of their sites, the county does not want you there.
