What a fun little time. We took the tour so that we could explore the whole river walk. Passing by the lock fence was really cool to see. We took a 11 year old and 2 year old and they both really enjoyed the trip too. Our captain was very friendly, informative, and funny. We will be making another round on our next trip to San Antonio. Only down fall was goggle maps didnt match up with where the ticket booth/ loading dock was.

So in all of my visits to San Antonio I had not taken the Riverwalk cruise. So feeling all touristy, I went for it. There are multiple stores where you can purchase your cruise tickets. They are affordable and they do offer military pricing.Masks were required of all riders and you are able to space out for social distancing. The tour guide was jovial and made the cruise informative as well as fun.As you are on the tour, youll see different points of interest you can get to by foot. There is no hop on and off stops, youre returned to where you boarded. There are other vessels that stagger their start time and youll see them passing but not creating traffic jams when transiting.Glad I finally marked this off of my to do list as it was enjoyable.

Absolutely loved the GO RIO cruises! It is a great way to see more spots on the River walk that you might not be familiar with otherwise, I do wish the boat ride lasted a little longer. Its only about 35 minutes but either way, we definitely enjoyed it. Our tour guide was Evelyn, she was great, very bubbly attitude! Definitely recommend doing this if youve never gone to San Antonio to see more places than you would by foot. You can also get great pictures from this boat ride!

Took the opportunity to book a private tour in order to propose to my girlfriend. Olivia was fantastic in assisting me with coordinating the perfect place for proposal (Selena’s Bridge) and dropoff place where we would celebrate over a nice dinner. Our tour guide Nick was absolutely fantastic. He made the entire experience better than expected and I would pay a premium just to have his knowledge and personality again as our guide. The entire experience could not have been better. A night we will remember for a lifetime!!!

I was so excited to see the Christmas lights!!! I get there and some of the lights in areas of the Riverwalk wasnt even lit or working. It really didnt bother me, because I was just excited to celebrate my bday. The reason why I am giving them a 1 star is because the boat company were more interested in making money than protecting its customers. . The line you stood to wait to board the boat was around 30 minutes. Around one hundred people are waiting atany given time. There wasnt any social distancing, no authority to enforce social distancing, and no mandatory mask enforcement. When boarding the boat, they were packing the boat to where you were only a foot away from each person. Instead of making it to where each couple or group is at least six feet a part. They packed you in like sardines. No care for the safety of the customers.and thats why now, there is a covid crisis happening down there as I type this.

If youre ever in San Antonio, this is a MUST. Mainly because theres not much else to do in this town. I would suggest doing the tour during the day. Its hard to see the trees and stuff at night/sunset, which is when I took the tour. Parking is a pain. I booked/paid for parking through the ParkWhiz app and paid for the entire day for $9. You can buy the tour tickets at the booth or online. The tour itself was light-hearted. They talked about the stories of the hotels/buildings along the Riverwalk and how it came to be. Tour tickets are only $13.

The little bit of history was a nice thing. If you dont have time to research the area, do this. You can easily walk the same stretch. You can also get a shuttle pass but that is especially the best deal for people with small children, elderly, handicapped and people who love to photograph bridges. This is a short walk, about a half mile.

Loved the New Barges. The boat captains are always funny and have lots to say about the history of San Antonio. I loved seeing all the different cultures in the boat and the energy has we traveled through every channel. Brought my cousins from Vegas and they loved it. only downside of was the price went up to $12 per person which is crazy in my opinion maybe keep it at 10 maximum but I think $12 is a little steep for a quick boat ride that last less than 30 minutes.

I strongly recommended doing the boat. The ride was about 40 minutes and it was fun. Really loved this boat ride and learning about the history of the river, surrounding structures, vegetations and etc. Our guide was great and the ride was very pleasant. The boat seemed fairly new and clean and they are not noisy. I believe the guide said all their boats are electric/battery powered. We had to stand in line to buy tickets and also to board the boat. So make sure to have a little time for that, specially if youre going it there on a peak day. We had a stroller, which we folded and left next to the captain for the duration of the ride. Great experience, a must do if youre new to San Antonio downtown area.

Review №49

While this has potential to be a charming experience, our tour was definitely soured. The tour guide was difficult to understand and delivered the narrative fast, robotically, and muffled. But the real clincher was a group on the boat throwing back small bottles of hard liquor during the entire trip while the man fondled and groped the two women he was with, as my kids were sitting right across from them. The boat driver droned on without skipping a beat the whole time this was going on. Needless to say, after spending almost $100 for our group ($13.50 for anyone over the age of 5/Seniors and military $10.50), I felt a little disgusted at our experience. I’d like to try it again and hope it was just one bad experience, but I don’t want to risk spending that much money for an equally disappointing time. As a side note, despite signs saying otherwise, no one enforced COVID precautions of masks and distancing.

From the reviews we thought this would be better. The scenery is very pretty and you definitely get a good feeling for the river walk area. Ultimately though, I feel like we were caught in a bait and switch. For our family it cost over 80$ to take this 30 minute tour. During that time we could understand about 10 words from our tour guide. Seriously. The only things we could understand were about the hotels in the area. HUH??? Why does that matter? Maybe we needed to hear the whole story. We dont know if it was the poor quality of the speaker, the muffled microphone, or the guide. It was just completely awful. So very disappointed.
