BBQ place Ringwood state park

Nice scenic view with plenty of benches and tables with BBQ grills. Unfortunately there was nowhere to throw trash away as well as hot coals. Maybe this was due to covid. Also annoying were constant loud gunshots from a range nearby. We also had issues with wasps around the picnic area. Bathrooms were clean and large. Parking was plentiful when we went.

Best experienced in spring and fall. This time the weather was so pleasant and the sight was breathtaking!

Liked it but, in the summer there should be more lifeguards and more time to swim.

Gorgeous views, restrooms close by (although closed due to covid-19), clean, lots of picnic tables and BBQ grills. Parking is close by

Beautiful park.

Sheperd lake is definitely a tradition. This place has a playground, swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, bike path, basketball court, grills and picnic area plus so much more. I absolutely have a blast everytime I go. But you must go early on holidays because the picnic areas fill up fast and so does the swimming area.

Not a single BBQ place around, very disappointed. And it is a summer weekend... Just a generic lake/park. Didn’t worth the ride here.

Big and clean park, fresh air, enough parking space.fishing or swimming and rental kayaking.

Great place, considering we came there when it was empty and dark, coocked bbq by the lake and got kicked out by patrol after 9pm

My favorite place to mtb, hike, or relax...

Its great for kids, great for families, for parties, anything! It has BBQ, a playground, plenty of tables and clean bathrooms! The only thing I didnt like about this place is that you can hear really loudly the people shooting and practicing. Kids, dogs and animals get scared easily. If you are looking for a place to do some meditation or even bird watching, this is not the place.

Quiet velan and the best a place where you and your family can escape from the city

Place is just awesome. Not very crowded, lots of barbecue area, boat rentals etc. Minus one star for not letting people swim on a steamy summer day

Theres not a swimming area anymore, I have a grill at home I dont have to go there it doesnt make sense to me to pay for place that you only go for a barbecue

Great place for families and friends to hang out. It can be crowded on the weekends during summer. Parking is $10.

I was very disappointed they have no guards to swing today,no kitchen open, but for sure they charger you 20dls.to use the park.when you can not even swimg.
