Im not sure if people in San Francisco realize how lucky they are to have this place. Having gone to life drawing sessions in a number of big cities, this is by far the best experience Ive ever had. There are no bad seats, the lighting and music are great, and the models are out of this world.The teaching class is very special and my biggest regret is not being able to finish it because of relocation. Michael is a fantastic teacher (and the models in this class are the best of the best), just dont expect a set of rules how to draw. Its also not a class for lazy, rigid, or distracted.

A different approach using concepts fundamental to creativity.

I went here for a figure drawing class and I had a really great time. It was a very comfortable environment and the model was really professional. In the middle of the event we took a tea break. It was really lovely to speak with the other artists and the man that ran the studio. I will definitely be going back for more of these sessions.

I am grateful for being able to so quickly find a place to draw when visiting San Francisco, however as soon as I arrived the owner quickly pulled me aside and told me that listening to music with earbuds was strictly forbidden -- a first for me in well over 20 studios across the world. Had this been a silent studio during light hours this would have made sense, but it was at 8pm and the owner blasted music and had quite an ego to him. Compound the facts that the drawing stations were quite dirty with charcoal, and a relatively high entrance cost and I am absolutely unable to recommend this location to any serious artist, or really anyone in general.I seriously considered not paying, it was that bad.
