We absolutely love seeing the otters, seals, and bears!! My son goes crazy for the polar bear and the seals. All the exhibits are well laid out and organized. The animals look well cared for and healthy. I am a big fan and believe you all would be as well. Five stars for sure.

Sea Otter was beautiful. The seals and sea lions were awesome. One of the polar bears looked like it was trying to see the sea lions and the seals. It was cute. The grizzly bears were also out and about. That made it awesome. Although, I do kind of wish they were able to hibernate, but oh well. Oh and the polar bear was eating a carrot

Enjoyed Hogle Zoos BooLights 2020, except for the Shoreline Grills very limited menu of only fried foods, and even the fried foods were a little frightful, since the cooking oil within which the foods were fried, including the fries, smelled and tasted rancid. May return with our grandbabies to BooLights, but will have dinner before going into the Zoo.

Love how much viewing space there is for the seals, sea lions, and otters! Stroller, wheelchair, and wagon accessible. So much information about the animals and fun interactive ways for them to learn. Going back soon!

Always a hit with the kids! Both polar bears were out and swimming and we got chocolate ice cream cones and just enjoyed our time there!

Beautiful new exhibits with a nice San Francisco fishermans warf feel. I love it.

I took my brother and father here when they visited and this was the most exciting place at the zoo that day. We went in the cold winter which I believe helped. The bears were very active and the seals were swimming around like crazy. Wonderful exhibit.

Large variety of animals, I was pleasantly surprised. Highly recommend!

It is always a great place to visit. Reasonably priced and constantly have seasonal things going on. The have a train that goes through part of the zoo showcasing giraffes and zebras. This will cost $2 per person. Its a smaller park but usually the animals are in plain view.

The animals are just as curious about us as we are about them. Awesome experience and valuable information about our wildlife; well worth the visit. Great way to help teach kids how amazing our planet is and how we need to step up to keep wildlife thriving.

You can see everything in 2 hours. Sad that they dont do shows until summer season. It was overall a good day.

I personally dont like zoos but this zoo actually went through allot of changes to benefit the animals welfare and they help contribute to animals in the wild. They take good care of the animals they have. I highly suggest looking into zoos and make sure they are giving proper treatment to animals and are in it for the animals welfare not for the money.This zoo is clean and nice. Items bought there such food and Goodies do cost allot. But it is expected. All around its a good place to visit.

The zoo was pretty cool but it had a big rat problem saw 3 or 4 all throughout the zoo.

I love this spot at the zoo because its relaxing to watch the animals swim and there is space to watch outside or inside depending on weather. Its a well designed area and the seals and sea lions seem like there is at least one individual up and about being active, which is nice. The polar bears are also insanely cute to watch when they are up and about. Last time we were here we caught the sea lion training session by chance and it blew my mind! So amazing, so cute, they are such smart and talented animals. I recommend looking up times and making a point to see that.

My favorite part of the zoo!

Sea lions & seals. Trainers do a show while feeding them. Its fun. They are also checking multiple aspects of the animals health while doing the show.They have bench seating w an awning that you can enjoy the show or other areas you can stand & watch from different vantage points. From thestadium style benches, you dont see very much of the seals, only the sea lions. I would have liked to have seen both.

The Zoo is always fun! We went to the free day and the crowd wasnt as big as we thought. We had a great time going to each section of the zoo and enjoyed the animals that were there. They seem to keep improving exhibits every year which is a bonus!

I like the hogle zoo. Its not the best I have been to but they really have made considerable strides in making it better for the animals. And its a good place to wander around and take the kids. Little sad I didnt see the polar bear though.

North American River Otters are always just so much fun to watch how social they are and how much they like to play. The pinnipeds are amazing to watch as they effortlessly glide so smoothly under the water. Its hard to not fall in love with Mira and Nika, the two California Harbor Seals or with Diego and Maverick, the two sea lions. The polar bears are fun to watch especially when they go swimming. I can easily get lost in the Rocky Shores exhibits for hours at a time when I go to Utahs Hogle Zoo!

Feeding time is 11:30 (or at least they were feeding them at that time when I visited) and the seals and sea lions seem all too happy to do tricks for their food. They make me think of dogs with flippers - happy to interact and happy to get food. They put on a pretty good show and for no extra $$, which is nice. The kids loved it.

I had a wonderful time at the Zoo. I am Native to Salt Lake City, and moved away awhile back. The Zoo has definitely been updated, and still fun to visit as an adult.

Nora and Hope are amazing. My kids love seeing them waling around and playing in the water.

This is my favorite part of the Zoo. You get to see otters, seals, bears, and eagles. Theres a water park and jungle gym. The animals tend to be more active in this side as well so it can be more entertaining.

It is a rather big zoo. Animals of all types, minus the wonderful penguins. I dont know why, but they doubt have the tuxedo clad birds. The otters are fun to watch. Most big cats are sleeping, as are the apes, monkeys and bears. Go during feeding if you want to see some movement other than a scratch of an ear. Meerkats were cute doing their standing up on hind legs and looking around thing almost on command.

Love the lights at Christmas but didnt see any animals. You used to see those who looked the cold and also in the buildings, but now most are blocked off. Would have given more starts if we could have seen a few animals.

Water and playground fun for the kids. A great break from the heat.

The Hoogle zoo has changed a lot since I went there 2 years ago... It was fun then but its more fun now!

We were lucky enough to spot the training show at 3:00. It was great having such a terrific view of the seals and sea lions giving fives and dancing for their trainers. Adorable.

The bears are actually very active in the winter. The sea lion show is a lot of fun, and the crowds in winter are much smaller so you get front row seats!

I went here when I was a kid he was one of the nicest zoos there are and it seems they have kept up the good work I remember the golden monkeys I act like a monkey and one of those golden monkeys wanted to come and rip my face off
