The theater has a shelf in the back of every seat so you can order food and drinks at the bar, go grab them before the movie starts or when they buzz your buzzer, then set it all in front of you and enjoy the movie with cocktails, pizza, burgers, etc. The staff was friendly. I ordered a 14 pizza but they accidentally made a 10, when I mentioned it to them they said enjoy what you have there, well make you a second. When I went an picked up the second it was a full 14! Great service, great food, some delicious cocktails, and overall awesome movie experience.

I love Brewvies. The staff are amazing and super friendly, the drinks are priced to consume and the food is delicious. Oh, and the seats are super comfy.I just watched the New Mutants there and I definitely recommend this theater.Great social distancing with seating

I wasn’t too impressed with Brewvies. The movie theater was quaint and nice, but the food was actually kind of gross, especially the pizza. It was odd because everyone else had such good things to say about the pizza, but they literally forgot to put tomato sauce on ours was just ruined the entire pizza. Also having to put that massive pizza on the tiny ledge in the movie theater made me incredibly nervous.

Got there about two, it was not packed. The staff was very welcoming and observant. Prices were appropriate.

One of the few places left from OLD Salt Lake. Watch a movie with alcoholic drinks and food. Could REALLY use a good cleaning and some modern updates. Bar is cool and has a few pool tables. Prices/service are reasonable. Not sure how often I would come back but it was a cool experience.

Visited Fri evening I think. The staff was sociable and attentive. The bill was good for how much you get.

Great experience, fun environment. Every other row was blocked out so you were able to keep distance from one another. There were only three of us in the theater though.

I love the atmosphere of this theater and viewers are generally in higher spirits (pun intended) than anywhere else. The staff is always kind and helpful. Food is great, their food is always so tasty. Its a place to go see a movie and relax especially since you can set down your drinks/food in front of you and not try to balance things on your lap while also not bumping your seat neighbors.

The concept is unique for Utah and the Salt Lake location has improved over the years, yet the experience still falls well short of a proper bar/movie experience. Despite that, Im pleased that the movies are now no longer out of date and worthy of a dollar theater status.The seating is archaic with todays movie standards. The theater is never even half full on a weekend night, and could do with more comfort and personal space.Although there has been some recent improvement, the food is still sub par for the asking price; especially for the cuisine available nearby.The restrooms have always been bar-level, skeevy areas lacking in hygienic products and basic cleanliness. Renovations have been happening for several months, yet women still have to jockey for toilet paper and soap is often dispensed out of condiment bottles.If your comfortable with a general bar atmosphere, this is a cool place. If you want a quality, comfortable place to see a movie, youd perhaps be better off at a conventional theater.

Its the only place besides the one in Ogden that you can enjoy excellent food andamazing drinks while watching movies.

Had a great time watching IT Chapter 2. Came early for some pool. Has a full service and the menu is outstanding. Food might seem pricey, but its definitely piled on. I ordered pulled pork nachos and got a mound. Pizza is doughy (deep dish-like) if youre into that. Will come back again for some fun. Beer was nice and cold.

I am giving Brewvies 5 stars because I love them! It does seem, as of late, that their in theater food pick up thing has been lacking. They had a lot of people order food for the brunch today but they seemed to have a lot of people waiting more than an hour and when my friend got his breakfast burger it was very cold.I will always refer people to Brewvies but I hope that their food process improves soon.

The movie it self was excellent. But the looks we received and customer service was thumbs down..

In my opinion, this is one of the best places to watch a movie as an adult. Theres little thats more enjoyable that getting a pitcher of a nice, local craft beer to enjoy while watching a new movie. They have a great selection on draft as well as in cans and bottles. If youre one that likes to arrive early or want to hang out after the movie they are also just a solid pub that has pool tables.

Only people in the whole theatre for Stat Wars!! Nothing better than a private screening!

Very nice theater. This was my first visit, and it was better than I expected. The bar is good, the theater is good. I would like the seating to be modernized, but then maybe they have left it set up for a more nostalgic feel. All the same, a great evening with good friends and a movie

Spent 14 bucks on food that was tasty I guess but not 14 bucks tasty. Cool idea but this place desperately needs a remodel. And put some big trash cans right by the exit doors of the theater like every other theater has. Freakin weird wondering where to put your trash after the movie. Nice staff but funky set up.

May this place NEVER be shut down. Brewvies is the absolute best, and the only place to enjoy a good brew while watching a movie on the big screen. Free movie Mondays, awesome food, local beers on tap, pool tables, theres nothing you cant enjoy here. Ive become a huge fan of the Kung-Fu theater every second Wednesday of the month. Its beers and movies, what more could you want? Youll probably pay as much for the overpriced lame chips n cheese sauce nachos at a regular theater as you would for Brewvies insanely good plate of nachos that it takes at least two people to finish. Get some food and a pint and youve a perfect movie going experience. They also have pool tables and arcade games, but I havent used them in a while.Will add pics next time as I ate the nachos too quickly for a pic last time.

What a cute place! I was in town on a business trip and had a flight delay and didnt feel like staying in the hotel so I found this place to visit to kill a couple hours. I wish I had a place like this close to home! This food was yummy, the seating was cozy, the movie screen and audio were good. I had a nice time visiting.

It wasnt bad, a bit rustic. Staff friendly. The seats need an upgrade maybe a different setup. I liked it though and Id go again. Popcorn was a little old you can tell. Food ok.

Brewvies is amazing!!! I love how they have couches in the back of the theator to lounge in during the movie. Their food is booomb, especially their pizza! They have pretty good daily drink specials, also $5 movie night Tuesdays! Free pool is fun when its not too crowded. Really one of the best spots to chill in Salt Lake!! Its also right next to Legends which has amazing food. Also next to Red Lion Hotel if you want to drink and then not have far to go.

Love their Wednesday movie events with other local business and the friendly staff! Craft beers on tap and in full strength bottles/cans go great with the movies!!

Theater seats from the 90s: no cushion, low back, arm rests fixed, no legroom, no recline.Sound system with a terrible static/sizzle through the whole movie.Have to leave the theater to order food/drinks?? No service inside theater.Nice local beer list at least.Lucky theyre the only theater in the state where you could get a drink or theyd be out of business in no time.

They have a couple pool tables and other games. There seamed to be couples, girls and guy groups all hangout having fun. Drinks seamed a little pricey but good.

Good food, slightly on the expensive side, but the cocktails and beer are reasonably priced. Food service can be a little slow sometimes, but the staff are attentive and nice. I like the way the theater area is set up, it works pretty well for eating and drinking (and watching the movie).

The only reason for the 3-star rating is the website. Never has been a mention of when the doors open. Never. When calling, again, never a mention of when the gosh darn doors open. Some of us simply want to go and eat / drink.Please consider adding that to the website, or the phone message

Ive always loved Brewvies, but the food has improved over the last little while, if it was possible! Had a burger which was wonderful, just like it came off the backyard grill, and my beer was never empty, even on a busy Friday night. They even told me when the theatre was open so I wouldnt miss my movie. Great place!!

I like this place. It has a cool neighborhood hangout vibe. The same dude has been selling tickets and checking IDs for at least the last 5 years or so that Ive been coming here. I have a few friends that like to hang out and get a beer and watch an old flick when they do their film festivals and film roasts. Their food is good, but it is a movie theater so expect to pay more than its worth. Their beer is cold and good. The one thing I genuinely dont like is their bathrooms. They really need to do something about their bathrooms. They have one inadequately sized set of bathrooms that are kind of falling apart, and have been for several years. And now one of the hot water faucets isnt even attached to the sink anymore. This is a bar. People drink at a bar. And the bathrooms need to work.

I ended up getting drunk and playing pool after watching my movie and eating my food. Great times. Poor pool tables but great service.

Place is legit! They have pizza and all kinda good stuff to go along side a very established beer selection. I actually walked into the wrong theater and sat through the first half of the Princess Bride and loved it because the service was too good to get upset about. Come here for dates or get togethers. Its awesome! 5 stars easy.

It was next to the hotel I was staying at so Id figured Id give it a try. Very friendly staff. I was having surgery the next day so I couldnt have any beer, but they had a good selection. The theater is not like a multiplex, but I knew that. Smaller seats that were firm, but not uncomfortable. You can drink beer and eat food from the bar in the theater. Amazing amounts of leg room. I was reminded of the cinemas I went to in Germany, but brewvies screen was much larger and the sound system was great. They have drink specials and pool tables, next time Im in town, Ill have to stop but and get a few brews and the fish and chips

Prices standard. Pretty good wine selection. Free Pool during off times. The reason I love this place is where else can you have a nice alcoholic beverage and watch a movie with super good comfort food. that have healthy stuff too but yeah. No more need to sneak your flask(Are you alcoholic? kidding) in to the other movie theater. Staff friendly. The food is good. Get ready for a good time and to chill on out and enjoy your movie/film and meal as well your DRINK, dont forget your drink. oh one bad note the chairs in the back suck. So skips those.

This a chill place to hang out, get a drink, and see a movie. The food is pretty solid as well. The seats in the theater dont have much padding and arent very comfortable. I do like the shelves to set your food and drinks on.

Pizza, a movie, and a Guiness! Throw in a round of pool and that makes for an awesome Friday date night! And yes - pineapple does belong on a pizza, but they have other choices as well. And their fish and chips is amazing too! Arrive early to get the seat of your choice.

Comfortable seats and ample leg room with a place to put your food and drinks. Seating is first come first served. We went to late night showing, Ill have to come back to play some pool! My husband and I came here for a date night. Im giving three stars because the drinks and the movie was good. But the sofas were taped up and wobbly. The chairs were very uncomfortable and the armrest didnt go up at all. There was also little room between the seats and the little bar in front of the seats so our knees were hurting really bad. As I said earlier, the drinks were delicious but our food was a little cold. The bartender also made fun of me because I only wanted cheese on my nachos. The ceiling was also exposed which was very strange. At times during the movie, the screen would cut off a little bit of the actors heads. You can also hear everyone outside during your movie.

Went there with a girl I really like, we saw zombie land double tap and played pool. Shes great, the food was good, the alcohol was good, the pool tables were OK. I hope I get to ask her out again... Kinda broke.

A refreshing sanctuary of tasty craft beers. Great food too.. I spotted a burger that looked incredibly delicious (Ill get that next time) and the pizza I had was outstanding. Comfy seats, great picture quality and great audio in the theater. Pool tables. Definitely looking forward to going back.

Its been a few months since Ive been, but the theatre space was a lil meh, and the back couches arent super comfortable, but the food and beer is good. Great way to watch a movie. Though there was some weird old guy who was just kinda standing to watch the movie. It made my wife super uncomfortable. If they could have someone check on the theatre while the movie is going, and ask weird old guys to sit, thatd be fantastic.

Awesome environment and good beer. They have free movies on some Sundays with food available for purchase. DO NOT BUY BREAKFAST! Its cold and tastes like it came straight from the frozen isle.

Brewvies is a classic! The food is good they have a good selection of beer. The seats arent the luxury you get at the modern theaters but it I think the charm easily makes up for it.

This was a nice place. They have pool tables and a patio you can vape/smoke on. The theater seating has mini bar style counter in front of you for a basket of food and your drink. All in a nice outfit.

Disappointed in the service and staff. Spent $60 on 2 awful drinks and 2 pizzas, and ended up throwing both pizzas away. I didnt bother asking for a refund because the staff was already difficult while placing my orders. Missing toppings and burnt served with attitude. Wish you could tip after the meal..I literally threw up around 4 am that night because my stomach couldnt digest the burned crust.Both times Ive been here, the food has been terrible and the drinks are watery.The only reason to visit is to drink at a movie with friends, if any other venues provided beer in a movie theater- Id visit there instead. Save your money and drink at home.

I’ve been to Brewvies a few times now and I really enjoy seeing movies there. The drink selection is amazing and so is the food. The atmosphere is also nice with people who love to drink and watch movies. You really can’t go wrong: if you’re looking to watch a movie and enjoy yummy food and drinks, this is the place.

Its been awhile since Ive been here, but I was reminded how much I love this place. You can watch a movie, have great food, and grab a beer at the same time.Our food took longer than expected, but we were there for 2 hours so it was OK.

I love beer and movies but this location/experience was disappointing. Staff was nice and helpful but the bathrooms were smelly, dirty and had no soap. The movie was repeatedly interrupted by three different very loud rude drunk couples. The loud folks were asked multiple times to be quite. Folks even asked the staff for help with the situation with no change. I have been to many other theaters that serve alcohol and this was a first. I guess keep this in mind when mixing alcohol with movies.

Sitting here watching the 11:40 showing of avengers drinking a jack and coke with a black and blue burger. pretty cool way to see the film. Good prices too. Love that i only spent 20$ on food and it wasnt just a bag of popcorn and a soda. Great food!

Came for a Front Row Film Roast, got some drinks and pizza while we waited. The staff were excellent! Every person was really friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are kinda what youd expect at a downtown pub. The roast was great!

One of my favorite places in Utah to be entertained whilst enjoying an adult beverage... Food is awesome, The Avacodo Wrap was the best!!! It is no longer on the menu... However they hooked me up and I couldnt have been happier... Made my day!!!

Their mixed drink selection isnt awesome. They have a wide range of beers, though. Their food is delicious! I love that toy cab grab something to eat, have a drink, and watch a movie in a more relaxed setting. The people are always really friendly. Service can be a bit slow if theyre slammed, but so worth the wait.

This place was super amazing! We went there for my birthday and had a blast. The food was really good, the drinks were amazing, and the staff was really nice. My only complaint is that the theater seats were hard as rocks. Other than that though definitely recommend this place!.

The service is fantastic. Everyone from the person at the door you purchased your ticket from, your personal server/bartender, to the ones that arent even serving you. The staff helps you out and helps each other out to keep the customers happy. Best popcorn Ive ever had. Healthy helpings of popcorn and when you ask for more butter you totally get it. Great burgers, great onion rings, a nice place to put your food in the theater....the atmosphere is laid back. The staff are all about serving you. I want to go to brewvies before going to a mainstream theatre.

Rowdy and irreverent the clientele here like to have a good time. Dont expect Everyone to stay quiet during the movie as of their was ever a theater for audience appreciation this is it. Good selection of beers and tasty food. Always a good time.

Love eating, drinking, and watching movies at Brewvies. FREE AND EASY PARKING!! I participated in the Cancer Bites fundraising event last night. The movie was Poltergeist!! This was my first time seeing it on the big screen...it was awesome. This event happens every October...watch for it. They always play a classic scary movie from the 80s. Brewvies has been cool enough to give a venue for this fundraiser for 10 years running. They have great service, amazing food, and incredible brew. Nothing else like it in Utah!

Was a fun date night, great beer, good food and a good movie. The theater seats werent very comfortable but the beer made up for that! I love this place and will definitely return!

Salt Lake City staple, as well as one of the only places to have a drink while you watch a movie. A good mix of new releases and old favorites (usually free) which make seeing the classics even more fun, all while throwing back a beer and a breakfast burrito. Seats are old school and small, but hey - you just got a free movie and drank a beer that you didnt have to smuggle in as part of your arm, and ate a tasty burrito that someone else cooked for you.

Fun place to watch a movie, ticket prices are great and the available food and brews are pretty good. Its nice to be able to eat an actual meal in a theater, enjoy a beer and best of all.... No screaming kids!.....21 and over only....

This place is awesome if you havent been here you need to find a new movie you want to see then go see it here. They have really good beer and they can make some amazing mixed drinks as well. The cool thing about this place is when your watching the movie everyone is laughing and having a good time pretty much what you want from a movie theatre and on top of that there is no kids there ruining the movie for you!

I will tell you what, enjoying slice of pizza off of a ceramic plate with a nice cold pint of beer makes any movie better.

Good beer. interesting atmosphere. they are proud of their best cheap date awards which is cool. unfortunately, the employees get too distracted by things on the TV like some sort of wrestling that was on tonight, that the customer has to wait for them to care to take care of you as opposed to the TV. the four stars are only because the bartender was not focused on his job, he was mainly focused on the TV on the other side of the bar.

Love this place cant wait until they get high point taps. Beer, movies and pulled pork nachos, what else could you want.

Went to go see IT chapter 2 with my fiance and once again had an amazing experience loved the layout and how the employees and bar tender worked things out also enjoyed the movie as well thanks Brewvies for yet another awesome experience.

Food was pretty good but it took quite a while to get it. We dont drink so I am unable to rank that part. Its not the nicest theater but it is nice for eating/drinking while watching a movie. The chairs were surprisingly comfortable. The womens bathroom is super small so prepare for a line if theres a crowd. I am grateful that Brewvies is great to work with for charitable events like the one we were attending.

If you like to drink alcohol and eat a meal during a movie with a fairly interactive audience then this place is perfect. There are often different events and movie festivals held here which are a lot of fun to go to. If you prefer a crowd that is dead silent during films this place may not be great for you.

Loved the food an theatre will be back. Little expensive $15 for a smaller size pizza but support this place its fantastic an they probably only make $ off food n drinks like a regular theatre.
