Great place to park and have a quick bite. For a Saturday it was very mellow with hardly any one around in the parking lot. It has a great view overlooking the harbor. It is paid parking Monday through Sunday with a 4 Hour maximum great spot if you just want to park and go for a stroll or a bike ride.

Fun time at the gator by the bay festival every year. Costs a bit to get in and the food is expensive but its only once a year. Parking is a long hike but the rain stopped making it a beautiful fun filled musical day. Family enjoyed it also. Young and old we will be going again next year

Its probably 3+ stars. It is about a 1.5 mile walk from the SW corner of Liberty station under Harbor Dr then South alongside Spanish Landing to the Cancer survivors park and back. Beware of cyclists on the paths. Nice views to the West (water) and often a nice breeze.

This a nice small park on the bay. There are public restrooms and they are kept clean. There is plenty of parking, as well as a small beach area. Its also easy to find.If you like to jog, walk your dog or ride your bike, go check it out. You can go well past the marina into downtown San Diego if you like.

Ive only been to Spanish Landing when attending Gator by the Bay - Google it - it is a fabulous Louisiana theme music dance food festival. So excellent that the State of Louisiana even helps sponsor it!Spanish Landing is actually a park. My favorite thing is the gorgeous walkway that wends its way through the park. Hard to describe; worth a look. Great place to bring small children to play.

I love parking there and watching the ocean, birds, squirrels, and plants. Anytime I have to pick someone up from the airport I make sure I leave super early because SD traffic is horrible. I normally get to the airport early and I park there to destress, commune with nature, and sometimes use the restroom until I get the text or call that my friend/family is at the curve waiting for me. What an awesome way to wait for passengers.

Its a long strand along the freeways and airport streets. Lots of parking space and picnic benches. Long dog walks, small playground for the kids and the bay waters. Nice scenery for watching the sail boats and motorboats, paddle boarding. Its a nice spot to get away from the big crowd and have a spot to relax and sun bathe. Been going there for over 15yrs, by the way its charged parking spots. I never used to have to pay there and didnt notice the signs, so I got a $52.00 parking ticket.

Worst Park in the city. It has a beautiful view, its right on the water, has a playground for kids, its a great place for parties and picnics, everything there is fantastic. So maybe youre wondering why its awful??? well a little over a year ago someone with the city of San Diego or the Port District, Im not sure who, decided they would make the parking lot a pay parking lot. They charge you by the hour and its enforced heavily. Not very conducive to a public park. Now I drive past there almost every day and I see a beautiful part going to waste because no one goes there anymore. Why pay money to visit a park when there are hundreds, maybe thousands of other choices in the city. I believe this is where the term cutting off your nose to spite your face comes into play. Bad decision-making by our local government. Shameful! The park used to be full of picnickers, especially in the summer. Now its just a wasted piece of real estate. it used to be one of my favorites and now I havent visited there since this went into effect. I really dont see how the city is benefiting from this. Everyone loses.

Always like this place for fishing. Bad thing is they have PVC tubes in the concrete to hold your pole and they filled them up with concrete. Rumor has it that someone on a skateboard crashed because of these holes. The holes werent on the path but in the concrete drainage that all the lazy a$$ h[]/#$ cut threw. My tax dollars paid for that path and when they rule breakers do something stupid they take away the rule fallowers stuff. They could have just put up a 2 foot chain and made everyone happy.

Even though its on an extremely busy street (Harbor Dr) this park is a lesser-known spot that is beautiful, peaceful, convenient, v and has outstanding water/downtown views — especially at night. The sidewalk goes along the bay, giving you easy walking or jogging access to miles of coastline, including all of downtown and the embarcadero!

Directly across from the San Diego International Airport. so plenty of parking and great San Diego weather. 20 plus year annual festival.“Gator By The Bay is an all-in-one event that brings Louisiana’s rich and diverse culture right to San Diego Bay by showcasing Louisiana’s eclectic melting pot of history, food, music, dance and more,” said Peter Oliver, a Gator By The Bay Producer. “We truly pride ourselves in offering San Diegans and visitors alike the chance to experience authentic Louisiana culture.
