Excellent park to enjoy with friends and family, it has tables and barbecue pits, the bathrooms are always clean, it has ample parking, a soccer and basketball field, also a park for the little ones in the house, in summer and part of another year you can go fishing and then release the fish again. ideal for celebrating birthdays. nice scenery and fountain in the middle of the lake

The park is suited for all age groups. There are so many ways you can enjoy. Take a walk, cycle around, good grounds for any game or just rest

One if the best kept gems of Virginia... A beautiful park with plenty of space and feels so clean. Live working out here. But one rule dont share with too many people, just kidding. Enjoy.

Great walking trails for your daily stroll through the woods!

My family has been going here for over a decade and its awesome! Its a gigantic park with many things to do! It has many paths to walk, run, bike, and play sports. It is also really beautiful there, since it has many trees and lakes. Theres a gigantic pavilion that you can do almost anything on too! For kids/teens theres many playgrounds, soccer fields, basketball courts, and now even a bmx park!In my opinion its one of the best parks around in Virginia!

A great place for everyone. Plenty of space for social distancing if you need to get out and take a walk. Well kept and maintained and plenty of places to sit, play and relax. There is a bicycle trail, a soccer/cricket field and lots of open space.

Outstanding public greenspace. Pet friendly. Many wide, paved paths for walking and running as well as trails for moderately challenging mountain biking and trail runs. Lots of playground equipment, soccer fields, shelters with tables and a large community center. The shelters and community center can be reserved for very reasonable rates. Fishing is permitted in the small, stocked lake. Definitely worth a visit if you havent seen this local gem. Youll likely return numerous times.

As often as I can, I hike all the back roads in this park, I have a water bottle and my hiking pole with me. At least an hour and 15 minutes among the trees, I know nothing better and relaxing.

Deep Run Park has plenty of activities to do! Whether you are going to run, play soccer, or simply take the kids on a walk, Deep Run has it all! Not only that, but Deep Run also has a lot to offer if youre wanting to ride a bike. Behind each park are multiple trails. Some are paved, others are not. It is a lot of fun to ride back there with friends. Deep Run is a fantastic place to hang!

Beautiful park with many amenities and plenty of walking trails.The playground is accessible to very young children and toddlers, and includes todler and accessible swings.

Huge park with lots of amenities for kids wanting to play, or teens and adults wanting to work on their physical health. Can fish here too, but not many do so you wont be too crowded.Best part is their foot / biking trails.

Awesome for fishing, just gotta have the right equipment. I caught a whole lot of catfish the other day, I caught a whole lot of catfish! But I always catch and release.

Really nice park in the west end with a lot of variety. There are 2 ponds to fish on, bikeing trails, walking trails, several spaces you can rent for cookouts, basketball court, open space for blanket picnics, and more. Parking is free and there are a few bathrooms on site. The park site a little of the road and has a lot of trees so it feels like you are in a secluded wooded area minus the low traffic noise. Overall a really nice park for everyone to enjoy.

I love this park! It is always clean and peaceful here. I like that you can reserve many of the parks shelters, gazebos, and other facility offerings. There are nice trails to walk, fountains, fitness equipment, a basketball court, grilling areas, and play areas for children as well.

Its a beautiful park. Its very clean and family friendly. They have a rec center i haven been yet but I want to. Lots of trees and big spaces for picnics and relaxing.

Since they have renovated the playgrounds, the park received a much-needed improvement. I have been coming to the park for many, many years with my family.There are two lakes, multiple bike trails/ trails in general, a couple playgrounds and various soccer/ football fields. The gravel, forest paths are especially nice places to take a walk in. There is also a recreation center, as well as restrooms and water fountains scattered throughout the park.Parking is available in three main areas. There are gazebos and areas with roofs which people hold outdoor parties which have grill(s) near them. You can also go fishing* in certain areas, but be sure to read the signs/ have the license(s) if required.It is a good park for taking in nature, reading, walking, biking, hosting celebrations, walking/ playing with your dog, fishing and letting your kids play on the newly renovated playgrounds.Benches are located throughout the park. The park also holds events as well from time to time. One thing to note is that I love when you can occasionally find colorful RVA rocks hidden throughout the park.

Deep Run Park is a West End staple. Playgrounds, fields, trails for walking and biking, shelters with tables, restrooms, a basketball court etc. A great public facility to enjoy nature with basic amenities.

I wont be going back. Covid nightmare. Nobody socially distancing, no mask.

Pleasant place to walk, fish, bird watch or people watch. I am planning to go fishing next time. There are play areas for children. I took pictures without people in it but there are a lot of people at the park.

So sweet to walk around. the deep run park around it is so big and full and very green. lots of things to do especially if you play Pokemon GO. plenty of small parks for kids and lots of nature trails to walk or bike around on. definitely reccomend visiting here for the scenery!

I got married here November 3rd 2018. It was a beautiful wedding and such a perfect spot. You can call and rent a gazebo to have it firmly saved for you or what I did was checked the listing closer to the wedding to see if it was reserved and just used it If it wasn’t (which I asked with the park people if it was ok to do that). If it happened to be taken I would just use a different spot in the park.Besides that I come here to walk and explore often. It’s a decent sized park with several options to go walking on. It’s mostly paved, they have a couple playgrounds and a field in the far back of the park. Great place. Love the water features.

Recently built cricket ground thats very nice of henrico County to encourage cricket..

Great facility for your large gathering! Huge ballroom area for events with 50+ people. Facility was clean, large windows to let the sun and air in. Paved back patio looking towards the woods in the park. Staff was very helpful and always with a smile. I would recommend this place for your reception and/or team building events as its tucked away within the park with ample parking spaces. They even had back doors to accommodate anything that needs to be rolled in!

This park is amazing! Excellent activities to participate in, including biking, running, walking, you name it. With excellent scenery and a beautiful lake, who wouldn’t love this area! Pavement is perfect for walking, and if you love animals, you’re in luck! I would definitely go here again if in the area.

This little hidden gem is a really nice spot for family gatherings. Cant see it from the road but that makes your time private.

I loved the park here...children’s enjoyed a lot playing in the playground. Beautiful nature. Can spend a whole day here. We enjoyed our evening with friends and family. You can carry food inside if you plan to stay there longer. Can jogg or walk around. Small lake inside the park. Can see some turtles and fishes. Well maintained and clean environment.

I visited this park with my granddaughters and cousin. We enjoyed walking trails, hanging out at playground. Will definitely visit again.

Several paths for light walking or jogging. Leashed park for animal friends. Lots of greenery and a lake. Benches throughout, picnic tables and undercover areas. Playgrounds for children and open fields.

My grandchildren enjoyed their time out in the fresh air. The playground is nice and the fountain on the lake is beautiful.

Easy, level trails that wind through pine and deciduous trees. Once you get off the paved or gravel paths you will enjoy the soft underfooting. I chose the forest trails over the paved ones. They can be rooty so be careful. Do your best your best bet is to seek a dirt path heading to the outside. If you do youll catch the loop trail that circumnavigates the entire park. You will scoot the fencelines and nearby apts. & homes, and the creek. Its all quite pleasant, while a good workout. By the time I finished I had hiked over 4 miles and almost 1.5 hrs. The loop is 2.6 mi

I would recommend! Picnics and BBQ just got better!

This is by far the best park in Henrico, lots of shaded trails, three different playgrounds, huge soccer field, and a large pond where you can fish and feed ducks.

I just visited that park last weekend and its amazing, full of nature, there is a big lake, many people goes there and take the dogs for a walk, or chill, I bet in the summer and fall that looks stunning, beautiful views!! there is like 2 or 3 recreation area for kids all ages, basketball court, parking lot, and you dont pay to be there, its amazing for those who like running and enjoying to be surrounded by nature! :)

Nice place, with plenty of open space and facilities in great condition.

I would give it 5 stars, but I would really love to see some trail markers on the perimeter trail. It is to easy to go the wrong way.

My puppy and I love this park. Many off the beaten path trails to explore without ever feeling like youre going to get lost. Great playgrounds too, and its always clean.

So glad to be able to get out and enjoy nature right now instead of being stuck in the house. I feel safe breathing and exercising as it’s not too crowded right now.

I love this park and all the different areas of it! From the trails to the lake to the fields. Last time I was here was for the annual American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) Out of the Darkness Walk.

Nice place to go, really enjoyed being there with family and friends.

No pad or tampon dispenser for girls please fix that but the park was great for a date with my girlfriend 5/5

Deep run is beautiful with lots of trails and open space

This is our favorite place in Richmond. Now matter what the season is, this place will look so beautiful, peaceful, lovely to either walk / play / walk ur pet / jog/ bring your kids/ have birthday party anything.... I have taken pictures of deep run almost all seasons. This has everything for peaceful evening... I walked my whole pregnancy and then brought my son here for two years.... now we have moved to another city. I miss deep run the most ...

This is a clean family friendly park. I have been here for activities such as birdwatching, hiking, running, cycling, and walking the dogs. They have beautiful water ponds and nice group activities settings.

My grandchildren love to go to thecastle park we we there on last friday fo a couple hours. Even in this era of virus culture, it was good to have them outside and having fun!

I run there every day. More and more pet owners do not have their pets on a leash and behave as if they own the place. It is becoming difficult to run there and feel safe.

Grandkids LOVED the new playground equipment!

Just absolutely love this place. You get your standard park experience, except you also get soccer fields, basketball courts, a very nice rec center, and the trails go all over the place and most all of it feels like you are just roaming through the woods, not weaving in and out of busy areas and watching cars go by. The play grounds are really nice as well if you have kids or are a big kid.

This is a great local park. It has many play areas available. A pond for fishing. Hiking trails. Mountain bike trails. Soccer fields, and much more. it’s a smaller park but very nice!

I have been going here for years..walking my dog, biking etc. Its safe and fun!

This is a pretty park it tucked away in the middle of a busy area I didnt even know it was there until recently it was a great place to have lunch outdoors and just be able to sit and talk with friends because in this horrible pandemic its so boring to not be around anyone
