One of Royal Oaks many beautiful parks. I go to Meininger Park often. It offers something for everyone. A nice size play area for children. Tennis courts and a few picnic tables. Its a heavily wooded area, many trees and shade. It doesnt have a parking lot but parking is available on 2 surrounding streets. Just pay attention to the parking signs. Some on street parking is limited and has restrictions.

Gets a little flooded for a short time during rainy period but great place for kids to play or to walk you dog. There’s a pair of red tailed hawks that beat there which is also pretty cool to see.

Its a nice park with a decent area of big trees to walk through and some playground equipment on the corner. Good place to have a picnic or read a book. Only reason for 4 stars is their picnic tables are quite worn out and there could be more places to sit considering the parks size. So maybe bring your own chairs or a blanket but overall its nice. They have a tennis court too.

Nice wooded park. Lots of room to explore. Very close to the train tracks. Tennis courts. Large play areas. A few geocaches in the park, if thats your thing. It is mine lol. Quiet secluded neighborhood as well. I would imagine mosquitoes could be a problem here during certain times of the year. Multiple spots that might hold water but in the early spring, no issues at all.

Great park in Royal Oak for a picnic, hanging a hammock and reading, or taking kids to play. Lots of trees and shade in a surprisingly large park near the city center.

Love this park! So many trees and a really nice area. Only thing is it gets pretty wet and swampy after it rains - takes a while to dry out...

Cute park for kids. Tennis courts with shady areas and benches to relax. I have watched some cosplayers in the open area before, that was interesting.

Dogs are NO LONGER ALLOWED HEREThis park use to be a lot more fun for the qThe 10-16 year olds as it offered a great ice skating rink for and figure skating for FREE and more of those beautiful grand oak and maple trees. They also had the calisthenics work out portions as well. As this sad to say is only one of the parks in Royal Oak that no longer has Longfellow playground nearby. Its quite A hike to get to spider spark near Maxwell Ave.Yes great for tennis players and not so great for older kids. Babies and their Moms (dads) would like it. Until their children are a bit older.
