It’s great to see this place is still open considering the Covid pandemic. There was no one at the theater. I’ve been coming here for years and I’ve had nothing but good experiences. The location is great. Parking is ample. The movie selections are always on point. The seating are luxurious and concessions services are on point.
We got tickets through atom events to see Stevie Nicks in concert. There were two of us going buying our own ticket online. By doing that the system automatically blocked out two seats two are one purchased seat. We thought that we were doing it wrong. I discovered that for every one ticket sold two seats are blocked out. So by the time were done with probably had almost seven chairs to ourselves. Popcorn was excellent crunchy fresh buttery with just the right amount of salt. Stevie Nicks Rock the Night Away! The music was so good I wanted to stand up like I was at a concert and dance around just like Stevie Nicks spinning around on stage! Her backup singers were phenomenal herb and was phenomenal Stevie Nicks is phenomenal!! The event held at this theater was fabulous! And we will do it again depending on the pandemic.
It was nice to go to a movie during the pandemic and feel secure and safe from other people. Our seats were on the top row and only 2 others were in our row. Happy with the Century 16 commitment to safety and health.
I visited this burger king and experienced the ugly customers service, I dont usually order fast food but this time I was hungry, she didnt tell me to pull over or nothing, I forgot so I pulled over in the front the car behind me was waiting, I didnt know what to do, the customer inside was laughing at me, I was so angry. I drove around to ask for my money back, she called her manager and her manager said the burger just come out fresh. Believe it or not I took it never ever want me to go back again, worst customers services.
So disappointed! We were so excited to come see a movie after the covid shutdowns. We were also excited to support movie theaters after such a long shut down. When we got there we were excited to see that it was clean, we felt comfortable and the seats were amazing. Then the movie started, it was so loud you could only hear the trains on tracks and none of the dialog. The movie was Tenent and its a complicated plot. It keeps you going through the entire movie, but you do have to pay attention to whats going on. If you cant hear what they are saying then its very hard to follow the plot. After the first 5 minutes I went out and complained about it being too loud. I saw a guy come in, but nothing changed. My 16 year old son said his ears were ringing by the time we left. I will not be going back to this movie theater. I would not recommend.
Love the new cleaning processes theyve implemented. I hope they continue with them after Covid. Theres no popcorn refill on the large tub but I think its still the same price as before. Cant say for sure though.
I love this theater. It always feels so comfy and inviting. Ive only had issues at other theaters honestly. The temperature and sound in each theater is awesome and the staff are very kind and inviting. Great bathrooms and drink machines. Their water tastes right too!
Social distance was well maintained by Cinemark
Clean, comfy (reclining leather seats!) theater with large selection of current movies. The screen is slightly curved for best viewing at any angle and the sound isnt blasting. Ticket price was very reasonable as we went for 4:05 movie and was charged matinee price of $7.25, which you can purchase online (with about $3 extra online purchase fee) but as there was no line at midday midweek, it was a breeze. You have to pick a seat with a purchase, which takes the guesswork out of where to seat or whether it will be full or not. Did not go to consession stand but it looked fully stocked. Overall outstanding experience and will be going back again.
I love this place, it is kind of a hidden gem. There is plenty of parking and it is not far from the theater. There are plenty of food spots and drinks near by. The theaters are never crowded and always clean. The staff has always been friendly. I just wish the drinks and popcorn could be cheaper but that is with every movie theater.
Great seats very comfortable..clean..delicious popcorn
This theater is wonderful! We didnt have to wait in line long to get our tickets, and the same with the line for the popcorn and drinks. They have a great variety of candy for the kids, and their popcorn is always fresh and hot. We hadnt been there for 2 years, and we went there again last week, and nothing had changed. It was just as good as it was 2 yrs ago. Also, the individual theaters were nice and clean, and the picture quality is amazing.
We love the snacks, reclining seats and great movies. You can purchase your tickets ahead of time, on Fandango, and get your handicap seats or wherever you want! Then you dont have to worry about standing on line at the ticket booth. Theres a great snack bar and ice cream available, as well. The ushers are very friendly and helpful.
This is my favorite movie theater. Everyone has a recliner and there is a wall so you arent staring at the back of peoples heads. We have been sitting on the back row, which has been perfect. Yeah... The screen is smaller then the megaplex. But overall its very cozy, comfortable and perfect.
I like all Cinemark theaters in general, this one suffers from general dirtiness though. It doesn’t detract from the superior popcorn or the picture and sound quality. Overall a positive experience still, just need to clean around more.
I havent been to a movie theater is a while and my how things have changed! I feel like ticket prices were the same as in the past but movie theater seats are AMAZING now! Those luxury recliners are so freaking nice! I think they clean the theaters better now also. No sticky popcorn covered floors here! My one complaint is that concession prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Sad to see that that hasnt changed haha!
I LOVET IT CENTURY 16
Great place. Easy to park, clean theater, the seats were in good shape. The only problem was several bathroom stalls were completely out of toilet paper
It was very convenient and I went on $5 Tuesday, about 10 min before the movie started and still got a seat. I was a little disappointed that these seats didnt lay down further and were not heated. Maybe the last Cinemark I went to was extra fancy. They also didnt have their candy prices clearly marked which left a shock to my system at the register. But, thats to be expected at the movies. I had a great time, good movie and I love the $5 Tuesday deals!!
Tickets took a while to actually buy because the 5 buck Tuesday doesnt apply to them. You have to have bought one of their special plans, which I did not have.Their food service area was clean and adequately manned. The two young men who served us at the ice cream area were efficient and congenial!Again, the bathrooms were clean though they were somewhat dimly lit.
Very clean well-kept. The attendants were courteous and helpful. I absolutely love the oversized recliners what a great touch
I would give 5 but my chair was nasty and sticky
Been coming here since I was a kid, its close to my house, great location, fun arcade, I just wish the food and drinks were cheaper or worth the price they charge. I know thats where they make their money
Nice theatre at easily accessible location. The updated recliner theatre seats make the experience even more enjoyable without any added price. Just joined the Cinemark Movie Rewards monthly program and havent looked back. It removes online fees and includes one monthly movie ticket all for $9 a month, (unused tickets rollover). If you are an avid moviegoer, the monthly plan is a no-brainer.
It was dirty and I ended up cleaning the cup holder arm rest and floor by our reserved seats.
I love this theater! With how the seats are designed, you never see the back of someones head and you think you are on the front row. Joining the Movie Club was the best thing I ever did when going to the movies! And their XD sound is the best!
Great reclining seats, plenty of room between them and between rows. My only complaint is waaaay too many commercials and previews before the movie. It started 25 minutes after posted showtime. Thats ridiculous!
Comfy seats, tons of theaters and a great art film selection. All Fathom events play here. Whether you are going to a popcorn flick, an anime special event, or an art film this is a great theater choice.
Ive been going to this theater most of my life. Theyve recently updated it to more comfortable and modern seating and given it a bit of a facelift. The concessions area is, as you might have guessed, a bit overpriced. My main problem with that was the quality of the overpriced food. The hot dogs had obviously been sitting out for too long to the point that the buns were disgusting and somehow very very wet. The fellow who made my bagel bites also managed to burn half of them...somehow. Didnt appreciate having to walk all the way back from my seat, but they did get replace everything I had a problem with. They still sit folks in a wheel chair fairly close to the screens despite the renovations. My mother is confined to a wheel chair and has always had this complaint about this location.
Clean, friendly employees. There was a great selection of drinks. I was able to get a low calorie cherry limeade. I didnt even know minute maid had a low calorie cherry limade. It was really good! The seats at the theatre were nice recliners!
This may seem like a boring story but it left an impression on me. We went there on 3/18 for a 7:20 of Gaspar Noe’s “Climax.” I took my girlfriend, which was a mistake. There were a couple intense sequences that she found very triggering and we ended up having to leave. I wanted to get my money back because I couldn’t watch the whole movie (even though I consider this ALL my fault for not researching the content before going in.) I asked one employee where the manager was and he pointed me to him. Name was Alex. (He can tell you who the other people were involved, because I want all 4 to be recognized for their professionalism and efficiency and ability to read people.) Both my girlfriend and I were very distraught, her because of the film, and me because honestly I expected a fight about the refund. But Alex didn’t ask a single question, just pointed us straight to the box office and said “he’ll be happy to take care of you.” Guy at the box office pleasantly started the refund, again with no questions asked, and he appeared to run into a computer issue so he called another manager over, who happily and speedily completed the refund, explaining how it would be issued back on my debit and wished us a good night. Again, not a single question as to why we wanted a refund, asking for any justification, they seemed to just know that it was a bad night for us and that we wanted to leave as quick as possible, and all 4 of these people took care of it. 2 managers and 2 regular employees. Please make sure they’re recognized because they’re good people and I’m very grateful. Thank you. (And I’ll be back to see the rest of “Climax” for sure!)
Theaters were nice. Concessions were a little confusing, mainly because employees seemed distracted. But this rating is mostly because the bathrooms were really dirty and smelled bad. They could be smelled from the hall in passing with the door closed.
I enjoy the seating arrangement and the large screen size. It make the experience of watching the movie a great time and comfortable.
Reclining leather seats with leg rests make even the very front row an awesome place to watch movies.
My family always enjoys getting together at the movies, and Century 16 is a winner for all of us. It is centrally located so those traveling from the south end and the north end of the valley dont feel like we have to drive a long distance to meet up. There isnt a bad seat in the house thanks to the way they terrace upward, free popcorn refills on the biggies and those cool soda machines with touch screen. The price on a Sunday afternoon for adults isnt too bad at $7.78 for a matinee. We love Century 16!
The seats were comfy looking and the audio in the theater was crystal clear, but the entire floor and seating area was covered in popcorn crumbs and my particular seat had a sizeable popcorn butter stain across the leather. Overall, there is room for improvement for keeping everything at the theater clean even if it is an uphill battle with so many messy snacks being served. While Century 16 isnt the first place I would buy movie tickets for myself, I wouldnt turn down a chance to come here if I was invited.
Comfortable seats, but projection still cant compare with HDTV, which is available in most American homes nowadays. The chairs are nice, but the floors still sticky and gross.I budgeted 5 dollars for snacks, went over that for a single soda. But I went there with my fiancee. She enjoyed it and appreciated it. Even if I was disappointed with quality and expense, her smiles worth all stars.
I like the reclining chairs with the optional side arm between the chairs so one can snuggle with their sweetie while watching a movie.
Love the reclining chairs, its clean and the staff is friendly. Only suggestion is more food options to make it dinner and a show.
Comfy chairs. Pretty clean. Decent Staff. THX certified theater.
Lights were on throughout the whole movie.
It was great! Great service, clean movie theater, and good atmosphere
Comfy recliners, short, fast lines, friendly customer service, clean theaters & restrooms. Whats not to love?!
Really liking the luxury lounge chairs, dose make for small viewing groups, but with the trend of less people going out to the movies, it really is not that noticeable difference. I have yet not been denied seeing a show due to lack of seats. The staff is friendly and mans there stations well. I usually dont go during prime time showings so I font know how they are during a rush. This location is under going some renovations so there is some construction materials about, but nothing that would get in your way. Ashould be even better when it is all done.
I frequently come here on five dollar Tuesdays for Cheaper tickets of good movies. You can even come the first Tuesday after a movie comes out in XD or 3D and still pay only five dollars :) They have fairly nice recliner chairs as well. I wouldnt have anything against recommending this theater.
Ive been a few times and each time seems to get worse, dirtier seats and floor, not good costumer service and just all around kinda dirty. Not trying to be picky but its not a theater I will be going back to.
Love the reclining seats and all the space. Today was the first time I got a really bad tub of popcorn, lots of kernals (like the bottom of the bin popcorn) when I refilled the girl gave me the fresh popcorn. So at least I left happy. :)
Hey everyone I am going to give you my fully honest review of this theatre with no sugar coating. First when I last came to this theatre last month to see Star Wars 9 with my family and my friend, me and my mom were absolutely disgusted with the utter and complete lack of care. When we looked down at the floor to see what we were stepping on we unfortunately found out that we were stepping in spilled soda, popcorn, and we had napkins sticking to the bottom of our feet. The entire floor was covered in popcorn, and spilled soda, Im at a real loss for words to see that never did I see any of the employees notice at all let alone clean it up like their supposed to!!!! I honestly think that its because the upper management isnt on duty ever to supervise and take control of the employees who arent doing their job correctly. Im asking you the management of this theatre please take care of these issues I listed and then and only then will I be able to come back to this theatre. Thanks.
Went to see Aladdin and I was very impressed by this theatre. The seats were amazingly comfortable and the assigned seating was great. I hate having to fight through a crowd to find a seat. Prices were a little bit high, but they deliver on an experience that makes it worth splurging on.
If you go to a movie here dont sit in the very back because you cant see the bottom of the screen. Otherwise it was a great theater.
Great place to see a movie. Plenty parking. I do like the security in this place.
Above average theater that does a good job of making customers comfortable. The location is pretty convenient, if not accessible. There is s decent amount of parking, but it falls short during some releases and busy weekends. Snack Bar is not set up as normal. You serve yourself for most items and then pay. Seats are nice and so are theaters. Employees are competent enough. Egress is not too much to concern yourself about.
The luxury loungers are incredible. Big reclining couches with huge armrests that dont have to be shared. Come here on a Tuesday where all tickets are only $5! Make sure to reserve seats online earlier in the day tho because they tend to fill up.
Went for the 2019 Best Picture Nominee week and enjoyed it every night. Wish that they had someone to check your tickets so you dont have to stand in line if you already have tickets.
A bit small, but I loved the stadium seating and mechanical recliner chair. It wasnt traditionally cold as most theatrical establishments. The food selection was decent but was traditionally high priced. Pizza is coming so there is a small area closed in the lobby. Restrooms were nice and clean. The game room is small. Overall I had to give a 3. The best feature at this place I have to say was the movie seating and movie selection. Good was still good so There is that too. Enjoy
Great movie theater. I loved the reclining seats.
Its a great theater, comfy reclining seats with foot support, and an excellent snack bar.
Great theater! Every seat is a recliner! My wife wont go anywhere else now unless we can get luxury seats which are more expensive in every other theater!
We saw Star War in their new xo (forgot tgeir name) #9. It was awesome. Reclined seating, ernormous screen, great sound. Definitely will choose #9 for future viewing.
The chairs here are great! I love that they recline and are pre-reserved. I love their drink options, also! Coca-Cola pick your flavors machines and Icees! I love it there and drive by a closer Cinemark to get to this one.
Love the new seating...so comfortable. Amazing choice of snacks and drinks.
This was a great theater, but my last few experiences were trash. They always burn the popcorn, they dont have regular fountain drinks but instead have terrible freestyle nasty ones, and there was some rotting trash under my husbands recliner. Tighten up the crew, bring back regular Coke, it will be a winner again.
Great theater was a lil worried about all the tweakers hanging around the parking lot but slc sp is always in the parking lot so that eased my mind a lil
Its great
Awesome seats, sounds and picture. Clean. I liked the 3D look but my wife doesnt.
Great seats, I get the drink I want and they have the best pretzel bites.
If you know the story, if youve followed at all. Why wouldnt you go see this movie. The critics are just as bad as our worries, go forget about the troubles outside definitely worth the time. Bring balance to tbe force..
Century 16 is always a nice place to see a flick. They keep the theatres clean and theyve been outfitted with comfortable, motorized lounge chairs so one can just relax and watch the movie. Like everywhere the tickets are a bit pricey as is the food but if you exercise some self control, you can get in and out in under $12.
Went to see Avengers End Game. We usually go to the Sugar house theatre but no seats except right under the screen. Century 16 had a huge auditorium and screen. Nice reclining seats. Fast concessions. Big variety.
Great theater overall, except that the projection seems to be fit more to the preshow advertising than the movie itself. When the film started, it wasnt fit to the screen (black negative space on the top and bottom). I get that advertising keeps theaters open, but the way it hurts the experience may kill movie theaters in the long run.
Smells like cigarettes all outside the building and some of the seats are broken. Weird vibe all around and in the area.
Great theater with nice reclining chairs. Even the cheap ones are an upgrade from most other theaters
Place was nice. Didnt really care for the seats. They dont recline enough for me.
A theater that has the comfiest chairs, and volume that doesnt stab your ears. I love it here.
My go to movie theater because I have been coming here as a kid! And I love how they have upgraded everything over time!
Mr. Jensen the manager was so accommodating and welcoming that it truly added to the movie theater experience and this will now be my movie theater of choice HANDS DOWN
Lovely seats and great quality of service and video.
Their new leather recliner seats Are outstanding. Pricing comparable to any other theater. Concessions exorbitantly price but thats no surprise. I will definitely be back in the future.
Century 16 theaters has been a preferred entertainment venue for me for the past 20 years... I remember when this location was built and the old century 6 theaters were retired. In the heart of South Salt Lake on 3300 South its only a few minutes away. The prices have gone up as does everything, because of the quality of the picture and the seating has also improved. There are fewer patrons to compete for a good seat... And the 20 years Ive been going to this theater since it opened I think it has stayed among the top-rated ones in the valley.
Nice, helpful staff; comfortable, clean theater. My only complaint is the popcorn was overly salty. I dont usually complain, but it was off enough that I felt I needed to say something, even though it meant missing some of the movie. Gratefully, the staff replaced my popcorn, and the second batch was much better.
We bought tickets the night before and we had a wonderful time.
Great theatre to see a movie at. Not really a bad seat in the house.
Great movie theater. Sometimes hard to find a good parking place, but friendly employees. Not the nicest theaters in terms of size, but good enough.
Love them luxury recliners. No more getting kicked in the back of the head.
Ive been going here for years. My family loves it!
How did this place get 4 stars? Ridiculous concession prices..the place looked and smelled dirty ...ticket prices are lower than Megaplex but I would pay Megaplex rates to have a nice environment to be entertained..not going here again..
Helpful staff! Loved the recliners. Enjoyed The Other side of heaven 2. I love the great number of showtimes to choose from.
Century 16 has these big luxury reclining seats and assigned seating. The foot is super expensive but the tickets are still reasonable. The sound and quality are excellent. I look forward to seeing movies there!
The seats. Super comfy & nice. They have a ton of different options for snacks & are super friendly. My favorite thing is probably how clean the place is. Even their mini arcade room area isnt sticky (as we all know it is at most other places). Lovely.
The Century 16 theater on 33rd South and State is my favorite movie theater. Theyve updated recently with better seats (recliners) and a remodeled the concession stand with a good selection. They have great sound and lots of options for different ways to view the movie.
One of my favorite theaters to go to. Staff is always professional and friendly, I love the massive reclining seats, and the theater is always clean.
