Cant get enough of Historic New England homes. This one is a definite to visit and visit again. Loved our tour guide (Linda I think...sorry I forgot her name). Great stories about this family and the wonderful lives they had in the house.
Very well maintained home exemplifying how a historical family lived in Salem. Interesting tour. Would recommend.
There is an antique car show here every year; it keeps getting bigger and better as time goes on. Its a chance to meet up with long-time friends and just have a great time. The Phillips House has two Pierce Arrow autos and a Ford Model A in its garage. Other cars are parked all down Chestnut street. I try to never miss this meet!
We stumbled upon this place walking around the Sam Mcintire district and I can’t believe it’s not one of the more well-known tourist spots. Tom was a top-notch tour guide, super knowledgeable about the family and house as well as Salem in general. Would absolutely recommend!
Really interesting and also passionate tour guides! We got individual attention and could ask questions. Recommended!
The tour guide went above and beyond for us as we arrived early. He was very knowledgeable and passionate.
Went for a tour and was informed the tour was only cut to the main floor with no discount
Good place but its too far!
Highly recommend. SO MUCH HISTORY! Definitely worth it, about a 45 minute tour. You learn a ton about the Phillips family and their presence in the area.
It was okay. Nothing incredible. Its nice to see the interior but if youre short on time, its not worth it.Plenty of other activities worth your while.
Great historical home in Salem Ma
7 wow what a great house. I would definitely go back again. Very historic very original.
Very cool! Bob is a great tour guide. So glad I went.
Great guided tour by Mr Miller. Such a rich and interesting part of Salem. We loved it!
Very nice example of Federal period triple decker that evolved with its use, dont forget to schedule the behind to scenes tour if you love the utilitarian aspects of history as i do.
Great place to learn about one of Salems richest and most influential families and to learn about some of the more modern history of Salem (late 1700s-1960s) All of the tour guides are very knowledgeable and know pretty much everything there is to know about the Phillips family, their history and the house they lived in.
Great guide, interesting stories about the house.
A beautifully maintained Victorian home with interesting and informative interpretive tours.
Great historic place, off the main tourist trail. Recommend!
Awesome tour of a beautiful Salem home. Joan was an excellent guide!
This was a great tour. The guide was very informative of the family. Walking through, hearing the stories gave you a real sense of who this family was. The house was beautifully kept and decorated. During the summer months the garage is open and you get to see the old cars in there.
Beautiful location with phenomenal tour guides. This was my favorite tour in salem, I highly recommend anyone in salem to make this one of your stops
This was on the next street over on federal st.
Amazing historical house and guides were equal to the nostalgia. Worth it!
The Phillips House offers a well thought out tour of the house and the family that lived there; beautiful grounds and home.
Most informative and complete house tour ever. Worth the visit.
Fantastic house, great guide!
I shot an interview with the person in charge. Anywhere you looked would make a great backdrop. So cool looking.
This is another beautiful historic home renovated into a museum. They have nice events.
This is the most beautiful home, I have ever visited!!
Best place with excited staff. Wed go back for the full tour.
Excellent condition house and good guides. Tour was a little long.
