Ive been here a few times, and the theatre is beautiful. There are loads of really fun events thrown here. The only downside is that they dont serve alcoholic beverages. I want a cider with my show! Ill still be back on a regular basis; this theater always has shows that I want to see.

I LOVED this place!!-FOOD-I got a chocolate milkshake ($8 for 16 oz) & sprinkle donut ($2.50) and they were both good!! Inside the movie, I ordered fries ($7) and they were too salty, wont order again. My only critic was that the food doesnt have the amount of calories.-SERVICE-Great service! Inside the movie theater, the waiters were very fast, quiet, and very polite. Ordering didnt interrupt the movie experience.-MOVIE THEATER-Great movie quality! LOVED the seats! Most comfortable movie I have ever been to ans the seats are recliners lots of leg room space too.-RECOMMEND-Yes!! Everyone should go I will most definitely come back!

Walking past I saw happy people getting the monster shakes brought to their table in amazement. I ordered mine (banana/nutella) to go since there were no more tables. I asked the bartender (where I was directed to place the order) to please have it assembled. He said ok, and I smiled with anticipation. I was brought to me in a medium sized cup at best, and the adornments in a bowl on the side. I knew it wouldnt look exactly like the ones brought to peoples tables, but theres no way that its the same size or amount that is in the order in ones. For $20+tip, I was severely disappointed, and now encouraged to ever try something from them again. I could have spent less than $5 for a bigger one, that taste just as good, at a fast food restaurant. The only thing I can say was nice is the atmosphere. Other than that, I wont be going back.

Overall experience was okay.I called in a day ahead to make reservations which is recommended - was assured I was getting the center seats together which is what I was hoping for. Picked up my tickets at Will Call and had no issues, only to then get to the theater and learn that my two seats together were actually halves of joint seats in which 2 single men were sitting. Not ideal for date night with my significant other. I asked for assistance being moved which was quickly handled, we moved to our new seats a row down in the center and together this time. We ordered drinks and proceeded to enjoy previews. Only to have our waiter /usher return to let us know that we would need to move again because the seats we were moved to were booked. This time, we were moved all the way to the end of the aisle. DEFINITELY NOT the best seats in the house and I would recommend not booking these particular seats when you choose ahead of time. Our drinks didnt come for over 20 min. as we watched everyone else around us get their respective orders. Kind of a lack luster experience especially after going through the trouble of doing what is recommended and making arrangements ahead of time in order to get good seats.Odd side note that I normally wouldnt ever comment on, but I heard multiple complaints around me - ladies restroom has no purse hooks in stalls, smelt disgusting & lacked paper towels or enough hand dryers (1 for all to use).Overall, the candy selection was nice, movie seats reclined and were comfortable and the drinks were not terribly overpriced for the area(red bull & vodka $7.25, makers & coke $10.25) We had a gift card to use for dinner, and made reservations. However we chose not to stay after our movie experience.

I was here on Super Bowl Sunday. The seats are comfortable and the sound quality is great. The lighting was super weird, though, and it caused a woman to get injured. There were zero lights as we entered the theater so we had to use the flashlights on our phones. Immediately after we sat down we heard a loud thud and noticed that an older woman had tripped over this odd little 6 inch wall at the entrance to the theater and hit her head quite hard. She had obviously not seen it given that it was pitch black in there. The woman needed immediate assistance and was unable to stay for the movie. Id love to say that management was quick to help out but in reality it took 5 minutes to find an employee and almost 10 minutes before they brought ice over to the woman, who was noticeably injured. After some time, she was helped out of the theater by the person she came with. I wouldnt be surprised if a lawsuit came there way related to this incident.During the movie itself, management had the light on a not-so-dim setting for the first half of the film which made for a weird viewing.Overall, not the greatest and I have no plans to go back.

Great location. Surrounded by many parking options. I visited the movie theatre on the second floor. Seats are comfortable/recline and each come with an attached tray for food/drinks as well as a service button. The first floor can be very busy/loud so if you like a more quiet environment I recommend enjoying a drink or a meal in the bar area on the second floor. I had the watermelon punch goblet which had just the right amount of sugar/sweetness which is made possible by adding the correct amount of ice to the beverage. Overall a very luxurious experience.

The idea is good, location is great, and the appeal of comfortable recliners is a big plus. I will start with the auditoriums. They are very nice, they are relatively small but the lighting could be better coordinated. Actually on one occasion the lamps were on from the moment I walked in and long into the movie and the next time, it was too dark and I had to use my cell phone to find my seat and see the menu. Thats the thing, when you try to order at the counter on your own, they discourage you. I think they lie and say their POS system in the front is down to give you no other option. They want you to order from inside the theater and will ignore you if you come up to concessions. The problem is that the service is very slow, we waited a long time from the moment we pressed the service button to the time they came, by that time the movie head started, maybe they are understaffed for that kind of service. The movie I watched was Uncut Gems and I dont know if it was the movie but the sound quality was terrible. Overall I was very disappointed with the experience and was hoping for a better experience on the second try but I think it may have been worse the second time around. It was a real pity since I love the fact that this historic theater rose back up. I would recommend a better execution overall, I still have hope for this place

My wife and I went to see Avengers End Game here in late April and wow- what a find! Love the location, the prices, the service, and the fact that they serve you in your seats. The theater itself is part of the Sugar Factory but is upstairs and has a full menu of food, drinks, and alcoholic beverage. The seats in the theater are overstuffed leather recliners and leave lots of space to stretch out and watch the movie. You can push a button on your seat and a waiter comes and serves you. The menu has lots of regular items as well as some really cool unique meals, snacks, and drinks. I had the Cheesey Cheeseburger (it has Mac and cheese in it) and a chocolate chip cookie ice cream sandwich. The wife and I were pleasantly surprised with the facility, the upscale service, and the prices (which were very comparable to what you’d expect to pay at an entry level theater).Hands down our new favorite place to see movies in San Diego.

I didn’t think anybody could make me feel so low but this place nailed it. I love there food it’s great but the service and the way they treat people is just not worth your time here. First I called and wanted to to a to go order they said they no longer did this. So I drove 20 min to come order and wait for this food. I walk in ask to do a to go order the host looked at me with a disgust look and said we don’t do that here you need to go over there (the bar area). (I walked in with a hoodie and sweatshirt so I m not looking great which is fine cause I m not dining). I stood at the bar 20 minutes, it wasn’t very busy at all. I feel like the way I dressed or looked made them think I wasn’t worth there time. A server came over and said “move hun your in my way” that’s the only interaction I got at the bar. There were two bartenders who looked at me once so I know they knew I was there. Then never asked what I wanted never looked at me again just continued to make drinks. One of the bartenders was done and looked lost on what to do she never came and asked me if I needed something never even tried. I finally gave up and walked out and felt like a nobody. I have never felt so invisible in my life till today. I Must not have looked the part I wasn’t dressed up or looked fancy. I won’t be going there again because this is the third time the service (people) have looked me over and decided I wasn’t worth there time.

I just walked out of this place and it was the absolute worst movie theater experience Ive ever had. I purchased the Valentines day package online, I get to the kiosk before the movie to pick up the tickets, and they acted like they were unsure of what it even was. We finally get that sorted out, get into the movie, and the Valentines card thats was supposed to be at our seats wasnt there, we talk to the waitress about getting the food and drinks that were included, only half show up, and with the wrong drink. I patiently waited for about thirty minutes for the rest of food to show up, surprise, it didnt. Call the waitress again, nicely ask for the rest of the food, and it never shows up. In summary the service was horrible, the whole experience and theater seemed cheap, and they made no effort for a package I paid a decent amount of money for. Dont bother with this place, Cinépolis is definitely the better theater for the money.

Overrated!! Thank goodness for Groupon because there is No Way I would have been happy spending $140.00 at this place for Sunday brunch, & a movie, even with bottomless mimosas. Brunch was supposed to start at 10. They were so unorganized we had to wait 20 minutes for the omelette station to finish setting up, and the same with the waffles. Some of the faucets and/or soap dispensers in the bathrooms were broken and/or not working, and half of the escalators werent working. Its my opinion that there are some management issues that need to be addressed here. All in all the food and the movie accommodations were good but not good enough for the original $140.00 price even if everything was spot on and in working order.

Our experience overall was good. Its not a large theatre and upstairs at Sugar Factory. When we arrived 10 minutes for our movie, the other movie was still going on, so we had to walk back out and hang out in the lobby, which I thought was odd. Other theatres movies dont end at the same time the other one starts, so I assume the cleaning may not have been as thorough as another theatre? Also, there wasnt anyone at the front podium checking/scanning tickets or to letting us know the other movie was still going on, which could have been helpful. Either or, once that other movie was released and everyone walked out, we headed back and sat down, THEN we had 30 minutes of previews which I was not a fan of. 15 minutes is doable, but 30 minutes is a long time for previews. The movie was supposed to start at 8:15 and did not come on until 8:44pm. We had a sitter and also paid for timed-parking, so its just something we did not consider and it did affect us. (Our parking ran over by 12 minutes and we had to pay extra). We just had dinner across the street and were very full, but we wanted dessert, although we didnt want it right away. About 45 minutes into a 2-hour movie, I clicked on the button to call our server in. About 20 minutes goes by and I had to click the button on and off 3x before anyone showed up. The server was nice and I dont know if they were short staffed or just busy. Anyway, we ordered the brownie & vanilla ice cream. It was ok, not the best. The brownie seemed old as it was cold and kind of hard so we didnt finish the whole thing. Overall it was an ok experience. Not the best, not the worst either. I would go again if I was downtown having dinner, but not my go-to unfortunately.

More minutes passed she never return neither did our food or another server. By this time I went outside the theater to find and speak with someone who advised me that the food was coming out and it would be right out. I returned to my seat and waited patiently withstill no food. The restroom was filthy, toilet paper strewn about and dead cockroaches on the wet, sticky floor. Service in the theater was poor, hardly what you would expect from a place that charges $24 for a dessert and $7 for a small bag of soggy popcorn.

Very clean and modern theater. I was visiting from out of town and there was a movie I wanted to see so I went here since it was near my Air B&B. I bought my tickets online which was nice but when I got there it was kind of confusing on what to do. You have to go upstairs to get to the theaters and despite what the website says you do not have to get there 30 minutes early. My wife and I got there really early and ended up hanging out upstairs for a while. The guy at the podium disappeared and we werent sure if our QR codes needed to be scanned or not and just ended up walking into the theater.without question. Im not a fan of people ordering and eating food in a movie because who wants to eat in the dark?! Plus, its annoying while youre trying to watch a movie with waiters walking past you all the time.

Love the chairs! Service at the seat was okay, but details were less than accurate. I suggest making your own box of candy before the movie. If you are ordering food, get there early to ensure all is correct. Great sound, comfy atmosphere, and $5 Tuesdays!

My family and I were super excited to go to this theater as we are total movie lovers. We go to the movies almost every weekend. Plus, I remember this theater when I was younger when it was Pacific Theaters. All in all, this theater was really nice with the right amount of glitz and glam. The Sugar Factory was nice, with their huge amount of candies and chocolate. Just dont fill your bag too much, because itll cost you.The escalators leading to the theaters were not working, but luckily the elevator was. Walking up the stairs would not be too bad, but I was with my uncle that as had knee surgery and it is hard for him to go up and down stairs. Im giving the Theatre Box the benefit of the doubt, because I know they are new, and those escalators have been out of commission for quite some time. The seats are very nice and comfy, but we did not quite understand the shallow cup holders on the mini tables at our seats. Weird. My cousin and I ordered the calamari and it was just ok. With the price that the calamari was, it could have been better and crispier. The rest of my family ordered the popcorn, but it did not remind them of the usual delicious Movie Theater Popcorn that you would get at any other theater. When my family asked for salt, they were given a container full of salt, and they had to try their best to sprinkle the salt on to their popcorn, to prevent them from having overly salted popcorn. Dont they know that it would be easier and more feasible just to invest in salt and pepper packets? My uncle ordered a soda that was brought to him in a wine glass, which cost him over $5.00 with no refills; not worth the money. The womens bathroom was clean and had a great deal of stalls, however, they had bottles of Dial or Soft Soap hand soup on the sinks, that barely had soap in them with one hand dryer and no paper towels! Yes, I said ONE!!! I get going Green, but REALLY!I understand that they want to be upscale and fancy, but not even Cinepolis gives sodas in wine glasses; and they are the FANCIEST Movie Theater Ive ever been to. They have salt and pepper packets and much tastier popcorn and food over all.All in all, this place has a lot of potential, and most likely I will be back. But they have some kinks they need to work out for sure.

For my first time coming here. I will never come back to this place again. My movies started at 10:45p and the theatre was nasty and dirty. They didn’t clean it and had us wait outside until it was cleaned. When going to order food, we were told we could only order concession food or drinks from the bar. I would’ve just saved my money and went to AMC or drove to Del Mar. For the money i spent on a ticket here, it didn’t leave up to the experience .

The theater itself is very cool and comfortable, however, my friend and I both ordered avacado toast at the beginning of the movie. I got mine after half of the movie had already played. My friend called them several times because she hadnt gotten hers yet. They said it was coming. She never received hers. We went to the front desk afterward to ask for a refund and they claimed they never charged her even though they took her card. We also waited a very long time for them to tell us that. Bad service.

We went to see Endgame for the 745 showing in theater 4... it was the worst. The AC was broken, so a three hour and one minute movie with 33 sweaty people. I swore by this theater, however I may reconsider. It was so uncomfortable and the food service took forever. Then when the popcorn came out, it was so stale it was not eatable. All of the prices are upwards of a dollar or two more than listed on the menu. Totally disappointed and unlikely to return. Waste of a lot of money.

Great place if you like the club, and like to eat, but you know that you are too old to be seen in a club...go to the Sugar Factory...they serve good food and drinks with loud club music...

Great location, I of course had to park in the mall lot but it was labor day weekend sooo... ($18 this time in particular...but usually$20) if you dont mind the short 6 min.walk that part is ok! Theatre was clean and definitely luxurious with those prices. It was a great experience regardless, the seats were really comfortable and it was not freezing

The reclining seats are comfortable, but during our visit everything seemed a bit slipshod. Escalators not working, no staff were there to check us in (we could have walked in without tickets), and bizzarely the lights were turned down before the movie so you couldnt read the menu.
