This is our go-to place for renting skiffs to go fishing around Mission Bay. You must book online now and they open at 9:30 am. They process is quite fast and you pay online. The only bummer was that they werent doing bait sleds this time and we werent able to keep our bait alive for that long. We typically go every year with the kids and everyone enjoys a day of fishing and snacking on the boat. The boats are clean and well maintained so rest assured the boat is not going to fall apart. Each skiff has about a gallon of gas which is plenty for the entire day of fishing .

I BASICALLY PAID 90$ FOR 35 MINUTES OF JET SKIING. 20 minutes of the jet skiing time were taken up by driving 5mph to/from the official water, (10 minutes to and 10 minutes from the actual space). The customer service was weak. The receptionists were unmotivated and the receptionist guy assumed I was too young to ride. He asked me if I was 18 and I said no (Im 21). I previously booked the jet skis online where I had to verify that I was of age. Since I looked too young to him, he didnt even ask if I had a name or reservation. This was my first time there so I filled out a small form he gave me and followed his orders. I headed down to the dock where they had to send me back after the confusion because he had not given me the right papers. My entire group lost time because of that and I missed some of the intro rules for the jet skis safety. The jet skis have a little compartment in the front for valuables so they wont get wet. EVERYTHING in that compartment got wet. Im glad to not have had any electronics in there. Please fix your customer service and let your customers know that they will not be fully enjoying the jet skis for an hour. I basically paid 90$ for 35 minutes of riding on the jet skis. It was fun! but not what I paid for.

Perfectly executed. The crew was awesome. Friendly, very adept at handling the boat, and while relaxed they clearly always had safety as the primary focus. Nice boat and great views of city, islands, and bridges from the bay. Highly recommend this tour.

Avoid at all costs if Harrison is there!! Worst customer service. Harrison used the F word more than 20 times in front of kids and other families waiting near the dock. The rest of the staff were fine but Harrison ruined it all for everyone with his attitude. Not to mention the extra hidden fees that’s we had to pay for upon signing. I would give this place zero starts if I could. Definitely not coming back and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Booked a Jet Ski, but wasnt able to go on our trip. I was just happy at how simple and helpful they were with cancelling. Typically its a hassle to get done, but they were very kind and got the email confirmation right away. Hope to use them in the future.

My husband and I have rented boats from Seaforth multiple times. If I could give Seaforth 10 stars, I would. We have been treated kindly by multiple staff members in Mission Bay, Downtown, and Coronado. Thanks for the great memories!

The only reason im giving 1 stars is because the ladies that check us in were very sweet other than that is was a horrible experience. I gifted my 2 adult children with an hour long jet ski experience at check in today 7/13/2020 @ 1030 we were giving an emergency # to call in case something happened however when my daughter did have an emergency Nobody answered the Phone. My daughter called me from the water stranded and scared, I drove back to the rental site and asked them why nobody was answering all i received was strange looks. I then walked and was able to personally assist my daughter who at this point lost 15 min of the hour we paid for. We returned the jetskis and requested to speak to a manager, the women who introduced herself as the manager then told me that they have so many calls and cant answer every call for HELP!!!! Then why give one if you refuse to answer !!!!! No apology given, just . So basically your on your own, rent somewhere else!!!!

Grant was extremely helpful and answered all questions. However, when we first arrived an extremely rude girl named josefina checked us in. She was extremely unwelcoming with her tone of voice and service. Need a better welcome party next time especially for first time jet skiiers.

I reserved a limo boat back in March right as things were getting crazy with COVID-19. I cancelled my reservation well ahead of my reservation date of March 29, 2020, which your company policy allows a full refund for. Two months later and I have not received a refund for my $1075.00. I have sent 5 emails asking for a refund and gotten no response. I called your company today and spoke with someone on the phone, who told me I should just contact my credit card company and figure out how to get refunded myself. AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Interestingly your company is back open and taking new business reservations and peoples $, but cant take care of refunds from 2 months ago?

The employees and their management are too disrespectful to their customers. I have never expected their employees and their management to teared the customer in a very rude and unacceptable ways...!! I would never suggest any of my friends to never ever go in this place for any sort of fun activities...

Shady staff!!Booked a few hours for the limo boat over the weekend and to be honest, we had a lot of fun. I would’ve been happy to give these guys a great review if it wasn’t for how everything turned out afterwards. When the ride was over, my girlfriend had left her glasses on the boat. I understand in most circumstances, lost property is on the consumer and that is fine. However, I called in for them to check and they said they would give us a call back. No word from them so we called back and ended up speaking to Donny. When speaking with Donny he notified me that he had found the glasses and described them to me without me even giving a description. We were very excited to know they found our glasses, so then Donny let us know he had given them to his boss, Harrison. When we talked to Harrison, he didn’t know what we were taking about and he was never given any glasses. We asked to please look around as they were in their possession last and give us a call back. A couple of days later we call them to follow up with Harrison and still nothing. He notified me that it was our fault that we left them in the first place but doesn’t even acknowledge his dishonest and shady staff. I will never do business with these people ever again, we spent $1400 on the experience and lost another $200 on the glasses. Customers should always come first and honest and integrity is apparently not one of their principles. If you do decide to go with this company, I recommend to keep a strong eye on all your belonging. Very disappointed guys.

Originally tried to go next door to h20 rentals who was closed during posted business hours, left no note on the door, and wouldn’t answer phones. Saw that seaforth was next door and open. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Jet ski rental was cheap and tons of fun. Recommended!

I only gave them one star because you can’t give them zero. This place had horrible management, they promised us a $110 speedboat price (a discount priced) and then we drove 45 minutes because we thought we would get a fun. We got there and they told us that we couldn’t take out the boat because of the winds but they never told us in advance. So we drove 45 minutes and instead of honoring the price they were rude and wanted us to pay an extra $60 to upgrade the boat. If I were you, I would not come here, we were mistreated.

Rented a bay skiff and had a blast.

While on vacation, we were debating about whether to take a chartered harbor cruise or to go to Seaforth and rent our own boat. After finding out we couldnt take our dog on the cruise, we opted for Seaforth and didnt regret that decision at all. We rented a 25 pontoon boat and spent a couple hours out on the bay. It was a great and easy experience, the staff was great, and the boat was very clean (and brand new). And our dog could come with us! It was a great experience and wed definitely do it again.

One of the best days in San Diego I have ever had because of Seaforth boat rental. I took my lady out on a paddle board and jet ski. Service was amazing and employees were even better. Will recommend to friends.

Which started off as an Awesome Labor Day weekend turned into a waste of money and time doing business with this place . Reserved 3 jets skis for Monday 9/2 @11:45Arrived at 11:40Went thru the safety wavier and rules and regulations . Signed all the papers that’s whenI then learned I would not have any access to the beach where the rest of my family (of 10) was located . Advised the front desk if there would be any way I could get them relocated and then start my time, she told me “ no leave your wives and kids for 3 hours they’ll be ok “ and continued with “ if we left to get them the time would be non refundable” . Cool knowing how most these places are booked for holidays I understand how they have other reservations . I put everything aside, suited up, and headed to the deck at 12:00 only to find out they only have 2 of the 3 jet skis I rented and would not be able to accommodate my reservation in anyway. They refused to pay the difference at any other locations for the inconvenience. they refused to push back reservations and pretty much all they gave me for a “ Sorry” for the 3 days worth of time and money invested to bring my family toThis place just to get told after taking all my money, that we couldn’t ride . Literally paid upfront . Paid all deposits on arrival . Just to be on the loading dock, my holiday plans won’t be accommodated do to their lack of customer service.Their argument is they’ll refund me everything ( which is a given) won’t charge me for the day. Cool, but they failed to understand and reason with the fact, I’m from out of state. I came here solely to ride jet skis on labor day. I took off extra days at work and I booked everything around this vacation including Hotels, Rentals, Food, etc. Non of that is cheap on holiday weekends and my family planned to be in the water . Extremely disappointed with this facility and the way they handled our prepaid reservation . Yes they refunded everything . But they also have $900 of our money on a security hold cause of everything that we won’t have access to for the rest of Our trip here.Update 9/5 3 days later still no access to my funds which I would of been kind of mad about even if I got the skis I’m 10x more upset cause I didn’t even get to sit on a ski and we’re out of 1500 until their bank releases the funds . They only want acknowledged the fact my family was stuck on the beach and tried to blame me for not listening to the rules and regulations . Only then did I find out they only had 2 out of the original 3 rentals I reserve reserved for 3 hrs weeks in advance .The owner never acknowledged that fact they didn’t even have the jet skis to rent us in the first place. I booked a reservation and spent a bunch of money in advance only to find out they couldn’t accommodate my reservation . Nothing to do with the beach, solely bad business ethics on your company .

Enjoyable overall. First time on a jet ski. Not much guidance. A little too inflexible when it came to time on the bay vis-a-vis payment.

Rented a sail boat today and the staff was very helpful. Good prices. The boats are getting a little aged and you have to keep in mind these are rentals.. however they are rigged correctly and function fine. I rented here this past June also and had great service. Quick check in and out this time of year. Remember the dock boys are young men in high school or college, so keep in mind how detailed you were at that age. They are friendly and will answer all questions. Also keep in mind there are really only 2 rental companies on mission bay.

I didnt do the actual rental. A friend has a sailing club membership here. He took us out on one of the 32 sailboats. The service in the boathouse was quick. We were checked in in 5 minutes and headed to the dock. The teenager who brought the boat around for us must have been doing this for the first time. He made some mistakes in checking the boat that I bet he never makes again. Floating around several of the bays was beautiful and a wonderful way to spend the afternoon.

Rented Jet skis for a group of 8. They were easy to work with and the staff was friendly. Good service, normal pricing and the jets were in great condition. Had fun riding there, will definitely recommend it

Ive rented here many times, from the Coronado marriot in the summer. They are very attentive and their boats are well maintained. I always had fun and their boats never breakdown

My wife and I took the two day introductory sailing class over a recent weekend. It is guided and certified by the American Sailing Association and offered by a certified instructor. We started off having only read the text book -- which is a start, but the hands-on experience is vital. Our instructor offered practical guidance, but at times seemed impatient with his rookie class...especially me! The facilities and boats were clean and safe, although getting on in years. The price was favorable when we compared with many others who offer the same course. The San Diego Bay is a beautiful location for this training, but on weekends it got a bit crowded. The only thing I would have changed is to offer the program during the week when it was less crowded.

What a horrific experience being their neighbors. They have no respect for the speed limit or any other safe boating regulations. If your boat gets hit by one of their vessels they will not take responsibility unless you have video evidence. Hit and run is the norm. Their staff sets the example of speeding when the park the vessels after use. Filling an official complaint against them with the lifeguard station and will be doing it with all my fellow neighbors. Everyone has the right to do business, just have to follow the rules and would have a problem. There owner, manager and staff is not helpful nor are they willing to address the issues. I will do my best to have all authorities concerned notified of their bad management.

I went in during the evening on 11-10-15. Talked to a lady about pricing for renting a jet ski. I asked if there was any deposit due at the time of rental. She said there was not, they only needed a credit card and ID.I returned the next day with a VISA card with all of our honeymoon money on it. As I presented an ID and credit card, I was told there would be a $500 deposit, and I would not get it back for 3-7 business days. When I confronted the cashier about what I was told the day before, she just shrugged and said I dont know we always had a $500 deposit. She said they would not take a cash deposit, but would only take it on the card.

BBQ DONUT!! A donut boat with a bbq grill in the middle?! SO FUN. I probably want to so this every time I visit San Diego. BYOB food and drinks. Seats up to 10. Awesome speakers, you can hook up you iPhone/iPod. $300 for 3 hrs. It goes 5-7 mph, super chill, so so fun.

The girls at the desk were great but when I presented my complaints about my trip I was rudely comfronted by a guy in a red shirt who argued with me over the $20 I was trying to get discounted off my bill. As an out of town visitor I was very suprised with the rude insulting manner in which this gentleman treated my boys and me. Go somewhere else. Try Dana landing boat rentals for a fishing skiff.

This place sucks! They charged my girlfriends card twice for the deposit so a total of 800 dollars and over drafted her account... the girl at the front desk was very rude when we got there and by the time my girlfriend realized she was charged twice the place was closed.. horrible customer service and way over priced and ovbiously the girl at the desk doesnt know how to work a cash register so I would not trust her with any of my cards. Never going back and would not recommend this place to anyone! Also she didnt say anything about an extra 20 dollar fee of gasoline until after we were done.. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND NOT TO GO HERE THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER BOAT RENTALS IN THE AREA!
