On busy days at Shelter Island Boat Launch these are the old fossils in orange vests trying to impersonate city workers. My experience is that they like to get in boaters faces and badger them into hurrying up and making mistakes when launching. These people are rude and all you need to do is tell them to leave you alone, and that you can handle your boat just fine. They have no authority and the City of San Diego takes no liability for their mouths or actions, so best to ignore them.

Thoroughly enjoyed our trip from Sausalito around the bay on Bat Wolf. Captain Joe and Aaron were excellent guides and were fun to talk to about sailing and also gave us space to hang out up on the bow. They also accommodated that we were interested in learning and we wanted to be interactive. Drinks and snacks provided us a good energy boost after the afternoon in the sun. Will definitely book again next spring or summer.
