Really nice ball fields here with plenty of open space for people to play other games. Took my 2 dogs with me & went down one of the trails behind the fenced baseball area. We followed the path down to the river & just sat there enjoying the privacy, quiet & the sounds of the Armuchee River. It was so nice to have the alone time with just my dogs & no other humans around. Theres alot to be said for the peace & quiet, especially when youre cooped up in the house with people around you all the time. The covered picnic area amounts to only 3 tables, but theres a smaller kids table between the other 2 tables. Its a nice touch for a family outing. The 2 baseball fields are well kept. But theres no covered area for teams to sit in & no available seating for game watchers.I would have given 5 stars if the entrance and parking lot was better cared for. There are a few big, deep potholes right at the entrance that could be problematic if you hit them. Plus theres no designated handicap parking or even marked parking places. Also theres no restrooms or water available. This should be a must for any baseball games being held there.Just a cautionary note: some of the trail has very steep areas & drop-offs that go straight down to the river. If you have children or dogs with you make sure they stay well back from the edge. After a rain it tends to be a little slippery & theres a risk of sliding off the rocks & into the river.

The baseball diamonds leave a little to be desired, but my kids loved the open spaces to run around and the nearby cows. The pine trees offer plenty of shade, so its a decent spot for a picnic. There were people swimming in the nearby creek, though I havent done that myself.

Armurchee Park is our family get away every weekend and off day. The greatest thing about it is adults enjoy it just as much as the kids. We absolutely love going.

Armuchee Park is a good place to take kids to swim/splash in the Armuchee Creek (accessed from a path behind the baseball fields). The rest of the park consists of defunct baseball fields and a picnic pavilion, not useful for much besides letting your dog run.

Sunday afternoon, I am the only person here. Short walk down to the creek, lots of room for kids to play, and picnic tables in the shade. Plenty of parking space. Peace and quiet! Great place!

I went to check out this park because I heard there was a great swimming area, & that is definitely true! However, went I went it was about to storm, so I was unable to actually swim. Ill be going back in a day or to to actually enjoy the place though!
