Promoter Walter is a liar. Came up to a booth we were at for 2 hours and tried to tell us the table and all of the booths were Reserved as well as Promoter Aaron W. Aaron was rude and biasedly handled an escalated incident with no respect or appropriate action. The drinks were horribly mixed and the shots were tiny by only 1 bartender. The security and bouncers were the only good respectable title at this club.

Great place to party and have a good time with friends!! They offer VIP table table service! Have great DJ line ups and awesome bartenders and cocktails!! Highly recommended!!

Went on a latín night. Saturday night. Decent venue. Good music. Lots of beautiful woman. I mean good gawd!! The drinks were eh. Tequila shot was tiny and I’ve lived in Utah for years and I am aware of the liquor laws, habits, and culture. The night was packed. It was rowdy. I think we saw like four fights. The security responded appropriately. Police were outside. Interesting night for sure. Would I go back? Maybe. Most likely.

I’m visiting from out of town and ive heard great things about club Echo. However, one of the cocktail waitresses, I think it was her birthday yesterday. She decided to shout profanities and harass me and another friend just because she said she didn’t know us. I met the owners that night and they were awesome! I just hope their employees reflect a better image for this place because the ending of that night was just a bad experience.

Had a $10 cover even for females, I thought that was a little weird. I could have sworn I came before and it was free. Anyways, bartender was rude. They didn’t have any sugar or lemons. I kindly asked the DJ to play hiphop music and he said they do after 12. So we waited 45 minutes in hopes the music would get better. By 12:30 we just left because they were still playing Latin music. Most likely will not return.

I’m a long time be goer and I am very picky. Saw the music going on and decided to give it a try. I didn’t like that it was crazy packed, but after trying their drinks and seeing all the beautiful women, especially the staff I get it. It was really fast actually to get a drink. Loved the pictures of drinks on the menu, super straight forward easy to see. I was really surprised at all the fresh ingredients I will for sure be back this week to try the other half of the menu. Best drinks I’ve found in town so far!!

From walking in to walking out, club echo was one of the best hospitality having bar/club i ever been to. No cover charge, no dress code, greatly priced drinks, good music, diverse crowd. Its like where all the down to earth people go here in Salt Lake to kick it!!!! Will suggest this place to anyone!!!

Came in with a group of 7 people. It was my boyfriends birthday and we all flew to SLC from Chicago, LA, Georgia & NYC. We paid an entranced fee of $15 each because there was supposedly J Holiday coming in as a special guest. We came in at 10pm and there were probably 10 people at the club. We got a table thinking it would save us money. We paid $400 for 1 small bottle of Grey Goose that was locked up after every time the server (London) poured us drinks. I mean, we paid for it and we should be able to drink it freely, right? Anyways, we tried to see if we can get more out of the money we paid because we didnt feel like it was right. The server tried to compensate by getting us more drinks but she came out with straight up cranberry juice claiming it was mixed with alcohol. We complained again and she came out with another round of just plain cranberry juice. Rip off... anyways we did get 3 free wings but we wanted to get drunk not eat & be sober. Overall, total rip off. Music is was good tho but it was not worth it at all. On top of that, they said J Holiday was coming out at 11pm but we left at 12:30am and he still hasnt come out (if he ever did).

Pay $60 bucks for 4 of us to get in at 12:45 walk up to the bar to order drinks and they tell us you have to wait for a waitress to come to you to order. What a joke.

Had an absolute blast on their grand reopening last Thursday. They had champagne, amazing music/dj & good vibes throughout! The bartenders are quick & there was nothing lacking for service. The cocktail ladies are gorgeous with a kind attitude to match.Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays are the place to be here for your weekend!

Couldnt order at the bar and had to order through a waitress (only bar in vicinity with that rule), yet orders were consistently wrong and somehow went through 3 waitresses in our 30-45 minute stay, and we did not stay by choice but from the bill; I also definitely saw one of the waitresss hair dip into a cocktail she was holding then hand it off to a customer still, so that was an interesting choice. DJ had a very strange and dated array of music that abruptly cut out for minimum 10 minutes to every dancers displeasure. Fog suffocatingly filled almost every square foot of the business until they turned the fog machines off which indicated malfunctioning equipment. Floor was incredibly sticky in non-carpet areas. They were also the only bar we visited in the bar crawl that wouldnt even ALLOW IN the mugs that were given FOR the bar crawl.Definitely the worst visit of the night.

Echo is so much fun! One of the only places you can come and dance with a big diverse crowed and live DJ and get your drinks quick!

Very disappointed do not waste your money. Paid $30 dollars to get in and once I step outside we’re not allowed to get back inside? What did I even pay for then. The “manager” who worked at the front door is very rude and acts like we’re doing him a favor by going inside, when in fact we’re paying customers.

I went two nights back to back. Friday & Saturday. Really positive atmosphere. Even though this place was packed (LIKE PACKED), there wasnt one fight. Everyone was super cool, it was clean, and the drinks are affordable. Especially if youre a white boy that drinks beer like me!

Fun place. Good music and the prices on beer and alcohol are really good on a Thursday night. I havent been there during the day for a meal so Ill have to come back and try it.

One of the better clubs I have been to. Did not know that Utah had so many beautiful women!!! The staff is polite and are quick even though we had a lot of people in our booth. There is also an underground walkway that connects it to another side of the club that is pretty awesome. The music was pretty good all night. There is a dress code, make sure to through on a button up and some cologne if you wanna get in haha. Would recommend for a night out in Utah

After I went, I checked my bank statements and noticed I had an extra charge on my card. I was sober that night, so I know this isnt some drunk purchase. I only bought food there. My friend was over-charged for her drink and also had an extra charge on her card. My other friend never got her card back because the waitress who took it disappeared and no one else seemed to know where it was.

Absolutely terrible. Would not come here if it was the last bar open in SLC. They lured us in with J Holiday performing at 11, but we think that was a lie to get us in. They charged us nearly 400 for one bottle in VIP, locked the bottle down when the server wasn’t around, and asked us at the end of the poor experience if we “tipped our server”. Then, after finishing our bottle, we decided we would order rounds of drinks instead. The first round of seven drinks was pure cranberry juice - no vodka - and cost us 70 dollars. We were not happy about that, so we asked for an immediate drink next round. Next round was just as much as a disappointment. They brought us some food after complaining about the drinks, but a few wings as a bandaid doesn’t stop the blood from an absolutely, dreadful experience overall. We spent over 1k collectively and it feels like a total money grab. I wish I could give zero stars. This place shouldn’t be open based on how poorly they treat people, lie at the front door to get you in, and charge 10 dollars per drink for a what’s supposed to be a grey goose and cranberry, but 100% cranberry juice. Here’s a tip to the owner/owners: teach your bartenders and front doorman not to deceive people through fake drinks and lies to get them into this reconstructed, church-like debauchery you guys call a club. Instead, head to Sky across the street. The line was wrapped around the building and our friend said the service was exceptional. Only way I would pull/revise this review is for a total reimbursement from the 138 dollars I spent on two rounds of drinks that were straight cranberry PLUS the 105 we spent at the door to see a rapper that was supposed to come on at 11 - we left at 12:30 a.m. (money grab). Would love to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience. I truly don’t understand how this club is still in business the way they treat people.

It was my friends birthday and we went there with a group of 10 people and the security guard scanning IDs did not let my friends girlfriend in even though she is 26 years old and her ID registered in the scanner. The security guard claimed she wasnt the person in the picture just because the color of her hair was different. We tried to justify the rest of the information on the ID and all of the security guards started to treat us disrespectfully. We all left because of how ridiculously unreasonable the staff there was. We even asked to speak to the manager and they wouldnt even do that. I dont even need to go in to know that place is garbage. Get more intellectual individuals to run your security team instead of a bunch of meatheads.

Even after leaving 100 dollar tip on a 400 dollar tab they still harassed us for more money. They upped the cover charge because Jay holliday was supposed to be there yet he never showed up. No refund was offered to us. Place is over priced and they try to squeeze every dollar out of your wallet.

It was a long wait to receive service from the entry bouncers after I was already into the club.No communication with what the re-entry times or information till it was too late(5-10 min I waited at door before I decided to leave out of gate, witch Pre hand, they told me all I needed was ID)They wouldn’t let me back in about 3 min later after I left, and even called boss for mis-understandings for an event that I was supporting more than one performers.I spent most of my time waiting to be confronted with clarification, and tipped quite a bit of money at bar to attend, and they didn’t have the decency to treat me rightfully.One star for environment, but the fact I couldn’t completely enjoy my experience based on reference and $ results in 1 star.

They charged us for more drinks than we had, and then They put gratuity in the bill without showing that they did on the receipt. We called them out on it and they “fixed it.” Drinks also seemed watered down. Cool atmosphere but they won’t last long with those shady practices

Staff was friendly, drinks were good, and the music wasnt bad. Got bottle service for the birthday girl in our group and our waitress was on top of everything.

Place played some good music and has a really nice set up. We had a table on the front stage and was enjoyable, then our rope kept getting removed and we got hit by 3 champagn showers from people who thought they were extra poppin. I get it, but it was a bit excessive and got me and a couple other bothered and ready to take action. Then they brought a complementary bottle for the trouble so that helped calm nerves. Over all enjoyed ourselves and had most clean good fun.

Really great management, but the people working there... Be careful, they might lose your credit card and use it to pay for another persons VIP table or they might add about $300 to the tip. Yes it happened to me.

Terrible bar. I came here on my birthday. I got assaulted by a drunk, while trying to defend my friends, and the security only proceeded to hold me down and tell me I had to leave. How efficient. Grab the “ assaultee”, and let the assaulter get away. Very, very smart guys. A bunch of “literal” Einsteins. Enjoy being the new Moose Lounge.

I was not the intended clientele. Confused by the concept, too many bright lights, weird layout. Felt frantic.

They have some good food and reasonably priced beers, the shots are $7 which I thought was very pricey for and ounce of alcohol.

WILL NEVER RETURN. Friend spent over $250 on one bottle + as a table we spent at LEAST $100 in an hour, and it was our friends birthday. When we reserved the table, no one said anything about a price for the table. When we had only been there for a little while they told us we had to leave the table for not spending $450 on bottles only. Not only had we spent $250 on a $30 bottle but the sports bar which we were in was dead and should be thankful for what we were spending. Our waitress did a great job but the management and and owner (TJ) could not have treated us worse. What a joke of a club

Unfortunately My experience at Button Down was one of the worst experiences I have had at a club. It started good. My friends and I got bottle service. I have had bottle service a few times and what I love about it is that you get your own space to chill, dance, and feel safe. As a gay man in a straight club I want to feel safe dancing with my husband at will. The night started out normal within our space. Our space was to the south of the dance floor. We were drinking dancing a little and enjoying the vibe. As the night went on, the club got busier and more crowded. People started to come into the our space. We told the security guard that people are coming in. One time particular I had to insist that a couple leave our space. Even though we had asked the security guard for help. While doing so I was insulted for being gay. Another member of our party and I decided that the best way to protect our space was to dance along the ineffective rope to detour people from invading our space. During the night someone dropped their glass in our space and many others placed their empty glass bottles and cups on our area. The most horrific part of the night is when someone fell into our space onto our table creating a huge mess with glass everywhere. Instead of reimbursing us or moving our table, or something of that nature as we were leaving we were offered excuses and a free bottle when we came again. We were told they can not control what other people are doing. True but security could have been better. The security guard didnt seem to want to help us. One person in our party got glass in their hand and another in their shoe. To add to my poor experience at this venue, I was called a f@#%ot twice. To recap, we paid $700 for two bottles of vodka, to use homophobia to protect our space, injuries, spilt drinks, broken glass, homophobia and more. Our server and the VIP guy, the person who escorted us to our space was great for the most part. I understand that the staff cannot control people from expressing their homophobia, or even completely control someone from falling into our table. However more can be done to protect the space and two bottles of vodka we paid for and when things do go wrong try to make it right. They tried to make it right for another group on New Years Eve. A group of friends had a poor experience at button down two night later NYE and were reimbursed about a thousand dollars. The person who was working with management with our complaints only would offer us a free bottle in the future. A straight male from the NYE group was offered compensation for that night. A woman from our group was offered future experience with a free bottle. I cannot imagine myself coming back to this place.

Button Down is by far the most unprofessional bar in town. Im an artist that got booked to play for them. They made several promises that they couldnt deliver on, i had to set up my own sound and sound check. Play for an hour on $7000 equipment that we brought, just to be told they dont know who we are. After proving i was booked for it, they ghosted my manager. Theres tons more bad details to this situation that i dont have time to write out. Trashy place, bad vibes, weekly fights, totally distasteful and they only care about money. Take your business elsewhere.

Really wanted to check this new sports bar out for Sunday football but when I got there around 11 am, they were closed. I tried calling using the number available and it went straight to voicemail. If you say you’re a sports bar and also have hours posted that you open at 10 am on Sundays, then you should prob be open.

This place is The Place to be in SLC. Or group of 20+ were treated fantastically by everyone at the Button Down. Our annual military night out will be coming back here for the atmosphere but mostly for the staff; Jas took great care of us!

These security are the worst I’m a female and they racial profile me and bully at me for no reason they never let me in even though it was 11:39 p’m he let other in but not me for no reason I wasn’t being mean I just asked why he didn’t let me in he say not enough capacity but let other after me come in I mean for real I got a pic of the security who racial profile me I send and email to the club and I be going tomorrow to speak to the manager these is not right these is the worst place ever !

They kicked me out when I confronted staff about completely ignoring the side of the bar I was on and I was just trying to get water that was legit the worst club I’ve been to and I won’t go ever again terrible staff
