Plenty of grass to train any sport or to sit and relax. The walking path around the park is a mile long so its convenient for people that are keeping track on their walking or running habits. The two outdoor basketball courts are in good shape and its always fun to play some ball with random people. Personally I come here to walk, play basketball, exercise or at times enjoy the nice view.

Great place to play basketball and hand out. Park is very well kept. Green grass and the rec is clean. My sons basketball team, Get Better Hoops practices here.

I love this park! The grass fields are sooo big! There are 2 playground areas, baseballfield, basketball court, and community center with restrooms! My dog isnt friendly so to have a big space and he feels comfortable and isnt around alot of people helps!

HUGE park with playgrounds, basketball courts, and tables all over the park. Definitely a relaxing place to come with your loved ones.

The Montgomery Waller recreation center was a great trip. There is lots of green hills, and a playground for kids. The recreation was great. Overall a great time.

Its better if you bring a jacket if its night but I love going here with my friends and skate around

This park is descent but it is so dirty. There is trash everywhere. I saw park staff doing anything at all. They should clean this park more often because they are getting pay with tax money.

Lots of soccer players...all ages....park is big ....clean and easy to find.

Super trashy, I tried to go into one of the bathrooms in the southern side and there were spiders and flies everywhere. Absolutely disgusting, is there even cleaners here? smh

Careless dog owners have all but ruined this park. I tried to take my granddaughter there to play but literally every square foot of grass there had numerous pieces of dog feces. I dont understand why the City of San Diego does not crack down on these careless people who ruin things for everyone else. If you see people at this park not picking up after their dog, call them out on it. Tell them they are doing something wrong. Dont let them get away with it. Photograph and report them. If the City of San Diego is not going to live up to their responsibilities, then its going to be left to us.

My son is in taekwondo UMAF ! He loves it & improve the center & the park atmosphere. Ive been coming to the park for 10 years now & its still the same. All the grass makes the scenery beautiful.

This park is always well maintained. Rolling hills of grass and winding pathways make this a great place to take walk, jog, or bring a pet. It was basket ball courts, tennis courts, baseball fields, and a childrens place. The bathrooms are clean for public bathrooms. There is always plenty of parking. The rec center is pretty cool too. Offers awesome views of south San Diego.

This is a beautiful multifunction neighborhood park. I remember the glider wing from when I was a kid. The views are magnificent for this quaint park. Im so happy its still here after all these years.

Great park with hills and playgrounds

Montgomery Waller Park and Recreation Center serving our South Bay Community is a great wonderfull place. I must say there is something for everyone to enjoy, or just about everyone.I found it could be doing greater service if it had a skateboard ring down the west hillside. This would attract youth who presently use the freeway off ramps and steep hillsides like Smythe Avenue, Beyer Way and some steep neighborhood driveways, like the one at moms Mrs. Providencia Perez Colomier at 425 W. San Ysidro Bl.It could also serve another part of our Community, the homeless, allowing overnight parking in its parking lots. Giving a safer overnight area to sleep and leave early morning after clean-up. Public restroom facilities and lighting as well as picnic tables and barbecues are already there, and they also helped pay for it all. We werent always homeless! Sorry for the unsatisfactory review fellas! Lets get on it! For the Community!

Were here visiting my familyDaughter and grandson whom we havent seen for 2yrs. Went to Tacos El Gordo fist then to Christian to the park up the street. Great family time!!!

Good place to take the kids, nice wide open spaces. Soccer, baseball, football or model rockets Ive been coming here since I was a kid the silver wing atop the hill is nice to look at too.

They are so quick in taking your money for kid classes then the day of the class comes THEY HAVE NO INSTRUCTORS! Like a slap in the face for my child who really wanted to attend the class. No communication between staff, asking one another for info THEY SHOULD KNOW!

Great park. Large with several sports parks. Parking is a little limited at times.

Been coming here since I was a kid, played little league here when the park used to be called Lucky Waller instead of Montgomery Waller as it stands now. The wing back in the day never had lights or the Rec center and it kinda served as Inspiration point where couples went to make out. Montgomery high schools own. The park was next to suicide hill (no longer there) and way over to the east of palm was what we called the pitts where the oceanview houses are now east of Dennery rd.

The park is a lovely place walk and have picknicks...historians say that the wing is the remaining of a axtual plane

The place is really nice and has great views. Its kind of weird that they have soccer games on the hills instead of flat ground, but it is a nice place to visit and its not over run by homeless people or rude people.

Was there for soccer. Fields are sub par and have short chain link fence around them. Sub par means over grown grass to no grass on the same field.
