In perspective this coarse is beautiful. No PGA tourneys will be played here, but it will be fun. The views and breeze keep this east county gem comfortable even on a warm day. The price is right and service is high quality. My new favorite Friday office meet up.

A wide variety of holes here. Paid less than $50 for a weekend morning tee time. Greens and tee boxes were in good shape. Would consider this course again.

I have played Mission Trails a few times. I called to confirm a reservation today. Paul answered the call. From the start her was rude commenting on how he was c almost off work, couldnt wait and had the attitude I was inconveniencing him. When I asked him about carts, he explained forest come first serve. I tried to tell him that I have a bad leg and cant walk a course. Before i barely staystarted he commented that ADA laws dont apply. This guy is awful, rude and doesnt care about how care about how he treats people. I cant believe he still had his job.

I like the course. Its very fun to play and a good enough challenge. One questions though, why is everyone who works here so rude? Paul from the Pro Shop.. what happens to you each morning that you feel the need to speak to people is such a demeaning and negative way? Either cheer up or get a job where you dont interact with other people. The attitude of the people who work here is the sole reason I wont be returning.

The course is in good condition. The greens are excellent. There are plenty of cart path only holes. Some ground areas are muddy and brown. Also, plenty of ground under repair.Friendly staff.I noticed theyve increased green fees. I Played early morning today to beat the hot summer sun. It was warmer than usual. Started playing at 72 degrees and end the rounds at 94 degrees. Thats hot. Good rounds for me considering Ive not played for months.Good golf.

Course is decent at best. cheap price so you cant complain too much, but pace of play is a problem. Its also very challenging to get the employees in the pro shop to answer the phone. They make you go online to set reservations and that charges you money...

Staff is friendly and the greens are nice... with that said the rest of the course is junk!Plan on searching for a decent patch of grass on the tee boxesThe fairways go from dry crispy dead grass to flooded muddy areas youll want a ball retriever to keep your feet from sinking (probably a lot of broken sprinkler lines)The rough is mostly dirt but its a target course so thats fineAll in all play it for practice and fill your divots to help them out!

One of the best golf deals in san diego. great course for under $30. Back nine is more challenging than front 9. I also like that it usually plays in under 4.5 hours. Definitely a 5 star course for the price.

This is a very nice golf course on the shadow of Cowles Mountain and adjacent to Lake Murray. Moderately challenging for the expert and definitely challenging for the amatuer. It is crisscrossed by drainage channels which add to the necessary calculations. Prices are reasonable, especially if you are a member of the players club.

Course is in good shape. Mid week games can be played in 4 hours or less. Staff and patrons are always friendly and pleasant. Ambassadors roam the course with water and ice, but no beverage cart during weekdays (not sure about weekends). Only drawback is the absence of any grass on the driving range and lack of a chipping practice area

Fr
Review №38

May not be the best golf course in San Diego area BUT, the price is right. Affordable with some unexpected difficulty holes. A few holes play longer than actual distance. Players club members do get the biggest discount price. There are better courses and there are cheaper courses but Mission Trails made a perfect compromise between the two worlds.

People are great, but stick a fork in the course. Fairways are hardpan and they cross or get so close that Golf Buddy cant keep the holes straight. The sixth hole became the seventh! The course simply is not worth playing for any level of golfer. Stay close to the coast.

This has been my home course since I began playing golf ten years ago. If Id known it was so much fun I wouldnt have waited until 50 to start playing this game. Mission Trails is a great course and the greens yesterday were in great shape. This course has a wide variety of holes which will appeal to all types of golfers. I still consider myself a hacker but keep coming back because every round has a couple of wow shots which encourage my return. Thanks Mission Trails for your great service, wonderful course setup, and an enjoyable round of golf every time. Kenneth Boss Nice new golf carts too!!!!!

Review №48

Played August 2015. Greens were manicured well, but overall the greens are pretty small. However, they were soft, so your lob would stick & not bounce off. I played twilight during the week, starting at about 2:30 PM and finished my round in about 4 hrs. Other reviewers here said that play could back up severely, and that is totally believable given the terrain of the course (many elevation changes on the back nine) and how hard some of the holes are. My experience was good and will consider coming back.

Review №50

Expect 3.5 hours for 9 and 6-7 hours for 18 holes. I play a few times a week here and this is consistent. They keep it up pretty well, and its cheap. Only problem is the idiots who come to play that dont know what golf ball they play. Every time I play there are guys who play whatever looks good. Ive had multiple people play my ball and lie about it.Its also barren desert or Louisiana swamp on the course so be prepared

Review №53

I enjoy playing at Mission Trails because, for a public course it can be challenging. I play the mid to high 80’s (sometimes even higher) and for the price, I find it to be a great deal. That and the fact that it is close to me makes this my course I go to all the time. For the most part I have been partnered with nice people and have had a great time. The staff is great and tries to make the experience even better. The placement of trees and those never to be sufficiently darned ditches, make ball placement kinda important. While the greens arent the best in the city, they sure arent worst. All and all it is well worth it.

Its pretty quiet and the course is well maintained. The greens are nice, but the edges of the holes arent very clean and so theres a lot of roll outs. I dont put that on the attendants, just the golfers who dont respect them.

The worst! Please do us a favor and close. Think of a cow pasture, then think worse it’s here at Mission Trails. The amount of “water hazards” is a joke they are concrete spillways. The amount of hard ground and dirt. No grass on fairways none. Then you get to play actually pretty good greens. Sorry good greens don’t make up for horrible conditions. Ok I walk in the pro shop to pay for our fee. Price was great ! But the lady had a major attitude. Right off the the bat I knew this the was a hard luck day ! The greens were fair but the course layout was so unusual. An on top of the the marshal was very rude it was my first time on the course he approached me 4 times !! Because i was driving my cart on the fairway. Any other course is allowed to do that !! If thats not enough people steals your balls!!! This course sucks to be honest Id rather go to mission bay golf course. An it felt like I was in my backyard.

Review №81

This course is very reasonably priced which brings anyone who has golf clubs to this course. Dont worry if youre wearing jeans or dont have a collared shirt, they let anyone on this course as long as you have money to pay for a round. The front nine seems to have been squished together just so they could have 9 holes. Because of the shortness of the layout it is always backed up, making this course the longest round of golf Ive ever played (on multiple occasions).About half of, if not more, of the holes have a blind tee shot. Leading to many balls being lost out in the open. The have the classic southern cailifornia native grass as their rough so as expected its like playing out of your own backyard. The greens arent half bad though. With all the business their driving range gets, they put no money into maintaining or improving their practice facility. So expect getting a bucket of not so good balls and to hit off of bare mats.
