Nice example of antebellum history here in which the Civil War devastated. Gone with the wind is learned through the well guided tour. Warm greeting while you wait for the next tour on the hour. I would encourage the purchase of the package that includes the three home tours. The mansion has architectural and decorative points of interest. I liked the canvas painted floor in the main hall. The guide was very knowledgeable about the family and historical story, who also was able to answer questions. Bathroom available in carriage house.

So, so beautiful! I had my wedding in the garden this May and it couldnt have been more perfect!!!! The pictures turned out great, the barn was perfect and everyone at the venue was so helpful, especially Liat! If youre considering the idea of not having a wedding planner, stop and think again! You need someone besides family and friends.... and Liat helped me figure that out on the day of :/ She was amazing. Really came through in time of need and made the process leading to the day a breeze. I couldnt be more thankful.

AThis place was amazing! The grounds were beautiful, the docent that we spoke with was unbelievably knowledgeable and sweet.this was a nice retreat from our day in downtown Atlanta.the grounds had many different varieties of plants and flowers and tall trees. The house was well done and kept up with tons of historical stories that were absolutely fascinating. This is must when you come here.

Beautiful old home, but would have liked to hear more about the house itself on the guided tour. Instead, we heard more than we cared to about all the people ever connected to the place in any way. The guide knew her stuff and did a thorough job, but, for us, it was detailed information overload.

Great historical home from the founders of the City of Roswell. Built around 1840-50. It survived the civil war becuase Gen Sherman was friends with some of the families in Roswell, so he did not have it burn down. Very fortunate for them.

Historic home with many original furnishings; it was a step back in time. Sitting in the restored knot garden I could almost believe I was there. If only modern traffic noise could beer tuned out.
