Great hiking area right in the middle of town. Secluded yet closeby. The Open Space is protected and offers a bunch of different levels of hiking. All pretty short, which is good since its mid city. If you want or need a longer and more expansive hike then go out to other spaces. There are good hills, open meadows, great views and a very cool dry creek bed with heavy oak canopies.

Plenty of hiking and walking trails here. Some easy some challenging. Hillside views and shaded Oak Groves. Very Green in the springtime, and plenty of wildflowers spring and summer. Includes horse trails. Mixed in the same area as oil fields still producing but not smelly. Not much flowing water except after it rains.

Always enjoy hiking here. Nice beautiful trails and a great stopping point to have a picnic! I love the trees and the green grass (for now). Saw a sweet bus at the top of the hill and spotted a few deer also!

Nice for locals who live nearby, but not much to see, and not worth a trip.

Thanks to the deeply confusing directions provided by the once-trustworthy Google Maps app, my friend and I ended up lost and stuck on a ditch-ridden cliffside one-way dirt road. Escaping from this situation was no easy feat, and at one point our car was hanging almost a foot of off the cliff as we attempted a 27-point turn. Not only that, we were later approached by a white pickup who informed us that we were on private land and led us to safety. Turns out that the miles of windy dirt trails we had driven on were entirely optional, and we could have taken a simple paved road the entire time. Thanks Google Maps. We got within 0.6 miles of Quigley Open Space on foot before the trail ended and Google Maps told us to take a fork in the road that objectively didnt exist. 0/10 do not recommend this experience unless you want to end up dead in a ditch.

Lots of great trails here including more casual walks and more strenuous uphill. Some nice views from the top of the hills. Great place to walk with family or friends or to take your dog or hours for a walk. There is also a partly shaded picnic area which is quite nice. You may want to avoid coming here when it is really hot, because many of the trails have limited shade. Otherwise, a wonderful experience.

There are flat trails you can stroll on, moderate hills for a view and steep trails for the adventurists. The coyote trail is very steep and easy to slip on.

I love this place BUT THE MUSTARD SEED BUSHES ARE SO OVERGROWN, ITS MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO HIKE UP COYOTE LOOP!! IM allergic to bees and the bushes are attracting bees and look like comfy rattle snack beds. TOO SCAREY!!

Such beautiful views on these trails. Next to oil rigs. Non locals not always welcomed. Worth the visit regardless. Coyote loop offers the best trail but is the hardest with a steep slope. Horses are often present. Beautiful in spring!

The scenery is beautiful and theres a good variety of trail difficulty for such a small open area. There are flat trails you can stroll on, moderate hills for a view and steep trails for the adventurists. The coyote trail is very steep and easy to slip on. Lots of fox tails. Our dog got several stuck in her paw.
