Great place for walking at night

A very nice little park on communication hill. Has a fantastic view of San Jose and some good steps and objects for doing a variety of workouts.

Beautiful overlook of the city, several spots for a picnic, and plenty of trail space for the plentiful people.

This is a park I frequently go to to take a break, the scenery is wonderful, there are plants and flowers lining the paths, and the playground is perfect for kids. I would definitely recommend this to people in the area.

I went for the night lights there and to my surprise ..it is indeed a hidden beauty .this place has awesome view and the park is beautiful with swings for kids .a must to go .

Place is very nice for walking/jogging.

One picnic table is in the shade at noon but you cannot see the playground from it. Shady grassy areas. Playground is not in the shade and slides get quite hot.

Cozy park overlooking Almaden Valley

This is a nice little park, and it has some interesting history behind it. Basically all of Communication Hill was owned by the Vieira family, who were Azorean Portuguese immigrants. The family still owns, and I believe, resides on 30 acres of the hill. Communication hill has been developed in conjunction with KB Home, and there are a variety of housing types here. Since its not a large area, this is the only park up here and it happens to be very nice, and has a view South. There is a play area for kids with a grassy field and benches around the park that make it nice to spend some time here. The kids play area has a soft rubbery surface, which is safer for kids if they fall. They also have swings, seesaw and a structure to climb on for the smaller kids. There are usually some kids for your child to play with and the parents are friendly. The park is quiet, and the noise from planes on landing approach into SJC is minimal. This is a nice place to stop and rest of you are on a walk up the hill for exercise. Definitely recommended.

Clean park. Only drawback is that there’s no public access to restroom, which is a BIG DEAL when you have young children!

Good, clean, basic neighbourhood park

Modest little park on the top of Communications Hill in San Jose. The history of the family and area are detailed and you realize that the Portugese were major factors in the forming of this great city.

Thats a good places to Walk with a friend or your dog.
