This place has consistently offered bathrooms, food and water to the protestors. This is greatly appreciated. Ive never actually been there but its also the only business Ive known to offer this for us. That alone gives you five stars.

We absolutely love Geva! The shows always amaze us. We have been season ticket holders for 5 years and have never been disappointed. Always love the sets.Last nights performance of Once moved me beyond words. Twelve brilliant musicians in the ensemble playing instruments, singing, dancing, and acting. Wonderful! Treat yourself and go see it.

Geva is an excellent venue to enjoy a performance at. Its easy to get to, easy to park (edit based on Geva feedback :-) thanks to the adjacent parking lot ($5), and very cozy. They also have a bar, well stocked, coffee and tea, and tapas to snack on before the performance. They have great performances at an affordable price, great seats, a great theatre all around! And after the show, there are lots of restaurants nearby to walk or drive to. Definitely one of our favorite places!

Food is a bit overpriced but the staff is amazing. The girl that helped my family at the bar was just perfect and I loved her personality. It made the atmosphere great. The play itself was also wonderful and we had seats right up front for my sisters birthday. I also love that they donate to charity so much, and parking was easy in the lot across the street.

Intimate theater with very good talent doing anything from known plays to premiers and other small theater performances. The most recent show, Once, was in a word great! They have light food for before the show and a bar for libations. Been season ticket holder for years, cant say all shows are must see but always well worth the price of admission.

Going to a play at Geva is simply one of my favorite activities. Love the set design. Great acting. Nice mix of unique and traditional. Every seat is close to the stage. Value priced (unbelievably so for season tickets). I’m am proud of Rochester when I go to Geva!

A beautiful theater, very popular and well maintained. Not huge, but just right. Comfy seating, good view and acoustics, excellent stage. That being said, the kind of plays they generally put on are often not my cup of tea, but they do them well. However, their performance of A Christmas Carol was brilliant and moving.

I have gone to see the Christmas Carol for the last 10 Years. They have never failed to put on an incredible experience. Ive even been able to share it with my Foster Children. Every year Im so happy to share the experience with them. To see their faces light up during the show. We shall continue to visit, year after year.

5 stars for the entertainment. 4 for the food, which is good, even if a bit expensive. 2 for the changes to the floor plan and traffic flow because theres basically always something or someone between you and where you want to be. 1 for the combined line for the bar and restaurant, which is far, far, far, far slower than it used to be, as well as being in the way of pretty much everything. Its a good thing that its all about the entertainment!

The environment of the theater is excellent. No seat further than 50 away and all with excellent sight lines. Its always a fun night going out to see a show.

Easy to find, easy to park. Ticket price was not exhorbitive. I saw the final performance or QUEEN and it was wonderful. The set was quickly and cleverly revised with simple changes. I was only in town for 36 hours. Glad I had the good fortune to get a seat for this dull house. This was a very pleasant experience.

I enjoyed the production and the food and the dessert selection was great. My only issue was the customer service and customer care; it was horrible as they were extremely rude. The customer service was extremely unenthusiastic and I felt unwelcomed. An usher made it so I couldnt enjoy the show. Their presence was noticeable and intrusive and their activities were borderline unprofessional and vulgar. I do not appreciate having to deal with that while trying to enjoy the production. I felt violated and it will definitely make me consider going back there a labored decision.

I enjoyed the content of Queen. However, a rating system for the performances would be very much appreciated: I brought my eldest grandparent with me and I was ashamed to have exposed her to such profane language. Had I known the F-bomb would be thrown around as it was, I would not have brought her (she is sensitive to even slightly foul language). Please consider giving warnings or label performances as (non-) Family Friendly. Overall, I loved it, but I didnt appreciate the language; it was unnecessary to use the F word as an intensifier when proper emoting would do the trick.

This is a very nice theatre located in downtown Rochester, inside is pretty small and cozy. The acoustics and sound are pretty good for the size of this place, making the seating appropriate for the theatre size. There is street side parking with a big parking garage next door to the facility. The concessions are very nice with selections from draft beer and wine. The food menu is pretty extensive giving good options to choose from.

Review №45

The shows here are always top notch!!! The layout of the area outside of the theater, however, leaves something to be desired. They have a bar/food service area that is not large enough to accommodate their customers, so they have seating in the constantly crowded lobby. Speaking of which, they have a large video board on the wall, as you enter the lobby. That serves as a magnet drawing people to it and causing them to stand stationary in the entranceway where they impede the progress of the people trying to enter the facility.

Geva is an intimate theater. No seat is over about 59 ft from the stage. I would love to sit in the 1st row balcony, but there is not enough leg room. I have a seasonal membership and get tickets to 6-9 shows a year at what I consider to be reasonable prices (less than half of the price of shows at Kodak theater). I have needed to change my ticket date for several performances and was able to do this without any trouble. Staff is responsive and friendly. Some plays have been very good. There are typically a few plays per season that I find less interesting but production quality is still good. Therelso a bar and cafe with a decent size menu and fast service.
