This winery / eatery is truly a jewel in San Carlos and the Peninsula. You simply do not expect this level of a Napa experience without having to drive all the way up. The wine is great, the food is great, and their industrial design interior fits the surroundings well. The food is very honest. You taste and feel the ingredients, not the decoration or the sauces. The ingredients are top notch, whether they are greens or cheese or anchovies. Everything is fresh and is balanced well.Oh and those dessert selections... We will definitely return!
Great venue for a smaller wedding and any other types of events. Food isn’t bad but their drinks are real good stuff though. Love the inside of their wine tasting room.
New favorite! Weve been there before and always a treasure.
I wish I could tell everyone how bad this place is so it doesnt get crowded and hard to get into...buuuut I would feel bad. THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE EATERIES AROUND! The food is on point! I would say this place is right up there with my favorites in Redwood City. To whoever is preparing the food and especially baked goods...can we be best friends? Wow wow! Oh, and they have wine.
Excellent food wines and service.
Good place to eat! .... friendly people
Fabulous food. Eine and service!
Went to a comedy show here and it was fantastic. Good pizza and a fun setting for a good show. I definitely hope they keep putting on comedy shows, its a really fun thing to do in San Carlos and its different. You normally need to go somewhere farther for a show.
Delicious food, good variety of wines
Fantastic micro winery and wine making club. They have a great function space in front, a wine bar, and a continuous series of events to attract the public. They also have a great wine making club, which I highly recommend. Check them out!
The new Osteria/tasting room is a great place to taste, have snacks or a full meal. Great pizzas. They have a huge event room for rent with a full kitchen. Good wines, too
Fantastic place, great way to spend a Saturday afternoon when you want the experience of a winery without the drive. Minus one star because noise really travels in this open space.
Great spot for wine tasting and food. Really nice ambiance with outdoor seating.
WOW. Hand crafted wine, killer pizza (on AMAZING crust), and dont leave without a cannoli ( to eat, split, or take home with coffee the next AM)
Beautiful place to come and sit and have a nice bottle of wine. Staff is all friendly and wine is not overly priced
After having gone for a several work events, I decided to stop by for their tasting room and osteria. It was such a great space and a pleasant experience. The staff are extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. We went with the wine tasting (5 wines) and got the cheese board and a side order of olives. So good!
The wine is ok so we became members. I recommend this place and suggest getting a couple pizzas too. I do need to adjust my review because we have been members for 1.5 months now and go every weekend and get a bottle and 2 pizzas. Yesterday we went and had the worst customer service ever. First when we got there we walked in the door by the end of the bar and Ashley took issue with it and began making snarky comments to her coworker about it. At that point we already wanted to leave but we didnt. Then the gentleman working behind the tasting bar who wears braces was just very rude and not at tentative with us. We stood there tasting wine which took literally 10 minutes between each tasting because he was too busy flipping through papers. We got tired of waiting and left on our 2nd tasting. We are not going to be members anymore and will move on to the next winery in the neighborhood.
Great food, okay service, wish they had more keto/paleo-friendly options and a sparkling rose.
Friendly staff. Good place for small events.
Nice and spacious. Food is ok . Nice for q company party and friends gathering
Great win reasonably priced.great atmosphere and food.
To start with, its like an oasis in the desert. No place nearby comes close. And compared to Laurel Ave - theres parking! The ambience and fittings are top notch (you HAVE to see the bathroom faucets!). The presentation of the food is Top Notch. The portions are healthy. The spinach salad with panceta, beets, and peaches was to die for! The cheese/salami combo platter was top notch. The white pie Prociutto pizza was very good. Prices are reasonable. And did I mention theres an entire Winery here - full scale production, large event space, class/meeting rooms, wine making classes, oh, and did I mention they sell the wine? Plus, they cater, do take out, etc. for nearby companies that need sustenance. Of course, youre not supposed to drink during the work day, right? So hang out outside after work...
Just attended a wedding reception at their newly remodeled facility. Great venue! Cant wait for the tasting room to be completed. It looks awesome. The food that was served for our dinner was based on a New Orleans theme. Everything was delicious and the servers were very attractive. My only negative comment would be the air conditioning. With over 120 people, candles, dancing, and buffet, there were a lot of people fanning themselves. It warmed up as the evening went on. Other than that, its a great space for an event.
Very nice spot for wine tasting & charcuterie
Great food! Amazing wine
Very nice, clean, and new.
Went here for a wedding. Everything was top notch and well planned out. The lady that was running the show didnt sit down for a second. Crazy into her job. Give her a raise. Good wine too.
Great food and wine and nice atmosphere
Great place... Yeah... The wine is pretty good too! Cant wait till the Pizzia oven is open!! Thanks Steve! For the FYI
Great atmosphere and food.
Nice restaurant, good food.
Good food, good wine!
Great people, great wines, amazing experience! Thanks to Mike and Dominick for a great afternoon!
Love it! Amazing wine!
Bad pick up, bad choice
Weve been members 4 years really enjoy their wines and their people.
Bad wine, nice beer, average food. Waiters were kind and educated. If I had to recommend this place I would say NO
Was recently there for a big birthday party and its a great venue. Wines were good also.
I really enjoy the wine! Flexible wine club memberships. Domenicos treats their club members well with events and prices. Some of the employees demonstrate a phenomenal memory for remembering names. Pay them a visit. The winery has none of the Napatude youll find further north.
I attended a work party here. The space was really cool and open, with barrels of wine lining the walls all around. Wine bottling was a fun diversion as well and everyone was happy to take home a bottle of their own. The wines I tried were also pretty solid. The location is kind of atypical for a winery, but dont let that turn you off.
I met the team at the Watsonville Berries and Bottles event. They are great interesting place to go and near Red Devil Canyon Winery. I look forward to actually stopping by their store but the wines they had available were really good and nice. A simple texture of velvet and cashmere.
Such a beautiful venue for any special event.
3.5 stars. We came to Domenico Wines during Vintners Festival and found them to be a great host to other wineries. We saved Domenico Wines for last and it was a great end to a great day. The wine maker came to talk to us personally and when we expressed interest in other wines that they had (that were not on the tasting list), they offered us generous pours. They also provided great appetizers for the event.Bf and I walked away with 2 Italian wines in hand and purchased a case of an advance release. I cant wait for the wines to be ready and indulge!
Nothing outdoors but the indoor ambiance is great.
Beautiful place! Wine is delicious!
Great wine and beautiful place!
Great environment, great food, lots of room to move around and great wine.
Great staff. Excellent food. The bathrooms are too small for the size.
Nice place, nice people.
A great winery with some great wines, but without a great winery view
Ok
I rate Domenico’s Wines in San Carlos 4 of 5 stars. Industrial Road in San Carlos is the home of your favorite auto body shops, kitchen show rooms, flooring installers, several business, a few small box stores and would-you-believe-it a good winery! Having driven past it lots of time (yeah, they need better signage), I finally noticed them and decided time to stop-in for a taste. Met by Mike (tasting room manager) at the door he was welcoming and friendly. With the able assistance from Jeff we worked thru the day’s tasting list. I was truly surprised to learn that the entire winery is located at this site including aging and processing. It all happens behind the black curtain! Domenico’s features Italian style blends which differs from most of the faire found in Napa (OK, there are Italian style wineries in Napa). While I enjoyed all that I tasted, my final “take-out” were three bottles: The Dolcetto, The Nebbiolo and my favorite of the three The Primitivo. If you find yourself near San Carlos looking for a nice winery, try Domenico’s Wines.
Great venue, always fun!
Great faculty.
