LOVE this place. It was love at first sight. This spot is off in the cut! Secluded, peaceful, and incredibly beautiful. The road to the parking lot is single lane...I never see single lane roads so that is exciting for me. Instead of going for the unpaved trails we just walked up the road turned onto Melonville & saw the most adorable house for sale. Will definitely be back to do the actual trails. I highly recommend checking this spot out!
A very small parking area and secluded which is nice. I would consider it more of a horse trail but if youre an experienced hiker you should have no trouble. There are several forks in the trail that are not marked so be careful. The trail is varied sometimes its basically a dirt road and other times its a very thin horse trail. Once you get out close to lake and decide to continue recommend taking off your shoes because you can easily lose them in the muck. Theres a lot of cow hoove holes out there, watch your step!
Awful, not handicap accessible. Gate locked not allowing wheelchair
Great place to take the family alots of wild life
Trail? What trail? Overgrown area with knee high grass, no visible trail, cow poop everywhere (which is hard to spot in the high grass) and roaming cows. Stay away if you have a dog that wants to chase cows.Ive been there in a dry season and it was soggy; can imagine how flooded it will be in a rainy season.
Good trails, hores, bike, walking. nice 2 trails.
Marl Bed Flats is my favorite tract in the Lake Jesup Conservation Area. I visit this area frequently to look for wildlife, especially shorebirds, wading birds and other wildlife that can be found in marshy areas. When you arrive at the parking area, you can walk through two open gates. You can then pass through an oak hammock until you get out to the Marl Bed Slough. It can be very wet at times, so I always bring wading boots with me. You also share this area with cattle, so watch your step!Ive logged over 160 species of birds in this area, along with Bobcats, White-tailed Deer, Coyotes, lots of butterflied and dragonflies, and unfortunately, feral pigs.
This is a scam. There is nothing here but private property. No entrance, no trails, nothing.
Great place for people who study Mycology.
