We visited here using our San Diego go pass. And I was pleasantly surprised. Rather than being an antiquated sketchy fair as I had imagined it is an updated modern fun space with some nostalgic rides. Our pass included go karts, a zip line, put put, a ropes course, rock climbing wall and all the rides. Im sure if you pay for things individually the prices would add up fast but it was an amazing deal with the pass and they offered other arm band deals as well. Such a fun way to spend our evening and the parking was free!

Great amusement park with old school roller coaster. Rides for adults and children are closed due to Covid-19. Close to the beach and boardwalk. Arcade games and shopping. Plenty of great restaurants and bars nearby. Fun place to spend the day for young and old alike. Close to the marina at Dana Point Landing and a nice stroll down the boardwalk from Pacific Beach.

Covid Really shut down a lot... no rides currently and that may change - depends on local and state restrictions. I did post a pic as of 10/17/2020of what they’re offering. Rock wall, zip line and everything was cool - look on Groupon for deals.**Graphic Description warning**The swimming pool is extra (currently $10/person and they have $2 per towel rental if you forget). The obstacle course is really cool but personally I give them a thumbs down. We alerted the life guards to some blood - mucus like substance in the water (there was quite a bit - and I would’ve thought they’d have shut the pool down and get it cleaned out but they let it go. One lifeguard wouldn’t leave his station and was disinterested in helping. It was gross so we left...

Trying to find parking here was unfortunately a nightmarish experience. We came at 5pm and when we left at close to 8pm the parking lot was still a nightmare. You have to be extremely aggressive to secure parking. Im not sure if the massive crowds here on a Saturday evening was normal or if its more crowded because of covid and people are stir crazy.I was kind to others when I left and made sure I blocked the car in the opposite direction by the way I chose to leave so that the car that actually flagged me down first could get in my spot. The streets in and out were heavily congested too after coming off of the 5 freeway. It took over 30 minutes to reach the parking lot and when we left after 8pm it took another 30 minutes to get back onto the freeway. I wont ever return here on my limited precious free weekend time if the massive crowds are the norm. So much time was wasted to find parking and driving less than 3 miles to reach and leave the park. The beach itself was fine and the sunset did not disappoint so I cant say I hated the experience here. Not everyone along the boardwalk or walking around on the beach choose to wear masks and no one enforces anything so keep that in mind if you want to visit at your own risk during these times.

I have nothing against the place itself. But today is our first day here in San Diego, and the police gave us a citation ticket because two of us hop on on a scooter. It maybe against the law or rules, we didnt know. They didnt warn us. They just citated us a ticket. While other people are also doing the same thing and they get nothing. It was a traumatic experience for us. Its a nice place, but I dont see myself getting back there ever. I dont even want to see another scooter.

I love taking kids here. They loves the puppet show and talks about it at home. We plan to go to the next puppet show. This was the first place we ever saw one. I recently discovered my kid has sensory problems so that explains why he couldnt ride all the fun rides. When he was 2 years old he actually didnt have these sensory issues, and rode more rides. I think exposure to teachers and students who bully him at school made him afraid of physical harm.

Its been a fun day. My middle son was desperate for excitement in this COVID-19 era. Several rides were closed, which, if we had known, would have led us to skip the ride pass for our 2-year-old. The older boys have had a good time. The Ride & Play pass was definitely the right choice for them. Maybe about half the people are wearing masks. Social distancing protocols could use some work, but usually they are loading the rides with spacing in mind.

Unfortunately because of COVID, the attractions here were closed but a few of the eateries were open. This did not detract from enjoying this attraction, which we chose to experience at night all lit up. I think if it were open, it would be a perfect family fun outing, complete with carnival rides, photo opportunities and casual dining. There are classic amusement park rides here, including a merry go round, a bright yellow submarine, twirl a whirl, NASCAR inspired miniature cars and roller coaster. You will also find an arcade, an escape room (Escapology) and other fantasy experiences. There is an ice cream shop and plenty of small booths that line the park (but not open now) of souveneirs and other goodies. You can even experience a vintage dress up photo opportunity. Or -- if your preference is to post your photos on any social media with a hashtag, try the Wave Hello, seasonal signage (right now there are several fall and pumpkin displays), a surfboard wave near The Plunge, and classic cut outs of different circus heroes (insert your face to the body).Good place for family fun. Free parking in the lot, and if you dont fancy the food offered in the park, there are several casual dining places cross the street and along the boulevard.

Updating during covid-19 visit July 5, 2020. The rides are all closed down. Apparently they had been operating when they were not supposed to. When they will reopen is to be determined at a later date. The restaurants, arcade, restrooms, showers, businesses and boardwalk are all open. The beach is open. The gym/pool is closed. The parking lots are open and the best time to go is in the morning. 10 am-2 pm. Once 2/2:30 hits you will be circling the lot to find parking or having to go across the street. Its about 60/40 following CA guidelines for wearing a mask or face covering. Social distancing becomes near impossible after those peek hours hit so its the best time to leave. Especially when lifeguards have to start moving people closer in the water because or the tide/current or jellyfish, etc. Many people have their own little pop-up tents on the beach for shade and increased social distancing. Which is a good idea. The restrooms were cleaner this time around in the beach area. The Belmont park restrooms were not as kept up this visit, sadly. The food is available for carry out or dine in. Some of the staff are in masks and some are wearing it dangling from one ear or under their chin within the park. The guy working at the dole whip truck was very friendly so make sure to stop in there for a refreshing treat and DO tip! Just dont expect to hit the gym at the plunge or ride the dipper (coaster) this year.
