Beautiful park full of walking trails, playgrounds & natural beauty. Went in the fall so the leaves were perfect
Great park to walk safely. I enjoy walking there
Nice 9 hole course. Challenging enough for me.
Very fun nine hole course. Great for family reunion golf scrambles.
Just a great 9 hole course...family friendly...and yet challenging for the low handicapper. If you havent played...its a must.
Great park. Lots of fun stuff to do. Well maintained. Safe area.
Any town would love to have a park with so many things to offer grade a plus.
Great place to play with your kids, have a get together and exercise
Its a small park that I think most people forget about, but thats what I enjoy most about it because its not usually very busy.
Great place to run, walk, sit on a bench, take your children to the playground and visit Nicholas Conservatory
Course in great shape and players moved good pace. Less than 1 1/2 hours
Excellent course and great staff. Nice place for the family to get in a round of golf.
Was a fun course. Im absolutely terrible at golf, but non the less it was a good evening.
Fun, challenging course at good pricing.
Beautiful place to just get away.
Its a great place to bring the family. Theres ice and snow sculpture contest and the Festival of Lights in the winter. Its a fun place to bring kids to sled. In the summer its just an all-around wonderful place for a free family trip. Down by the Gazebo they have a playground for older kids. Near the back of the park they have a playground for smaller kids whats some interesting Musical interactions and even a Bandshell
Walk by river smell plants in bloom,yeA...
Sinnissippi is a wonderful park in Rockford that offers golf, pickleball, concerts, Xmas lights and more. It is kind of a hidden gem in Rockford. If you havent been you should check it out. 4 stars because I feel the golf course and other areas could be groomed a bit better but does not take away from the area.
In my opinion, one of the best parks in Rockford. Being located where its at, its amazing how peaceful and out-of-the-way feeling it is. There are several Trails through the woods, playground equipment for the kids, plenty of benches and picnic tables, and as long and you are willing to keep your dog leashed and pick up after it this park is very animal friendly. I love it.
This is a fantastic free park that is located right on the Rock River. It has a parking lot right next to it. The multi purpose trail that runs along the river is really nice to take in the beautiful river view and get some exercise in for the day. Theres a huge rose garden that is well maintained with walking paths and all the different varieties of flowers are labeled for those of us non gardeners! I love the clock thats located in the middle of the park. Theres water fountains and bike parking too. We spent quite a bit of time just wandering around the pond area watching 2 beautiful swans and a crane. The awesome sounds of nature all around you is really soothing and relaxing. Theres plenty of seating throughout the park too. This would be a great place to picnic. I saw a city rental bike that was parked by someone enjoying the park. Not sure where the nearest city bike kiosk is though. I looked everywhere and didnt see it nearby. It would have been nice if they had a rental kiosk here though. We may have rented bikes for a quick ride up and down the river. This park is located next to the Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens that requires a fee to enter.
Love going to the free concerts during the summer. Always entertaining. Good sound. Give a lot of credit to the park district.
Nice park. Pleanty of room to roam!
Great 9 hole golf course. Cant beat it!
Great park day.park looked great.
Nice well maintained park with a golf course!
This golf course is BEAUTIFUL
I live not far from Sinnissippi park and its always a lovely sight to see that when its bright and sunny the place is never empty. When the flowers colors pop next to the man made pond it truly is a nice little spot to enjoy the scenery. Coming towards the colder days people still walk along the trail on the river and stop sometimes to view the Nicholas conservatory when its open. Great place to hang out if you want to just sit down and read a book, or if you just want to have a great time with friends that are just as observant as you are. And its free. Cant deny that.
Nice river front area
One of the finest parks in Rockford.
Theres a golf course, 2 playgrounds, shelters, pickleball courts. In the winter the golf course is open to cross country skiers and dog walkers. I gave 4 out of 5 stars because they almost closed the golf course for good.
One of the better places to be in Rockford. Especially the light display at Nicholas Conservatory right now. They have done a beautiful job this year 2019
Golf course has a long history and a pleasure to play.
Sinnissippi is awesome..you have to visit and enjoy the scenes that the park creates to make it enjoyable..Christmas is a magical time there but its something going on all year..from weddings to holidays, its an important part of Rockford..we are proud to have Sinnissippi
Great for young kids. Playground by the bandshell was perfect for my 1 and 3 year old. Lots of great paths and lawn to explore with them too
This park has a lot to offer. Golf course club house, pickle ball courts. A rolling hill contoured forest landscape great for a challenging walk. A band shell for local concerts. Electric outlets that provide the available resources to have light shows. Snow sculptures during the spring and playground equipment for the kids. Another fantastic place to play in the city.
The covered picnic shelter is perfect for large groups, and a bonus is that it has bathrooms attached! Theres very close parking, too. Permanent grills and a water source make it a great picnic/outdoor party location!
Its a little pit stop but its good for kids around 5
Wonderful, love walking there. Although there was some trash on the ground. Found a bag full of trash and debris that someone didnt throw away. Other thank that I love the peacefulness and nature.
Very nice park. Didnt explore a whole lot but seemed clean and well kept. Not a lot of bathroom options, at least not that are open for service yet? But otherwise happy with this park, nice play area for the kids.
Good condition on green.
A great place to play golf, watch a concert, go for a walk in the woods, go sledding, go for a picnic, tennis, baseball, playground. It needs a few more public bathrooms but other than that a great place
Very nice
Beautiful place
Well kept and beautiful
One of the best 9 hole courses in Rockford. What a beautiful setting.
Awesome congratulations to all the creative sculptors.
Excellent course - very well kept with challenging holes. Dan King
Nice 9 hole Muni course. Relatively short, but deceptively harder than it looks due to hilly terrain. Each hole is different which makes for an interesting round.
Great park, especially the smaller musical park geared towards toddlers and younger kids. Love the fake grass turf, so soft for babies to crawl on
Excellent Staff
Great place to take the kids to play, picnic or to enjoy nature. The summer concert series at the Band Shell is a must!
Mr. Big Stuff is awesome! We enjoyed every minute of the concert.
Very cool place awesome 9 hole golf course, very nice place 2 have a picnic. They have concerts in the shelter during the summer
Beautiful area for relaxing and playing. Fun outdoor park for the kids to play. Love the free family-friendly shows at the band shell. Not to mention the healing powers of nature surround you here.
Beautiful park. Its a nice place to bring the family
We played golf on the course there. It is a very open course, GREAT for beginners. Its pretty cheap, I think $7 for our Saturday afternoon tee time. I dont remember any water or sand traps. We got there early and had a beer in the club house, ~$4 beers. The staff was very kind and happy to be there.
One of the best 9 holers in the area
Always awesome
Great place Friendly people and the course is well maintained..
Music, Christmas Lights, Snow Sculptures. Pretty cool all around.
Beautiful well kept. Hats off to the grounds crew!
Enjoy the multiple places to have get togethers at this park!
This is a good course to bring your kids to learn the game. The actual course always in decent condition and is challenging enough, even though it is relatively short and there are no sand traps or water. Sometimes there are good deals on Golf Now for discounted rates.
A sprawling amount of park great for a picnic or a jog. Right next to 2nd street, so even deep in the park itself you will still hear the traffic. There are some amenity here but there is no clear way to see when they are or arent open.
I love everything they offer at sinnissippi park. They offer trails to walks, statues to admire, picknick tables to sit and enjoy the river. Even now a play place for kids to play. Water fountains, swans...you name it they have something for everyone at no cost
Beautiful
Beautiful park along the river. Excellent walking / bike path.
Little bugie little wet but great shape
Nice running/biking path. Very beautiful in the warmer months when the garden is blooming. All around nice park. Also a pokemon go hotspot.
Visited the parks shaded playground fun place to play
A great 9 holes. Hilly so be in shape.
Love the concerts at the bandshell!! Awsome way to enjoy thurs evenings!!
Great walking path along the Rock River.
Very special place
Great course
The music shell is excellent. I like to sit here and finish up some work and relax. Pavillion provides nice shelter.
Best grooming in the area
Save this park.
In good shape, nice 9 hole track
Nice 9 hole golf course
Crowded, Buggie, Pretty, but really needs a rest room at the other end. Where did it go?!
Great place! The overall architecture and design of the whole facility is splendid. Waterfalls, koi, turtles, and antique Japanese huts are just the beginning of what you will see. I visited on a hot summer day, and trust me its hot.The price to get in is questionable for its size. They charge $8 as this was posted. For its size I questioned paying this.
A grat place to have peace in life
Great Christmas display
Nice shelter for our large family reunion! There was everything we needed, and everyone had a fantastic 4th of July Family Reunion!
West side of north second st beautiful ! East side needs more lighting on roads in the park.scary when doing a night ride on your bike.I Will have to go during the day
Beautiful open park, lots of hills for sledding, longboarding, etc.
Beautiful Park
I love going to the concerts in the park. Just a great time every time
