Great place for a walk overlooking SD harbor. Several pieces of public art are alongside the path.Only downside is that there isnt much shade, so bring a hat.

Pearls around the Pacific Ocean. The project Pacific Rim Park creates parks of friendship with elements of pearls, using it to unite cultures. The park combines the rich artistic traditions of each of the four countries. Decorations from shingles offer four quadrants of the Pacific region; Chinese dragon, American shoreline, Russian Siberian tiger and Mexican quetzalcoatl.

Been coming here for years. Fishing is great at this spot and its a beautiful place to take a walk. Be cautious at night around the areas where the benches are. Sketchy people sometimes but Harbor PD does a good job patrolling the area.

I absolutely love it here! The Pacific Rim Park is situated at the most southern point of Shelter Island. Here you have an excellent vantage point of the mouth of San Diego Bay. I love to sit here and watch all of the ships entering and leaving the Bay as well as listening the the sea lions across the Bay over at the Navy Base Point Loma.Here is also the place of my favorite statue- Pacific Spirit! I can not tell you how many photos I have taken of her over the years.I also recommend walking the trail which will take you over to the Shelter Island Pier and if you venture a bit farther, Shelter Island Launch Ramp.

Rad place for private docks and public docks alike. No worries!

Good place for Sunday Gatherings with the family. Parking is good to go from early morning to noonish, restrooms yupp, they gottem. Also fishing pier with shop even including a nice bar to get away from the action. Overall love the place frequent visitor during the summer.

All of Shelter Island is pretty.

Very nice waterside park. Free public parking with handicap accessible parking. Nice paved path along the water with constant views of the water with public art statues and such.

Have lived in San Diego all my life, and let me you, there is no place more peaceful than this location. Great place to read a book, or have a picnic, or simply just to watch the light of the sunset hit the city which always makes for a great picture. Would recommend anyone visiting SD to visit here.
