Beautiful architecture for once. It’s a nice building to admire and a good break for the somewhat bland American building styles. Granted it’s probably built by the Spanish back in the day but none the less a great place to go to. I hear the theater is very nice and worth a visit inside. Also be sure to check out the fig tree on on the other side of the street.

Another San Diego gem. Many good quality and reasonably priced performances, in particular of the San Diego Youth Ballet. Nice seats, and good acoustics.

I have admired the beautiful and ornate facade on the front of the building many times, but this was our first event attended inside. What we found was a very good theater facility. The young people on stage, in the orchestra, and behind the stage did a fantastic job delivering the play Hunchback of Notre Dame. We will look forward to attending more theatrical productions here in the future

This theater is a fantastic venue for viewing performances. Not a single bad seat in the house! Went with my son to catch The Nutcracker....talk about stellar production, performances and costumes.....definitely returning!

All the kids have great talent. My 3 yr old was entertained from beginning to end.

Large theater, all seats have a great view of the stage. Tiny seats-- be prepared to share body warmth with the people on either side of you.

Premier theatre in Balboa Park for childrens performances from the ballet school among others. Parking can be tough but its worth the hassle. Very reasonable ticket prices. Great for kids of all ages.

Came here to watch the san diego youth ballet fairys in the park. IT WAS AMAZING. The theater is just what you would imagine a historic theater. Check this place out!
