If you enjoy a great view or a simple place to walk/jog I would recommend Libby Hill. Its a nice spot to picnic or walk your pet. The view is more focused on the river and it makes Southside look beautiful (from the distance). Great, relaxing park
Getting in and out to do your job its easy it should be more locations like this take time to consider the big trucks thats coming in here
One of my favorite parks in the city. Has great views of the city and the river, all while looking over historic church hill buildings. Great place to set a blanket and watch the sunset.
Great view of the river in both directions. Lovely park. Nice place to sit and take in the beauty.
Great view of the James River. You see both up river to the city and down river headed East. Lovely park.
Nice unique neighborhoodpark with friendly people walking dogs sitting on grassTotally F ed up by the top city official by removing unique historical monument. What used to be a classic part of Richmond skyline now has an tall ugly stump and the neighborhood is the amputee. Sorry for the neighborhood.
A small yet cute and quaint park in downtown Richmond! Very nice for a quiet picnic or a leisurely walk or even a nice, energizing jog. If you just need to chill or want a quiet place to vibe with friends, this is the place! I even suggest this place for couples of all ages as a nice date idea!
Beautiful park in the city. Wonderful views, great place to go and relax, people watch.
I am living very close to this park, very nice spot with perfect city view.
Very nice park that overlooks the James River. There is a lot of history that has taken place here over the last several hundred years. There is a nice view of downtown as well. Old confederate mansions line the street overlooking the park. Plenty of parking as well on Libby St and the monument to the soldiers of the Civil War is right at the entrance to the park.
The place is close to my House and I can go there with my grandchildren they have a great time walking around.
Lovely little park with a great view. Good for relaxing, walking, and doing the stairs.
One of the best place to view city of Richmond and Lucky Strike smokestack. There are plenty of branches to sit or bring a blanket and sit on the grass. Also there are so many steps and area where you can exercise if you want to.
Such a gorgeous park!!! Cant under estimate the views
Relaxing park with a gorgeous view. You wont want to leave.
One of my favorite parks in Richmond. The views of the river and the city are amazing and the park is very well maintained. You see weddings often up here. There are plenty of benches and even a picnic table. And if you’re up for a workout, a great set of stairs!
Good for a short stoll and a look across part of the city, late night couples walk are good when there isnt a lot of ppl.
Such a beautiful area and wonderful sightseeing. Gorgeous overlook.
This park is great for a family picnic and people watching. We love to walk here from a local restaurant and eat lunch. The view of Richmond and the James River make it a special place to go.While eating, we have seen other people relaxing, picnicking, exercising, and beautiful quinceñera attendees getting their pictures taken. The walk to the park is equally beautiful with the historic homes and the wonderfully tended gardens.Libby Hill Park is definitely in our top 5 places in Richmond for my family.
This place was very relaxing! Beautiful view of Richmond and the James River
Its a small but beautiful park with two fountains, a garden, and a gazebo. You have a view of the river and of the city.
Its a really nice park but disappointed with the lack of upkeep. The cobble stone pathways are getting overgrown with weeds and grass.
Really beautiful park. Visited for the climb to conquer cancer that involves a 100km ride and two passes through the Libby Hill cobble stones. Enjoyed the views before and after the race.
The view is awesome! There is always friendly, ecouraging people working out there. Great motivating place to get some exercise!
Nice view of the city. And pretty fulfilling as long as it is not crowded.
Awesome spot to watch the sunset overlooking the city.
Good little park. Great place to see the sunset.
A great view of the James River and downtown... Love to walk my dog in the park and on the streets of historic Church Hill.
Wonderful views and atmosphere. Ive seem weddings here too! And I enjoy the yoga that meets in the evenings
Great views. Nice little park to walk around.
“not sure why its hyped, just couple of view and that too of mill area.”it is listed under top 5 places to see in Richmond, I thought it would be some kind of place where whole Richmond downtown can be seen like in movies, but no. its just your neighbourhood park situated in the hilly area and you can have one or two looks of downtown, more of mill area. yes, James River can be seen clearly from here. if you dont have time, you can avoid this, not that great.
Nice and open, doesnt get crazy busy and people usually respect the keep your dog on a leash rule here. Really pretty at sunrise and sunset.
A nice late night chill spot.
Hidden place. Lived in Richmond for over 7 years and never discovered it till recently. You can see the entire Richmond standing at libby Hill. Beautiful site
Great views of downtown RVA.
Beautiful park to hangout or picnic... However needs bit more care of the area.
Always a great place to go to see a sunset or just beautiful scenery. Its my happy place!
From lower street to fountain is about 190 “steps” with about 160 “stairs”. Good training area for initial step walkers. Clean and a beautiful view.
Great little park. Terrific view, excellent site to run and workout, and very quiet.
Did the steps for some exercise. Very challenging workouts.
A beautiful beautiful park! Clean and has a great view of the city and river.
Quiet and very scenic. Wished I had my Canon for the views.
What can you say? Photography hotspot!!! I love this location. The view is amazing. Lucky Strike, the watertower, the sunset!
RVA; THE JAMES BEAUTIFUL !
If you want to have a nice view, calm place & spend some nice time - right place. Serene & beautiful.
Must see in Richmond a skip a way from downtown, great food trucks and great restaurants. Outdoor haven on nice days. Great place to take a dog or get a jog.
Great place to watch the sunset.
Lovely scene. Well manicured!
Very scenic, was brought here by my 89 year old grandma who had grown up in the area many, many years prior.
Nice monument, fantastic view and great stairs to run if you want a grueling exercise.
Nice views. I stopped because I rode through this park on Zwift. Nice place to just stroll and enjoy the views of Richmond.
Its a lovely place to go and great view of the city
Attended the Hog on the hill. Not bad beer was cold pretty place.
My favorite place in Richmond Va! Libby Hill
Nice view, cool park on a hill.
Great views of Richmond. Still has the old gas lamps. It is a popular workout spot due to the long set of stairs.
Its a nice park with a cool overlook of a part of the city. Dont expect too much here, probably a better place to come walk or workout than a place to bring the whole family. It has some nice fountains and a nice windy trail, as well as a few benches for you to sit on. Its a nice place to take a date and just walk around or relax, even if its a little later at night. Not a perfect park but a nice one.
Lovely place to run with a beautiful view. Could use some improvements to uneven surfaces, and cobblestone is tricky to run on.
Great views! However a lot of dog owners have their dogs off leash. Thats great that they trust or have gone through proper off leash training... however there is a leash law in VA and to assume other dogs (if these off leash dogs walk up) wont attack is kind of irresponsible in my opinion.
Its an amazing place for places and to meet people and play with the dogs.
Great park with a beautiful view!
So beautiful! Best place to watch the sun rise and sunset, great picnic spot 2
Luminaries all around the paths at the solstice were absolutely amazing. The park is awesome, and the views are priceless. A real Richmond treasure.
I have been here for the HOGTOBER event 4 years in a row. Live bands playing, food and adult beverages for purchase as well. Children can dance and play.
We stopped here while touring some historical spots in the city. When gazing upon the river you can certainly see the views that supposedly inspired the settlers to settle this area as Richmond. That being said, for it to be the inspiration of a city, the park could have been a little better cared to as grass was tall and the shrubbery was overgrown. I will say that one thing that was very cool were the original cobblestone street you can walk on.
A must see if your visiting Richmond. The view of the city and river is breathtaking. I would like to visit at night.
Go. Its a plain park on a hill, has only a few benches, but still worth the five minutes if takes to see Richmond from a cool view, especially at sundown. We strolled there on new years day 2020 to watch the first one of the decade.
Great place to run stairs and a few hills for sprints, early AM routine type stuff. Not sure shat its like during the day. Forst time there and it was nice and clean.
Beautiful park, lots of running.
Gorgeous view of the city
The stair at Libby was a great workout
Pretty view. Park benches and nice neighborhoods.
Amazing view of the city at sunset
Clean park with a great view of Richmond! One of my favorite parks!
I love how they fixed the sign
Beautiful view especially around sunset
What a lovely park. If you have never visited, put it on you list right now. You won’t be disappointed. Notice the beautiful trees.
Beautiful, quiet spot to enjoy the view of the city at night. Ample seating and walkways.
One of my favorite views of the city. Would make a great place for a picnic.
Has alot of diff exercise choices
A bountiful park with panoramic views of Richmond! The steps are great for training
Very beautiful view of Richmond
We walked up Church Hill and then to Libby Hill to take in the autumn view of RVA and the James River. The surrounding neighborhoods are all charmingly historic. From there its not a far walk either to Chimbrazo Park or back to Richmond Hill. The view is amazing up the river and over the city.
One of my favorite areas to walk through on my lunch walks.
