My buddy and I go to the movies often, and before the show, its perfect for grabbing a cold one and some food. We as well play darts at times, which is fantastic! Check it out.

Great hot buffalo wings, and free pool, at least during the day. I havent been here in the evening and I dont drink, so I cant comment on either of those factors. so many other items on the menu sound amazing, and Ill definitely have to come back to try a number of them. Friendly service. I just noticed theres also a ping pong table so I will definitely be back here.

Love this bar! And love these bands. The place had a great vibe, live music, and a dance floor. What more could you ask for?Pool tables? Yeah, they have those too, and theyre back in the game room away from the music, so you dont have to worry about anyone bumping into you.Darts? Yep, that too.And its all free! Just try to beat that.

I did not try the food. I came to play pool and drink. The service was good and the people there are friendly. Pool is free as well which is really nice.

No bar can be perfect with covid, but these guys have made an exceptional attempt and it is much appreciated

So we had a server whose name was Katelyn and I don’t know if we have ever had better service than her! Incredibly engaging and outgoing and loved to be around the guest! Not only that the staff was amazing as well as it is a clean and fun environment and amazing place to be! Thanks Katelyn for the amazing experience!

I used to love coming here for karaoke night. That is until their new karaoke DJ,B, started working there. I cant stand him. He makes the entire show about him. He intentionally keeps the stage microphone very low. It is so low not only can you not hear yourself sing when you are singing but you can barely hear anyone else sing when its their turn. I asked him to boost the microphone when I was on stage, he said he would but didnt. That is until its Bs turn to sing. Whenever he sings he always raises the microphone. Obviously this gives him the opportunity to sound better than everyone else. Karaoke shows are for the paying customers not for the DJ thats getting paid to run an awful show. Ive been a loyal customer here for years, but now I will never return.

Wait staff was attentive. Parking is ok. You do need to go downstairs to get in. And leaving go upstairs. Free game room with billiards. Prices are moderate.

This was a very fun local, hole in the wall type bar :) you could tell the people were having a great time, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were delicious. I tried a local beer shown in the photo and I would recommend trying it!! Will definitely be back next time Im in Salt Lake City!

Sues has always been a good place to go. The bartenders are always on their game. We went for karaoke and B was an excellent DJ. The crowd had great recommendations, and B had excellent energy even though there werent many people in the establishment. Free pool is always a plus, and the friendly staff is always welcoming.

Ive been going to the Sue for a few years now, and its a Salt Lake favorite for me and my friends. The staff there is on top of their stuff, the food is superb, especially with the selection of draft beer! The sticker slaps around the bar is also welcoming to a ski bum like myself, and free games really just tops things off.

Ive been here 3 times to watch ufc fights. $5 cover, mixed crowd. I can usually find a table or chair at the bar. TVs everywhere. Also room with more TVs separate bar, pool tables, ping pong and darts. Cool place to have a beer and watch sports.

Big place. Its all in a basement area. Divey, but the service was good. We didnt have drinks, just food. Cob salad was quite good and the onion rings were amazing. Has pool, darts, beer pong tables and lots of space to hang out and talk.

There are only two pool tables but theyre free, which is awesome! For those that are into it, there is a ping pong table too! The drinks are good, but they offer Pacifico instead of Corona and there isnt Bud light in a bottle. You may need to wave down and wait a while for a bartender, but that could also be because I went on a Tuesday night and they were pretty busy.

Still have karaoke Thursdays. I used to go 10 years ago, good college times. Even better now

This place will definitely be my go to from now on! The bartenders were super quick and professional. The live music was awesome. Theres even a ping pong table with the pool tables in the back which was nice.

Definitely had fun having drinks, eating food and playing pool here. Our waitress seemed annoyed with my friends here and there but maybe she was having a bad night. She was a good waitress otherwise. The other guy who served us drinks by the pool tables was awesome, was refilling our drinks and laughed at my joke so that was that cool! Great service, really goooood bar food and the drinks were good!

One of the best dive bars in the whole valley. Its hard to find bars with this incredible feel to them around here, but A Bar Named Sue is unique and Ive loved my interactions with most of their staff.

Great place to socialize and play some pool and ping pong. The bartenders are awesome! Ive heard the burgers are really good too although Ive never had them.

Highly recommend. Live music, shuffleboard, and most importantly PING PONG. Had a blast playing with some randos the one night I was there. I will be back. Bring your A-Game!

Great food good people, great for late night burger fries etc.. wonderful place to be. My only gripe is the pool tables are so close to the dart boards but it doesnt keep me from coming back.

Free pool but only two pool tables. Plus, they have pingpong and darts and free juke box but older songs... I met a guy who just turned 21 and he chose a bar named sue as his first bar ever... We all had fun! They also had a poker game going with some cool people playing! I think they have karaoke but Im not sure when... I recommend checking this bar out...

This is a fun place to go with a group or alone. It is a quirky little bar in a basement with games, tvs and cheap food and drinks (I believe it has karaoke night too). While the food and drink are average quality, this place doesnt try to hide that fact. Servers are great and I would recommend this place for a good night out.

It was a laid back dive bar. Its not a club environment, but most people were chill. I had some of their food and I wasnt disappointed. Good place to start a night with some friends.

A Bar Named Sue is our favorite bar in the valley! You absolutely cannot beat the prices, friendly staff, delicious pub food, and drinks! This place has it all- whether you want to play shuffleboard, pool, darts, bingo, trivia, beer pong, sing karaoke, watch live music, dance, or just chill with friends, this is a great place to go! I have never had anything on their menu that I didn’t like. I especially love their pickle sticks and jalapeño poppers! Don’t be discouraged by the outside or that it can be considered a “dive bar” because it is one of the best all-around bars in the valley.

Good bar, generally a good crowd. Cheap food and beer. The only problem is that the smoking area is the Walk way in front of the bar. Customers at other businesses have to walk past you

The staff is great and the karaoke is awesome! Had a great time and meet some new people. I always have a great time here cause the servers are fast and they come around often. Just make sure you have a ride when they close cause you dont want to stay later than that.

Tall gentleman w dark hair checking i.d.s was negative and rude. Would not suggest other locations.. simply stated its Monday in utah, theres nothing to do. I will possibly return for table tennis :)

Amazing basement bar on the east side of Salt Lake City. Great beer selection, fantastic prices and a cool vibe. Free pool and ping-pong plus a great staff makes this my go to bar. A single red door below a neon sign is the only sign for the place, so just follow the crowds. They have enough TVs that it makes watching sports pretty solid too. Plus any bar that has a Johnny Cash mural is top notch in my book.

Eric at the check in stand is such a charming man. He made my night. It was my birthday, and he really just made it a point to make me smile. Such a great dude.

This is one of my favorite bars! I love the atmosphere, service and food. Plus, they have pool and darts. Parking can get a little crazy sometimes so be prepared for that if you go on the weekend.

I really enjoyed this place. After a group of friends and I had gone to El chiuahia next door for some great food and drinks we headed over to the bar named Sue. We went straight downstairs and the bouncer down there was super nice. He gave us some pool and ping pong supplies with no fuss. There were some other patrons using the equipment but it was by no means crowded and we were even able to enjoy some darts. The music was awesome coming from the live DJ. I would over all say it was a chill fun place to go.

Free games are a big attraction here. Great live music sporadically. I wish theyd advertise more about there events. Food is decent for bar food. James is the one good bar tender (felt often like I was an inconvenience to most of the others just by ordering something).

Very clean, fun, and there is plenty to do and they have the BEST food. I have been coming here for years and have yet to have a negative experience.Casey makes the BEST drinks and has a great sense of humor. He has a way of making everyone feel comfortable. I would highly suggest stopping in for a bite to eat and a good drink. Look for the tall, burley, bearded man!

Cue the Cheers theme song. This is the best bar in SLC if youre looking for a low maintenance locals joint. The food is great and the bar tenders and servers are the greatest. And since its off the beaten downtown path, it doesnt feel fratty which is a real perk.

The Bar named sue is great! They had a variety of beer and liquor selections. But I have personally never experienced a more terrible game of beer pong. It was because of the person/persons running/commentating this event. They are obnactiocous, rude, and out of line. There are way too many rules and it takes the fun out of the game (beside the fact that he will make fun of you if you aren’t listening.)(there shouldn’t be that many rules in general) The man who runs this beer pong tournament is unpleasant and makes me want to never attend again. And over the past year of attending this bar, I have seen the beer pong game decrease in numbers progressively!!!!

A big draw to this bar is the fact that their games are free...pool, shuffle board, darts, etc. There is also live music pretty frequently that is often free. They offer the usual bar food. This is a good local spot.

I think they forgot about our food order. Took 45 minutes for a salad and the place was not busy. Chicken pieces were dried out and tasteless. Service was okay but the food was horrible. Sorry for the bad review but dont go there for the food.
