The view from up there is nice, you can see Albuquerque off in the distance. The Sandia mountains look beautiful! Small little park with a dog area, play ground & pic nic tables under a covered gazebo.

Its usually a quiet, clean park. I went yesterday and there were people eating, drinking booze and throwing trash on the ground, with bins within walking distance. Told the cops. Went back today and the trash, empty bottles and beer cans were still there. Its turning into a place to drink.

Great location.Would suggest that police would take lunch breaks there to prevent the creeps that go there to smoke and drink etc etc. Just an idea..

Cute with regular elderly visitors with small dogs, and occasional kids to practice sports. We did an outdoor interview here, great backgrounds and quiet outdoor space.

This park use to be just a dirt hill with some rusted play ground equipment so but we still played on it, thats all there was for us growing up 40 years ago . But now its a nice park to enjoy with my kids .

This park boasts Rio Rancho only Clock Tower, and an ugly one at that. It also displays DIFFERENT TIMES on each of its four faces. I mean, come on guys, really!? The playground equipment is boring, outdated, and very squeaky. No restrooms, bad grass, seedy people, ugly neighborhood, no amenities, dont bother.

This is a very small park. Has one basketball court and thankfully some nice new equipment playground equipment for smaller children which hopefully will not be destroyed by vandals (again) Parking lot is way too small and difficult to drive in and out of especially if there are other folks visiting.

Hi folks, This is the second review I have made, first one was erased? The City of Rio Rancho could not stop AT&T from building a Cellular Phone Tower in this park. For fear of being sued by AT&T (reason is that THE FCC gave permission to AT&T to build towers in Rio Rancho superseding our rights and protest against them). This was planned a year ago and only people who live 125 feet from this tower were informed as per FCC rules and local pictorials wrote about it. I live 1/2 a mile from Sugar Park and can see this tower :(. This tower will not be regulated by our city as to how much power and radiation (Frequencies modulation) will be used. The Danger is real folks, too our children playing in the park and those who live around more or less than 125 feet! Research FM, Microwave, radiation waves on the web and you will be shocked!City Planner: call him. deeman
