This place is incredible. They currently focus quite heavily on California natives, which we love. Best of all, and a huge pet peeve of mine when it isnt dont, is that they have exceptional labeling of so many of the plants on the property.Speaking to the guy at the shop in site, he let us know that theyre a relatively new botanic garden. I cant wait to see what theyre able to do with more time, and more funding, so please go there, enjoy the plants, the paths through the hills, and importantly, donate to help keep them growing. They deserve it for how well theyre executing currently.

Not a large, facility, but a good assortment of plants adapted to mediterranean climates. Most plants are labeled. Even if the scientific stuff doesnt excite you, its a pleasant place for a stroll. And off-season parking is free.

What a great place to visit! Weve been to the garden a few times with my kids, have gone on a hike and the trail was easy enough for my two and a half year old as well. The place is beautiful, and the childrens garden area is so fun. We can spend hours playing and exploring.

Lots of trails to wander and none of them are too difficult. Trees are strategically placed to provide both shade and seating areas. Restrooms are on site and the staff I spoke with were friendly and professional!

This is a small botanical garden with lots of local species on display. There is a fire resistant garden, a childrens garden, a ~1 mile hike, and lots of little paths. It currently covers 2 acres but the whole property is 150 acres and they have plans to expand throughout the space. I am excited to see what this becomes.

What a wonderful spot for community events! I currently have art installed on the grounds for a group show. The Mediterranean gardens are beautiful, and the docents & volunteers really add local charm to the place. I recommend checking out the annual ecocycle art show and gift shop for unique items to purchase.
