Do I get to come back tomorrow? Best question your kid can ask at the end of their first day of summer camp. Both of my children have done camps at the summer program here and theyve loved it. Very friendly, kind, helpful staff that are 100% invested in what they do.

I love Writers & Books because they take access for disabled people very seriously. I did an access review with them over a year ago and when I returned last month I found that they made many changes to become more accessible, including asking signage to ensure wheelchair users can find the accessible paths. Im really impressed with them and encourage disabled writers to check them out!

A hidden gem for many in Rochester, this nonprofit is filled with wonderful people who promote local writers. Their classes are both educational and creative. And sometimes you come across something as cool as a week of Harry Potter discussions for adults. Truly a fabulous place to get your reading/writing fill.

Great classes for kids and adults. Small but comfortable performance space upstairs. Great staff, and the teachers of the classes Ive taken have been top-notch. I havent had a chance to get to the open mike nights or poetry groups, but look forward to them. Great resource for our city!

What a delightful, friendly, smart, fun gem! I attended the comedy open mic in the upstairs performance space. It was small but not cramped feeling with rows of seats that stepped up so everyone could see. Downstairs was so inviting though I wanted to skip away to browse the books and sit in one of the reading rooms. The staff greeted me warmly, and although I had never been in the place before, I immediately felt like a part of the community.

Went to this place for the NaNoWriMo opening night event. They provided free snacks, the whole first floor was dedicated to the event, and the proprietors were friendly. I definitely plan to go here again
