Under normal circumstances RoCo is an eclectic place to stop in and visit. A minor donation gets you in the doors.COVID-19 has put a temporary damper on in person visits but it wont keep Bleu and the gallery down.Better yet, become a member. You can stop in and peruse current collections.Their 6x6 sale is their major fundraiser and features thousands of donated art available for sale at $20 apiece. They also have complementary frames available for sale, too.Located on East Ave downtown its a great place to unwind and explore.

RoCo was a great visit, I enjoyed their short videos that were on display in the back, Id definitely recommend sitting through them all. For $2 I feel like the size of the collection is justified. Parking is on the street as you may expect, and I dont know how they could improve!

Beautiful place featuring talented artists. I love the vibe and the bathroom. I ended my visit to Rochester with this gallery, which made a very moving and memorable experience. Great place to experience local art while visiting. Prepare to be panhandled by some intimidating people on the street and in the convenient parking garage nearby, but do check it out!

Nice little gallery. Seems like a cool place for an event. Not much going on during my visit but seemed like they have some good ideas and support local artists.

Wonderful art space promoting local artists. 6x6 show is the big fundraiser. Anyone can contribute their art. Enjoyed a recent First Friday opening for 3 exhibits. Parking by the church is ok.

Ever hear that story about how engineers cant figure out how bumblebees fly but no one told the bumblebee? No one has told Rochester Contemporary that it has too small a base in Rochester, and yet the museum now owns the building. The Frederick Douglass Monument has a date to be moved to a prominent location in Rochester, again. RoCo has served as a workshop for exploring the implications of that act and deepening the relationship of the city with Douglass. I have heard everyone who wants one can have a little Frederick bronze in their front yard soon. Thats totally cool.

This place is really cool! Ive never been to an art exhibit in Rochester, and though small, this place was neat. I didnt end up purchasing anything, but I want to come back periodically to check.

This gallery is set up nicely and its in the heart of the pleasant area of downtown. Its next to a very old church and in walking distance to bars and coffee shops. Their 6x6 show attracts artists from all over.

Ive always pass by this building and always wonder what was going on in there. Well I decided to go in and was quite impressed with the art on exhibition. A $2 fee is required if your not a member but its worth every penny if youre an admirer of art.
