It is a nice, small theater and the acoustics are good. We performed Verdi’s “Requiem” there with orchestra and choir. The drama department uses the theater for there many wonderful plays and musical theater productions.

This is a nice place. Well designed and there really is not a bad seat in the house. Excessive parking because it is a school. Restrooms are down stairs, so with an older crowd, try to get ahead of them. And when you arrive to park, dont park in the closest spots, you will find it is hard to exit with all the older people are opt to walk behind your car, choose the next area over to park.

The Garvin is nestled on the beautiful Santa Barbara Community College Campus, complete with an ocean view. I had the great pleasure of watching In the Next Room that included a small, but mighty cast.My experience from speaking to the representatives at Will Call to saying hello to the cast members at the end was beyond fantastic! Everyone I encountered was ever so friendly. The theater in itself is beautiful, the seats are comfy, everything is fairly new, or at least well-kept and modern. Snack stand available during intermission and prices are very fair. Restrooms located downstairs, plentiful and clean.I would happily come watch another production at the Garvin!

The plays put on by the Theatre Group at SBCC are always entertaining. While auditions are open to the public, the students definitely have a big role in the productions.

Great quality plays! Reasonable prices, too.

Good, but not a fan of safe travel to the place. Left turn on main road with signage not lit, making extra hassle when coming at night after getting off the 101
