The brewery definitely looks like an awesome place to be pre or maybe post pandemic unfortunately looks like they are going through some renovations taking advantage of the downtime was very happy to see that they support 1st responders as well as the military really great options for souvenirs as well as pricing on beer flights really cool place definitely worth the drive out of town and they even have a Burger food truck plenty of places to sit and dog friendly

The beer was great! With 2 flights, we were able to taste all current beers on tap! My fav was the Garnet Belgian Amber.The bar cat, DUNKEL”, put it over the tap(top, ha ha). MEOW!! 5 STARS

We could not fully enjoy the atmosphere of this magnetic place, but owner was very generous and gave us a chance to try the best beer in Hill Country! Now Im in love with Black Love porter and we are eager for more ;-) Next time we are in the area we will head straight to Middletown Brewing!

My wife and I loved this place! The burgers at the food truck were on point, and we enjoyed the beverages as well. They had live music, and it was just right. Great atmosphere.

Visited mid October, great weather. Sat outside with great outdoor covered and open umbrella seating. Friendly service. Food truck, MBTX Burger Shop was very good. The craft beer was great. Worth the visit from Kerrville.

Awesome spot! Every beer style I tried was well above average to outstanding. They offer a wide variety of brews from Belgian Spiced to Coffee Ale to Blackberry Blonde to Oatmeal Stouts, they’ve got something for everyone. Observation deck is spectacular and the food trucks are top notch

I’m going to get this out of the way real quick. There was a cat walking around on the bar. Yes, you heard me. ON THE BAR. I knew it was a dog friendly place, but come on - a cat ON the bar? It even walked over to my side of the bar, sat down, put its leg behind its head like cats do, and then proceeded to lick its butt in front of me. Hey cat, I’m really impressed that you can do that, but you’re not getting a tip from me. The staff member that it belonged to shooed it away, but it stayed on the bar. Subtract one star for this show.Next up: As I said, it’s dog friendly. VERY dog friendly. There were two dogs belonging to customers roaming around freely inside the place. A third dog was on a leash, but it kept barking at the other dogs. This wasn’t outside on the patio, this was all inside. When I go somewhere to hang out and relax, I don’t want to deal with barking dogs (in my book, it’s akin to bringing screaming kids into a bar). Subtract one star for letting the dogs inside.Keep the cats and dogs *outside* and this would be a five star brewery to chillax at.Beer: They have a decent selection of brews and like most breweries, they have some permanent ones and some seasonals that rotate in and out. They have five or six store bought wines available.Staff: VERY knowledgeable about their beer and can suggest something for you once you describe your taste palette to them.Food: The food truck out front is permanently hitched up here, the one in the back changes occasionally.Plenty of seating inside and outside, there’s even a spacious deck on the second floor.Growler refills are $14 and crowlers are $9.40 (buy three crowlers and get 10 percent off). If your selection is over 8 percent ABV, additional charges may apply.One more note about the dogs and I’ll put this puppy to bed. There’s a fenced off area downstairs to let your dogs run rampant in - put them in there instead of bringing them inside - or better yet, leave them at home. This whole thing with people bringing their dogs everywhere is getting out of hand.I was going to give them two solid stars, but now that I think about it, if they let cats run back and forth across their bars, how clean is their brewing process? It’s a cool place with good brews, and I want to like it, but when I think about the animals everywhere, I think twice about what might be in the beer.

Fantastic place! The beers were great. I started with the blonde and moved to the American pale ale. Then was given the Pecan Amber on recommendation and all 3 were AWESOME! The staff was fantastic! Thank you guys for a great experience.

Had a wonderful time here. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Their beer selection is impressive. See my picture of the menu. They also have self serve popcorn and water which is such a great idea so you do not have to stand in line just for a water. There were a lot seating options inside and out. I would highly recommend visiting Middleton Brewing.

Beer was tasty and staff was friendly and helpful. Nice, yet cozy atmosphere. We opted to sit outside to enjoy the weather. There were yard games available to play (Cornhole, washers, Jenga) and food trucks on-site. We got food from the Maine-iac Lobster truck (I think that was their name), and it was absolutely delicious...A little pricey but they dont skimp on the lobster.This is a dog friendly establishment and some of them are large (in case youre afraid of dogs). Dogs are not required to be on leashes but rather roam free or sit at their owners feet. A small dog run is available for them to use the restroom and bags are provided to clean up after them.It was also a family friendly location. We had our three year old daughter and 7 week old son with us and saw a couple other little kids there with their parents as well.FYI: parking in the parking lot is very limited. It seemed like people parked on the sides of the road after the lot filled.Our visit here was relaxing and enjoyable! Thank you!

Fantastic tasting beers and the service could not be better. Middleton Brewery is a wonderful surprise! The customers are friends and family as soon as they walk through the door. The staff does not have to treat everyone so nice when they are serving beer that is so good, but, it is easy to see they actually enjoy receiving their new friends and neighbors. Wonderful Staff, management, entertainment, customers, and special events. I know there are other breweries in the Texas Hill Country, but, I found mine.I was so lucky to be invited to Middleton Brewery for the May Culinary Zymurgy event! Delicious food prepared by Chef Sanderson and the perfect beer pairings - I dont know how they do that - but, it was SO Good! Im still thinking about it, 2 weeks later! The beers were icy cold and the selection was amazing. The bartenders were pretty cool and told me the story on how the brewery got its start. They have a Slingin Sliders truck outside that serves tasty options. Wife and I got a flight to sample a few beers. Easy Rider, Wee Heavy Galena were my favorites. Suggest checking this place out. Has an outside downstairs & upstairs seating to include indoors. Serves free popcorn and water for patrons. Dog friendly if your dog is well behaved.

Great brewery! One of the only ones that is open on Mondays! I really enjoyed the experience. They have an observation deck upstairs patio and one right by the entrance. 17 beers on tap with wide variety. Live music, free popcorn... What else do you need? Im not even from SMTX and this is on my top 10 breweries, guess Ill need to plan another trip :)

Im not a beer person but my husband is and he enjoyed the local beers served on tap while I enjoyed very generous mimosas. The employees have their friendly dogs there and they let our friendly dogs roam free too. We got food from the Slingers Slider food truck and enjoyed the breeze off the rooftop patio. Its like a dog park with beer!! What could be better!?!

Great brewery with an awesome upstairs patio. We had HORRENDOUS weather while we were there and got rained inside for hours, and it was still very enjoyable. When the weather is better, they have a great downstairs and upstairs outdoor seating area.

Great place! I had wine and my kids really enjoyed playing on the patio. The food truck was amazing! I also loved that they had free popcorn to snack on.

Can’t open a tab without them keeping your card. Then they are looking for a tip when you have to go to a counter to be served. Where is the service if you have to wait in line and they hold your card? No service, no tip, and a wait in line. Might as well be a McDonalds.

This is the best danged Belgian Style Craft Brewery in Central Texas. Really nice venue, food truck, beautiful location, on site owners, and a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I highly recommend.

This is the BEST place to go...I am sorry, I do not drink, but however, I have sold Fredericksburg Peaches on the corner and I have gone inside to grab a Dr. Pepper, they are the coldest Ive had. The staff has always greeted me with smiling faces, and they have been so polite, friendly, and just a pleasure to be around. YALL STOP BY AND CHECK THIS PLACE OUT EVEN IF YA DONT DRINK. They are pet friendly and kid friendly from what I have noticed....and grab ya some sliders at the food truck. AND BEFORE YOU LEAVE MAKE SURE TO STOP AND GET THE BEST PEACHES EVER.... Thanks yall!

The live band was great. Beers were good but they were out of the porter (Black Lab) that would have been our preference. Nice crowd too.

Very cool place for craft brews just norh of San Marcos TX on RR 12. I had the Bobcat Red- an aggressive balance of malts with a firm spectrum of American hops. Sliders available on food truck in the afternoon. Live music venue and goid times here.

Food is half way decent but god the service.... If I was management of Middleton brewery I would not keep this place on site. The gentlemen who runs the truck is extremely rude and seems off put to take an order at his food truck. Not only was he rude to me, he was extremely rude to my mother, and pregnant wife on 3 separate occasions.Do not support this business.

Ya know... The beer was great. So great. But sitting outside... There was a very distinct poop smell. Im pretty sure the the septic system was acting up. Very distracting. Otherwise great.

Great venue to chill with friends and drink some great small batch beers. VERY dog friendly. Live music often on weekends. Usually a couple good truck on the premises. I always get some crowlers to go (10% discount for three or more!!).

Its more than worth the trip out for a great time...16 of their own beers on tap so there is one (or 5) for every taste, bring your dog, sit back and enjoy the atmosphere. You can sit up on the observation deck, down on the large patio or inside. Ive been going here for years and the live music is always free. I Love this place and the people working here are friendly and knowledgeable about the beer they brew and sell.

You must be a dog lover to visit this brewery. The beer was great, but large dogs are all over the place blocking exit doors and climbing on patrons tables to get food. Lots of dog poop outside by the tables.

I loved the beer. The atmosphere was nice. I love that its dog friendly. The only thing I had a problem with was that there was no designsted dog area. We sat outside and dogs roamed around and peed and pooped anywhere they wanted. The smell was pretty overwhelming.We stayed for 1 round and left.Hopefully next time it wont be dog stinky.

Great brewery out in the hill country. Enjoyed 9/10 beers I tried with a couple of flights with a great variety. I recommend the the american and NE IPA, belgian style beers, and berliner weisse. Both food trucks on site were great. Super friendly staff. Dog friendly with enclosed patio. Cant wait to go back.

Theres a beer for everyone to love here! Seasonal choices are also available to mix it up and its definitely pet friendly.Theres indoor and outdoor seating with rooftop accessibility that makes for excellent hill country stargazing in the evening. Brew crew is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable if you need help making up your mind in beer choices. Wine and non alcoholic choices are also available if ypu must, but why would you?Theres food trucks with pitas and silders that provide very tasty treats to go with your beer ( had both)and if thats too much for you they also make fresh popcorn to nibble on instead.If youre lucky you might be graced with the company of one of the 2 brewery cats or the two dogs looking to welcome new folks!This is a relaxing way to spend the afternoon and the Wemberly folks that frequent the brewery are very welcoming!You just cant go wrong here!

I have been to Middleton Brewing multiple times. The new location is great with many improvements. It is a spacious and rustic brewery with all their house made craft beers on tap. My favorite is the Pepperhead IPA. It is infused with jalapenos for a lightly spicy, yet hoppy beer. There is indoor and outdoor seating, including a rooftop area. There is even a little fenced off area for the dogs to roam. If youre hungry there is usually a food truck parked right by with great sliders and the menu now offers vegetarian options. Overall, my experience there has been great. Friendly staff, good beer, yummy food = fun times!

I absolutely love this place!! Lived in San Marcos and came here every week for the Randall. Living in San Antonio now, but still have to stop by every now and then.
