Very nice park for picnic. Lots of tree shades and covered searing area. The duck pond is added bonus.

Great facilities, a bit crowded on weekends, lots of tables. Lots of grass to spread out, a cool walking path, and it has a nice pond to sit by though the pond smells sometimes. Lots of shade from large trees and charcoal grills next to the tables.

The restrooms are clear over on the North end in a white and blue building near the pool (opposite end of the pond). This park includes many covered tables with grills, lots of grass, a few large trees, swings, slides, climbing wall, spinner, monkey bars, and wood chips. Lots of open space.

This is what you call a good park. I have aged out of parks, no wonder, but I feel like this would be where you would want to send your kids. Its clean, and has lots of space to play games. It has a cool duck pond too, which has hundreds of ducks to watch. I would recommend.

Pretty cool park, nice and friendly people. Right next to Woodland park Elementary School and next to Woodland Park public pool and its also pretty cheap come check it out sometime if youre ever in the area

The pond was nice to look at with the Ducks and turtles. And the playground was all right for my daughter but nothing real special. We went out of our way to see the park I dont think well be going back.

Great place. Park is still closed but is bustling place before you know, covid scene and all. Duck pond. Cool breeze through Esco... Mello and layed back spot to lay down a blanket and chill out with your sweety. Kids love all the grass and did I mention the duck pond?

It is big, vast, spacious. Very green, lots of trees, picnic areas. One party can be playing volleyball while another at the same time is playing soccer, and yet many others playing many other games. I was very impressed.

Love this park, over the years it has become our family park to host parties. Big grass area to play soccer, volley ball or other games, nice play ground area and a cute little pond to be able to see ducks and turtles. The only dislike about this park is with it being such a big park the bathrooms are a good walking distance from school side of the park and if you are by the lake.

Wonderful place for walking. Benches to rest on and ducks and animals to watch.

Good park to go roller skating with the boys at 8 thirty. Sidewalk cracks are just small enough. Grass hand cut and deliciously green. Sorry if the photo is blurry I was skating.

Very nice little park. Multiple separate covered table areas to have a get together. Kids playground is nice, and there is a large filed area to have a picnic or run around. Also has a pond and fountain there often has ducks in it.

Great park for kids, multi level of play for all ages. Play area is not enclosed so be cautious if you have a wanderer. Alot of ducks and other fowl in the duck pond but they request for the health of the birds only to bring them petstore duck food, understandable.

I loved the ducks! Nice playground area and plenty of grass & trees.Only problem is there were no restrooms, but other than that, its the perfect place to take kids!

Loved this park. My little ones had a great time.And by the way only people that are lazy and would rather stay on the phone instead of taking care of their little ones say that the park is dangerous. You had your kids now keep an eye on them.

Only 3 stars because the playground activities are dangerous my children can fall at so many spots its really unsafe! Im always stressed watching them play because of the open spots where they can fall on the big and small playground! Its horrible! The carlsbad big playground park is way safer than that one.

Its a well kept beautiful park close to the escondido/san marcos border. I enjoy taking the kids here cuz they love the set up it has a kiddy play area and a big kid play area clean public restrooms and a cool duck pond with a ton of ducks you can feed we go there a couple times a week at least

The City of San Marcos has some of the best maintained parks in the County. They are clean, patrolled, landscaped, and large.

Nice park for a walk with my elderly mother around the duck pond. Fun to feed the ducks too, just dont bring bread get some water fowl feed.

Its a nice big, clean and spacious park.

Always beautiful but somewhat really crowded never fun to be there when schools getting out but since its summer it should be better. They do have an ice cream truck I believe that that is show up at times but theres usually pretty much parties going on so its pretty crowded

Beautifull place

Gorgeous park. Lots of covered sitting areas either by gazebo or big shade trees. Very well maintained. There is an adorable duck pond and plenty of room for park games. We had a party there and there was half a dizen parties going on at one time and there was plenty of room to spread out and still keep the parties separate. My only negative comment would be the parking. The parking lot is too small for a park that size. There is street parking but not a ton. If you going to a party there a recommend getting there on time if not a few mins early to make sure there is sonewhere easy to park. Other than that I would recommend this park.
