Martial Arts Moving up Ceremony at Adams Street Recreation Center. The children had to demonstrate their ability to translate (from Japanese to English) the meaning of the different titles in the art of JuJitsu. They performed the various moves (guards, etc.) on another participant in order to show they were proficient in their level of completion. Lastly, they were given instruction (in Japanese) to perform different types of kicks to perform on an exercise bag. Upon successful completion, they were awarded a new belt with a colored tip indicating their new title/level with their name on it (written in Japanese).
The field is fine, just 2 complaints. 1st off home plate always has a big hole next to It, which is very bad for ankles. 2nd they close the rest rooms about 7p, but games start as late as 830pm.
This place is like home to me. Always a smile and a helping hand waiting there. The kids are entertained and excited and theres always a program to enroll in.

Not the best park in San Diego but the lights stay on late, the field is almost always open and it connects with an open playground
Played kickball here for an adult league. Would do it again.
