Visited during Autumn in the Arboretum. I have no dog to enter in the dog costume contest but was highly amused to see many owners of dogs bringing their dogs on site in costume to be posed on premises. I havent walked around the arboretum many times in the past, but after todays walk through some of the nature trails I think Im going to come back on a more regular basis. I really liked the QR codes posted on signs in the arboretum where I could look up more detailed information on the trees they described. It was a relatively warm day in Autumn, and a wonderful day to be outside.

This was a really lovely place to run. I thought the trails felt more wild than many arboretums and personally enjoyed that. The childrens garden has a splash pad and looks like dogs are allowed since I saw many people with them. Masks were about 50/50 but it was pretty easy to keep distance.

Absolutely amazing! Very relaxing, quiet, and informative.Trails are clean and so is the surrounding nature. Tons of different stuff to look at and admire or take photos of!Theres a entry fee per person before being able to view anything. Cash or cards accepted.First time visiting and I will definitely be back whenever everything is fully open to the public again.

Hidden gem in Rockford! For all who want some nature away from the city. Paved and natural trails with interpretative signs, children’s garden, shade, and sun. Picnic area, ample parking, and event space. If you have a botanical garden membership elsewhere check to see if you get reciprocity free admission. Even if not, entrance fees are very reasonable. The paved paths are handicap accessible.

Had a BLAST with my 6 year old, we had a picnic, played in the water feature until too many people arrived and then went on a nice walk. It was so nice to be outside and do something with no screen time for hours! Next time I will bring water shoes and a swim suit for her. It was fairly easy to social distance. We will definitely be back!

We attended a class about leaves. We learned vocabulary about the parts of a leaf and went on a short walk. After the class we were encouraged to walk around the gardens and enjoy them. The children had so much fun they want to return on a different day.

Very nice place. Some pretty planted areas, but more forested paths. Water features for kids to play in and a childrens garden play area. Its really cool that leashed dogs are allowed. The mosquitos were terrible the day that we visited. Very nominal pricing to get in.

A very beautiful place which is obviously filled with flowers and various species of trees AND its great for wheelchairs/strollers. There are also some pretty cool hiking trails. Be sure to bring sunscreen and some type of insect repellent because the mosquitoes are pretty bad in some places of the park and the gift shop (if you can call it that) doesnt sell sunscreen. Its gorgeous on so many levels. Its a great place to just go and think.

Great peaceful place to stroll around. On our visit, there were great deal of maintainance/Building going on. There are tons of insects and that kind of made the stroll not fun as the place offers it to be. The Visitor center is a great spot as well. Overall a fun place to spend few hours at, away from the city life. Plenty of parking, plenty of benches to sit on along the trails. Bring your own water bottles and fill up at the visitor center or you can buy as well from the gift store along with other things.

This is a hidden gem in Rockford to hold a wedding. Beautiful grounds and very helpful staff. One of the places that I recommend to couples to hold their wedding. I always end up with great photos from this venue.

Went to klehm for the opening of their new splash area and saw exhibits from hoo haven as well. The trsils and grounds are well maintained and worth revisiting

We had been here for an office party. The hall is good and convenient for gatherings . The grounds are really beautiful with walking trails around. Its a quiet place, take a stroll through their grounds and relax.

I had my wedding here at khlem. The set up was so beautiful. I loved it. The only problem was that my wedding party, especially my junior bridesmaids was terrorized by the staff, that it was another wedding after mine & that we needed to hurry! We were rushed & they should have came to me instead of the children. Then I didnt get my full deposit back because the manager said it was stains left & my crew cleaned every inch before we left. I asked for a cleaning receipt and no response was given. Other than that it was wonderful.

Went for weddings reception and this is a beautiful place. The outside looks like a garden. The building in sections. The reception hall was clean, bright and inviting. The service for the wedding was top notch, and the setup was the family asking requested. Room for a dance floor, and people to more around. Once we came into the building very clean and pleasing to the eyes. And all this from a man who pay some attention to things.

This is a hidden treasure in Rockford. Serene, beautiful well maintained family destination, to enjoy nature! New water feature in the Childrens Garden is a must-see. Should be finished soon! Great programs and events and a wonderful wedding venue.

A wonderful place to enjoy nature and get up close and personal to learn about trees from around the world, as well as to enjoy different types of man-made landscaping, Klehm offers a unique experience for all ages. Always have had friendly discussions with staff when were there.

I booked Klehm for my wedding ceremony and reception and had a great overall experience.
