Daniel just saved my freaking life. My friend accidentally dropped my car keys while getting out of the Kayak... and we’re from Arizona. I tried diving for them but I couldn’t get them and the water was too dark to see. Daniel got in the water for them and after a couple minutes he was able to get my keys back. I have never felt so relieved and he was so incredibly helpful and kind. Companies need staff like him. Thank you SO much man

Decided to set up a boat rental for a nice Sunday ride with four friends. The staff was incredibly helpful in getting us acquainted with all rules for riding on the water. Very friendly and helpful staff, there to inform you and help you have the best possible experience on the water. I have gone back several times now and would recommend this to anyone interested in renting for a fun day!

The Aquila 44’ is a beautiful boat. It came as pictured & was even more lovely and accommodating in person. The problem comes in when the staff doesn’t let us know that these boats are not owned by the company but are being privately rented. Therefore, we paid full price for a 3-hr Yatch and was not able to even use the rooms (the full boat). So each boat will come with different rules, maybe the same basic concept, but I’m sure each owner holds a different insurance policy, therefore, different rules. The staff also LITERALLY let a man DIE in front of us (no I am not making this up or kidding, we have video proof and I’m sure the people who were passing by have uploaded videos to the web). The staff pulled the man by his feet out of the water (leaving his head submerged), then laid him on his stomach and left him. He was convulsing & spitting up foam and could not breathe. When we tried to assist the staff (We are all Active duty military/Medical CPR Certified) who was just standing there watching, they refused our help and to administer CPR along the collar bone not under the left breast. The trip overall was fun because we are not the type of people to dwell on the little things. But to be a boating company and your staff can not save a life when needed is super scary. It’s also not very good business to not put your customers in touch with the actual owners or give the rules of the boat BEFORE the trip (NOT TELL THE DRIVER TO TELL US THE BOAT’S RULES)

I rented a 27-foot sailboat last weekend and I was very pleased. It was cheap and easy to get a 2-hour rental without a skipper (just me and my friend). They did not seem to require particular sailing certifications: I have the European equivalent of the ASA Bareboat, I wrote it on the website when I booked the boat, but I don’t know if they cared. Two hours was enough to have fun visiting the bay of San Diego and teach my friend a bit of sailing. The boat is a bit old but pleasant to look at, perfectly equipped for day sailing, and comfortable with its cockpit cushions and clean heads. The staff is efficient (could be a bit warmer but that’s OK), they got us quickly on the water. The check-in was indeed quite fast. I am experienced at renting sailboats and that worked well for me. Don’t hesitate to ask questions if you are a beginner. Check-out was easy: you just bring the boat next to its birth, without the need for complicated manoeuvring, and they take care of the rest. In conclusion, it was exactly what I wanted, a sunny afternoon sailing in the bay, for a very good price.

We rented a 17 pleasure boat over the veterans day weekend. The rental process was easy and staff was easy. My biggest complaint is the quality of the product. The boats were heavily used, worn out and abused. My gas and RPM gauge were non functional. The safety lanyard wasnt attached and the boat still ran without. Seats were worn and ripped. Paint job was faded and seats barely had any cushioning. Overall the boat was just messy, worn down and needed ALOT of repair. At almost $400 just for a couple hours, I thought Id be getting alot more.

Well where do I start... well a man DIED ON OUR TOUR and the staff allowed the man to lay in the water. The man began to severely convulse then the staff decided to pull him out upside down while leaving a drowning Head underwater wants out of water they laid him on his stomach. Me and my friends continually tried to tell them That he is not breathing the staff continues to tell us “he is breathing his stomach is moving” that man laid there for five minutes before they decided to turn them over and realize he was foaming at the mouth. They wouldn’t let anyone else help then they tried to do CPR and was doing it wrong it wasn’t listening to instruction to do it correctlyMy friend had to Yellit them to use a mouthpiece they initially grabbed the wrong one and then when they did grab the correct one there was using it incorrectly wasting valuable minutes and all in all they failed that man With their negligence

Do not rent from these guys. Dishonest people. Accused us of damage we did not do. Charged our credit card without authorization. We returned the boat in the same condition that it was given to us. They accused us of putting a hole in the boat when there was no damage.

So I decided to try this place out cause Hilton charged us their Urban destination fee which included a 1- hour kayak or paddle board rental from sea forth. Finding the place was a hassle. They had no more jetski rentals( which is what we really wanted to do). Then we decided on the kayak to which they said where is your voucher. Not a very helpful staff. The hotel said nothing about a voucher just to come here first come first serve. I even had called the help desk. Totally messed up our weekend.

Rented a sail boat today and the staff was very helpful. Good prices. The boats are getting a little aged and you have to keep in mind these are rentals.. however they are rigged correctly and function fine. I rented here this past June also and had great service. Quick check in and out this time of year. Remember the dock boys are young men in high school or college, so keep in mind how detailed you were at that age. They are friendly and will answer all questions.

Fantastic rental.Myself and for other friends went to rent a boat for the first time ever it while visiting San Diego. We had an exceptional time with these guys hooked us up quite easily, explained everything, gave us a clear directions and made is confident renting a boat. They give us a few extra minutes and waive the extra fee for coming back a little bit late. Overall it was an amazing experience the boat was very well maintained maintained and equipped and clean and Nick the guy who helped us out was very clear and all of his instructions to. I would recommend these guys to anybody.

Large selection of boats at various price points. Most of them are quite well maintained although I have gotten stuck in the middle of the bay before. But they responded quickly and brought a replacement boat right out to us. Dont worry about learning boating lingo or using the radio, just call em on your cell.Make sure you read the fine print or at least ask about it as some of the larger boats have a fuel surcharge on top of the rental charge. This made the coast of the rental $60.00 more than advertised.Having owned a boat in San Diego before, $400 for a nice boat for a couple of hours is WAY cheaper than owning one yourself.Really nice people here also.

Unwilling to work with us on a simple schedule change due to the weather and my safety concerns, and that of my family. Pushy, rude, unprofessional, and most of all...you lost a loyal customer today and got yourself this negative review. After reading the rest of the 1 star reviews, I’d say you need to take a harder look at your business practices and reconsider your return policy, and perhaps you should post your fees, in their entirety, and your policy with regard to schedule changes, cancellations and refunds. My next call is to the San Diego Better Business Bureau.

What an experience!!! Called a couple of locations and though I might add, this isnt the cheapest place, it is the most least expensive place that has above average customer service. Rented a 20ft powerboat for 4 hours and had a BLAST! We were welcomed with smiles, and the attendant was already preparing our boat. We brought a cooler and lunch and they even helped load the boat with our belongings. With a brief explanation on how to operate the boat safely, and where are limits were, and even some recommendations on some sweet spots to swim and take some rad photos of the San Diego skyline, we were on our way. By the time we departed, we were 40mins into our rental, but did they count that time...NOPE! They still gave us our 4 complete hours. Im sure it would have been different on a super busy day with back to back rentals, but this was not the case. Cant wait to come back and rent a boat from them again! Thank you to the staff for making this an unforgettable adventure!

Excellent day out. It started well when Ellie opened the gates for us 5 mins early. We had a choice of boats then an excellent briefing. We were signed up and away within 20 mins. Everything worked well throughout the day. -- The only thing I couldnt find was a boat hook?Very much looking forward to another trip one day. Thank-you.

There are lots of boat/jet ski rentals in the area, definitely go with one of them. The staff are very rude here and wont give you all the information you need to run the vehicle, some of which are faulty. Then if/when you spend all your time trying to fix it or make it work, theyll still charge you for that time since technically you had it out on the bay for that time, even if it was their carelessness that led to the problem and they didnt bother to warn you. Also look out for them trying to blame you for the problem even if youve only been driving it a couple minutes and arent even out of the cove yet.

Dont even think go and rent from them .. Their sign said $65 for an hour but once you about to rent it, they will take $15 for the gas and $500 as a deposit. Also, it takes 7 business days to get your deposit back. The blonde lady was so mean too. Go to O2 next to them

Scammers! I was having my first boat ride ever with my family and i was told that the boat ride was 200$ for 2 hours! I found out that they charged me 342$ later on and when i called to complain they said that i had the higher price boat cause this was the only one available at the time!I wasnt given any note nor i was made aware that i was given a different boat at a different rate and they refused to correct the payment! They have also charged me for fuel surcharge which they never mentioned when you rent the boat!

The staff is not as nice as the staff at the mission bay. Very bad is, that the prices for the waverunner are much higher than in the mission bay. 100$ instead of 65$ is way to much. I dont have a explanation for that because the prices for the sailboats are the same...

I rented a wave runner Friday morning when they opened, and they were very friendly. Was gone for little over an hour and the total was about 112$. Was prob 8years since i rode on one. So i probably only averaged around 25-35 kph. Since there is a fuel sur charge, that probably helped.
