Beautiful park with lots of activities to do! There is a baseball field, tennis field, 2 beautiful parks that are good for kids and adults, and a a lot of big open fields, as well as a huge slope that used to be used for bob sledding. Right in the middle there is a huge stadium. There is a big circle of a trail that surrounds the park with multiple little routes that follow the same trail.
Too many undesirables for my comfort. Probably safe enough during the day but it reminds me of what Ive heard about Central Park...dont go there after dark. Still a beautiful park steeped in history. Great walking/jogging trail. Three different playgrounds.
Super park! Great hill for ice blocking.. Just wish the vagrant issue would be properly addressed in this area.
Lots of open space. Great for kids with extra energy. Be sure to NEVER let them out of your sight. Be safe and aware of your surroundings.
Use to run here while in highschool its one of the best places to go its got off toad trails and hills amazing place to train for long distance running
Very nice park, trails, and the mansion museum is nice. They had sports fields as well for tennis and football. We did not go in to the house, because it was closed, but we walked the property in the evening and it was enjoyable. You can hear the frogs, and squirrels.
Lovely day to be in the park and enjoy the sun the 57⁰ and the oak trees...especially the older oak trees with burls!
I wasnt expecting this park to be as large as it was. Im told its approximately 88 acres, as large as a lot of farms Im used to in southern Minnesota.Theres a lot to take in here. Bushs Pasture boasts Willamette Universitys baseball field, heavily wooded forests, immaculately maintained garden plots and flowerbeds, all sorts of lovely tree cover, and plenty of areas to picnic, hike, and play. Very dog-friendly as well! This is only what Ive seen so far- Ill update this when Ive been around further, since theres more to explore!
I have a lot of memories at this park. I just love it. Its pretty clean and very peaceful here.
This park is nuts. When I say nuts I mean the squirrel population is booming. They are everywhere. My dog is super crazy here because theres so many squirrels to see. They take very good care of this park (yes the squirrels). I love running here as there is so much to see. My favorite part though has got to be the squirrels.
This is a great place to walk, jog, run, or to bring your dog. If you like squirrels there are plenty of those too.
Enjoyed the quiet peacfulness and the developing fall colors thruout the greenery. The variying scenery is great and makes wonderful backgrounds for your photos.
ZERO crackheads!!! My wife and I take our dog several times a week. Always clean and everyone is friendly.
Beautiful Park Nice Green Grass Nice amount of space to play football, Frisbee, Catch Ect.. Nice Spot to walk your Dog As well
Beautiful and tranquil in the center of town. Nice place to walk, run, or picnic.
So pretty and quite even with lots going on. My dog and i had a great time
Beautiful park right near downtown Salem. 90+ acres makes it a massive place so I find new, exciting aspects of it every time Im here. My favorite parts (so far) are the official soap box derby track and the cute little creek that runs along the road near the entrance. All in all a fantastic place to go for fun & recreation in Salem.
This park is massive and very beautiful in the fall. Cart races and squirrels chasing around.
Great outdoor space ... lots of shade and space to roam. Its August so yellowjackets are feisty.
Great park with wooded areas and open fields. A little playground at top of hill too. Good for biking or walks.
Nice large park but doesnt feel very safe. Found a pocket knife at the playground.
Very cute park with lots of squirrels. Great place to walk around after I got out of the hospital.
Beautiful local park and a lovely spot for a stroll.. Not to be missed when in Salem Oregon
I object to the wild meadow being mowed even if it made the horseshoe court easier to find
Nice place but Salem should give different parts of the park numbers or something. Its always hard to find your group.
Bush park is huge. Sprawling green grass & trees, there are picnic tables in a few spots- but not nearly enough if you want to have aBirthdayParty! So bring your blankets & pick a spot! A BiG plus to Bush Park is the historical Bush House (with the Biggest Rose garden ever!) Tours are available to see The Bush House.
A peaceful &beautiful place to relax and unwind from the stresses of life.
Nice quiet park with lots of trees and room to move around. Hard to believe its in the middle of town. Dog friendly.
So peaceful, and the history behind it...I love the roses.
Plenty of open space and playgrounds. Lots of people on the running paths, so I feel save running there.
Perfect place for peace️
Beautiful grounds. Lots of picnic tables. And a fantastic play area for the little ones.
Great amount and length of paths to avoid close contact with others and variety of scenary.
Great for exercise, great place to take dogs. There is a play area too, relaxing and great all around.
Great place for a run, jog, picnic, or just to visualize world dominance.... Or a new cupcake receipie
Very well kept park in central Salem. Can not reccomend enough. Go feed the squirrels, theyre a good time.
Huge park! Loads of walking and exploring. Home of largest and most social Grey and Ground Squirrel ever. The only place ive been able to feed squirrels by hand.
Beautiful park. Signs for walking art tour were a little misleading.
Well its a very very good place to do some fellowship workout all kinds of different things you can do here at this place why meet up with a couple of men are few men and it is a good day to be sober
A great asset of the City of Salem. Several events were happening the weekend we were there all at the same time and none conflicted with the others.
Nice park, holds lots of events and activities for everyone to enjoy next to suburban houses and salem, or hospital great place to get out and enjoy the day, the park is surrounded by a paved sidewalk great for walks and jogging plus theirs lots of pretty girls jogging to inspire the local per ves
I enjoy going to the park with my dog & people watching. Watching the squirrels play
Its a beautiful garden. Relaxing area.
We love this park for an in town adventure. Lots of space for running around, a few fun trees to climb, fun paved spaces for little ones to bike and scoot.
A truly delightful park, whether seeing nature, a place for the kids to play, or jogging/bicycling trails you wont be disappointed!
Bush Park it amazing you can walk 4 12 time and relax yourself walking around just watching the trees and lets just end it just beautiful
Very peaceful and so beautiful I enjoyed it very much so
Great big park with plenty to do.
So big, love the place. 3 parks in a big place so many places to walk and explore. A lot of events too
Its the most beautiful park in Salem. The founders of the state actually wanted this location to be the site of the state capitol.
Great, beautiful, welcoming place for a picnic in the park! Plenty of room to distance.
I love bush park its big, beautiful, and nice playground for my 3 year old granddaughter, there is lots to see and do i love the squirrels and birds great park.
Good place for familys to have picnics or to play, walking, jogging or just a place to hang out in the sun.
This is such a great park! We come here all the time! Its big, green, and lovely (like anything in Oregon). They have communal fruit trees and a rose garden. They also have great walking trails! I dont think I could ever get tired of this park
It was very nice. There was only about a bakers dozen worth of homeless people around. Besides that it was very peaceful
Awsome place lots to do
This is an awesome Place so much things To do their great for families but they do not have a disk golf course I walked the whole park and did not find one basket all in all though they have playgrounds hiking trails creeks its very beautiful for being in the middle of a city you really forget that youre in a actually city. Great place to go spend time with family go walk around exercise or just think
I like birds, and there are only two spaces for birding and they are separated by ball fields. Good overall family park, though.
This is such a lovely park to take a stroll through. There’s a creek on the east side of the park, play places on the west, rose gardens in the north and parking in the south. It’s a very popular park to feed squirrels or have picnics under any of the numerous all trees, or go jogging as there are designated jogging trails in the east side of the park.
Quiet shady squirrel filled park. Plenty of trails and walkways. Little nooks and benches too relax on.
We camped here for the August 21st eclipse for three days. The park is beautiful and so are all the people of Salem who welcomed us with not just hellos but with good and beer too!
Large park with baseball diamond a little stream and wide open spaces a rose garden along with a playground....The squirrels will come right up to you if youre patient with a bag of salt free NATURAL peanuts..;) just sharing an experience..not a recommendation...enjoy the park at your own risk :) respect the nature the animals and each other!
I grew up in Salem and have really enjoyed visiting Bush Park. Took the grandson for a walk and to play in the playgrounds. Nice trails with plenty of squirrels to feed.
Absolutely love this place. The oak trees are just amazing and the grounds are kept so clean! This is a great place to visit on a day off and Id love to see if Salem still makes use of the soapbox derby track.
Bush Park is beautiful and spacious with a variety of trails- paved and unpaved.
Bushes park is a wonderful place to go when you want to relax, read a good book, run or play on the playground with your kids. Very clean and the landscaping is GEORGIOS. A GREAT PLACE TO BE WHEN YOU WANT THE COUNTRY IN THE CITY.
A great place to meet, exercise, walk, take in the beauty of nature, people watch it just take the kids. Huge park with many parks inside
Bush Park is probably one of my favorite parks in Salem. It’s so beautiful in the spring with the rose and flower gardens. It’s one of my favorite places to take pictures and to just take a quiet stroll to think. It’s also really amazing for runners as there is trails that go everywhere around the park. I definitely recommend going there and checking it out. There are some beautiful examples of plants and shrubs here. I visit often always find something I havent seen before
Love the rose garden and all the shade trees! Great park!
Always nice to take a walk see the squirrels and not feel over crowded. Plenty of shade and benches to sit and enjoy the views.
Beautiful park. Great for a nice walk.
Beautiful flowers calm and peacefull
Quiet, relaxing and very fun great place to hang out
Loved this park. So pretty with flowers blooming. The little kid park was perfect for the grandkid and my bigger children too. Ther squirrels drove the dog crazy and thre statue of a cow scared my dog. She barked at it for the longest time until I showed her it wasnt real.
Its okay its big but not very clean and not very safe ether plus to many mosquitos around the park .
It use to be better kept. Seems like no one cares about the upkeep any more
No shortage of squirrels. As someone from the East Coast, I was not expecting burrowing squirrels, but I could not help but be fascinated. Seriously, tons of squirrels.
Best place to relax and enjoy the wild life. Huge park with two historical houses in the park and a entire play park, play ground with a cute tiny house for kids to play in. Then squrriel heaven is a good place to relax and be watch the squrriels forage
Best place to enjoy Gods beautiful creation.
Its a pretty large, nice park. Good place to go for a walk, jog or take the kids or dog to play. Heavily wooded area, very clean. Right next to the Willamette University football field. You can actually stand in the park less than 100ft from one of the end zones.
Been here many times before. Im a history buff
This is the biggest park in Salem. Great place for Bar B Ques or family reunions. The grass is always so green and freshly mowed. A very Beautiful Park.
A beautiful place to wander and enjoy the flowers!
Absolutely my favorite place to ride my bike to and lay in the grass! Beautiful!
Fun! Kids are free to be themselves and yell their lungs out if they feel like it. Lol best time is at sunset. It looks beautiful.
Bush Pasture Park is Beautiful!I LOVE walking up and down the soap box derby hill too!
Clean fun great break.
