It was fun, the trails are fun but very short small area, but the mx track it pretty fun, big jumps and watered.
Fun day riding. Rangers were friendly and helpful, trails were challenging and well maintained. Social distancing protocols were being followed and folks out enjoying the trails were well behaved.Great park
Good place to dirtbike. Has an mx track
Good if you want to dirt bike within an hour of San Francisco
There are some very tight, technical, rutted, rocky switchback trails that will test even some experienced riders..
MX Track changes have reduced fun level
It was a nice sunny warm day with a cool breeze. I wish the past was bigger, but it is close and has a nice view.
Great friendly staff, my son had a blast! First time on a dirt bike!
Trails have been graded since last time I was there, no too busy on the trails despite a pretty full parking lot. Had a great few hours there
I love this place, beautiful landscape and awesome riding in all skill levels!! I like it most of all for the beginner track so I can practice all day and nobody in your way, especially on the weekdays
Experienced riders come on easy and moderate trails and scare the hell out of beginners, good riders should stay on trails made for their high skill level, not on the easy trails that learning children are using
Great trails, great bay area riding spot
If you have a green sticker motorcycle this is the place to have fun at least once a month all year long and always a good time.
Awsome local place to ride. Track is great when watered.
Good place next to San Jose to ride. Has a lot of trails through the hills, moderate skill level should get you around most of the park. Theres a few different tracks for people of all different skill levels. The trails have a good amount of bumps and rocks for those concerned.
Great place for a quick Fix and peace of mind
Lots of fun trails and tracks, cheap to get in, and the rangers are really nice.
Well maintained park, low entry fee, clean bathroomFun trails, great for beginners.
Very nice. They made it easy for registration, took me only a minute or two. They have tire air on site, which is cool. Clean restrooms. People are friendly. Only small complaints would be that its kinda small.
Dirt was great today! Rangers were friendly and a great trials course. Wish I also had my mx bike with me!
Lots of fun cool trails. Its like a miniature Hollister with one trail like Carnage. Its dry eats up your back tire but still closest fun you can get to quickly. And if you get injured the rangers will help with anything even hose you down cause theres blood everywhere and put on gloves and pull rocks out of your back. Plus everyone is friendly. Metcalf even has trails for quads and go- carts.
Great little place to ride
Really liked it. My 10yo found some trail (hills) difficult, fell, but was able to manager. My 8yo wouldnt be able to do it. Rangers are great.
Okay so this place is sometimes amazing and sometimes disgusting. there are full-time rangers there you are excellent human beings and their to help in case get her. But the dirt when its dry, is miserable and disgusting. go there 2 days after it rains, and youll be treated with sculptors clay that could care less if your tires are rounded. This place turns epic after a rain. Motocross track is definitely beginner. The ATV truck is a great beginners track wonderfully banked corners. The singletrack is all one way and direction and its pretty much impossible to ever get an a collision with another party there. I wish more riding spots would adopt us as a standard. I went there for the first time after a rain today for the ghost riders motorcycle club. Very nice people, families and quite talented a-level riders. Being that I just moved from San Francisco coming from Los Angeles its a different style of writing but great because its only $5. And if the dirt is right, and its close to you, youd be silly not to go three to four times a year. Its not the largest place its a maximum 10 minute loop around the perimeter, but for the price location an occasional awesome dirt and grooming with excellent picnic benches at the top of hills and in the parking lot you cant beat it. Theres a dedicated trials section or what some people refer now to as endurocross. There is ample parking with a loading ramp so you do not need to bring a can back up to a loading dock ramp.Okay so sorry about this review and is grammatical errors I did this while driving back from the park with grins on my face using Googles voice dictation
Trail conditions were excellent today. Hats off to guys who take care of the park.
Its a nice place to ride. The rangers are friendly and helpful. I would not recommend this place to a beginner. There are only a few trails that are smooth enough for a beginner to be comfortable. If you are an expert you might find this part awesome but a little to small, hence the good rating. The MX track is pretty decent tho.
Small, but the best county park
I love this place. My favorite part is that you can only go one direction on the trails unlike some motorcycle parks. It makes me feel safer. Fun fun fun!
This place is a home run! Awesome rangers, good riding.
Great small park to ride half-day or all day. They opened up the back so there is a lot more to explore than most realize. Great staff!
Off road riding, mx and trails, well maintained, good for kids, reasonable close to most of the Bay Area. And only $6 per vehicle (no matter how many bikes you have). Love it!
Great park, love riding here.
Great spot to ride! Close by and very affordable. The green sticker / red sticker riding season is very unfortunate because it is a giant CARB sham, but I cant blame the park for that. They are just abiding by the rules.
Awesome Recreation spotMotorcycle and 1/4 Sprint racing!
Awesome OHV park in the South Bay. Lots of variety, trail rides to MX track, and a few smaller tracks to practice technique, and a killer staff that is always super helpful.
Coool park to hangout for the day
Great little motorcycle park gem. Excellent place to let the kids run wild....safe and fun environment
Not for beginner I would say, I ride at hollister and the beginner tracks here are a lot harder. Its hard to tell which tracks are beginner-difficult-advanced. The tracks are fun but the trails are a bit Rocky and small and have small little ravines. Crashed my bike going down a dent sized hill and couldnt slow it down, ended up going to the side in the ravines and crashing into bushes, plastics banged up now! Overall it is fun and decent, but a bit harder and more dry than Hollister. This is my first time here and this is what i thought of it.
Great place & really nice people - absolute gem of a park
They where awesome they let me take my littleGas powered RC car i just haf to be careful and mindful of where the bikes/atvs where at they have a kid area where thwy can ride their atvs so thats wherw i was. Nice place really wanna get one to try the tracks.
Awesome place and friendly rangers super helpful.I`D like to know when they gonna re-open the sneak bar so I can have lunch and spend all day out there.
Great place to take your kids ride dirtbikes. Good quality time
Close to home so it was just the wright place for quick ride in the morning
Metcalf is awesome for being so close to the bay. Sure Hollister is bigger, and Carnegie has more challenging trails, but this small park has packs a great variety into such a small space. Never seems all that crowded, and people are very friendly. The small town of moto parks. Rangers are good folks too.
Tons of fun and a decent number of trails. Great for a quick rip.
The park was great for my 10 year old sun maxim chumakou!
Fun place for a quick ride.
This place is perfect for family riding and bonding I love this place
A fairly small park (compared to Hollister Hills) but great trails and tracks including green, blue, black -- also a trials area. Mini Mx track up to 150cc, plus a beginners practice ring with a couple basic hill loops. Proximity overlooking neighborhoods in South Bay Area means if you only have a half day to spare, its still worth going. Nice, clean bathrooms, soda and snack vending machines. Theres now an air and water station, plus a covered area with picnic tables, and more tables under shade structures. At least one concrete loading ramp. Check their site for red sticker dates. They also do moon-gazing parties, and run family movie nights. Volunteers are always welcome to do trail work or work the Mx track, and theres a Junior Ranger program.
The rangers take amazing care of this place. Its clean, almost rut free and fun.
Great Place to Ride, easy to learn here very open, Cant wait to go ride
Place is extremely fun
A great place to watch the Amgen Tour of California
Great place to ride after work quick Black Diamond trails
Installed a brand new drinking fountain with filter water battle filler. Did not had fun.
The rangers suck!
Needs new rangers make fun of peoples bikes when I went there and they shoved a stick in my exhaust and ruined it now you hear a rattle but after all a good place to have fun and ride
Great local place.
Love this place it needs more parking/ bigger trails
Too muddy the day I went.the rangers were great.
Nice and close to home, $6 entry.
My husband loves to ride here
Great facility for $6 a day!
Close, nice tracks, nice tails. Everyone is really nice.
Great for my dirt bime
Great track
South Bay gem!
Great and close to home
Your local county park to go play in dirt. Whats not to like about it?
Maintained well, convenient.
Great spot to ride!
There always closed even if there is a lil rain they close the park they keep saying that there expanding never see anything happening
