I do theater here. The productions are super fun, watching or being a part of the cast or crew. Definitely one of my favorite places in Richmond.

Its a great place for people to bond or just watch live entertainment. The staff is very friendly and willing to help inform you on upcoming events or how to get involved. Overall a welcoming and judge-free atmosphere!

Truly awesome. The cast and crew of The Outsiders deserve the very biggest standing ovation. By far the best play I have seen. The cast truly played the part and emotions well. Much better than most west end plays of London. Very well done.

Support them. Support Nettle Creek Players. They are great organizations who generate further business ( and provide positive activities for kids like me and my fellow friends were). Not to mention they are thought provoking and fun.

A historical building housing shows put on by talented and passionate volunteers. If you want to watch theatre, the shows are-in my opinion-of professional quality. If you want to participate, the people are welcoming and encouraging. Additionally, the Stage One youth theatre program is excellent-this is truly a place for all ages.

Fun old building in great shape. The Marx brothers performed there in 1916. Want to go back and take photos of the tile!

They dont advertise very well Ive never been to a play there but Ive always wanted to see a play if they would advertise more on what place they do I would love to go marketing for that would be a good thing to do and if you dont have anyone I am available

Great Civic theatre. As usual, the acting, the sets and the whole theatre atmosphere did not disappoint. The price is very reasonable and the performance is top notch.

My wife and I are Tired of seeing the same actors in the kids shows. It’s a community theater so wouldn’t it be beneficial to try to encourage new kids to try out for the shows?Also, not buying season tickets for gifts this year. We are interested in new actors and shows that appeal to our generation.

RCT is a beautiful theatre full of character and life! The newly renovated restrooms and seats modernized the historic Murray Tgeatre. Community theatre at its best!

Lovely old theater with wonderful shows. The addition of the wine bar really steps it up a notch. We had a wonderful time. My only qualm is the website is not mobile user friendly in anyway. Took me 30 minutes to navigate and get tickets for my moms birthday party that and the coffee they served was burned and atrocious. Over all though, great experience.

I try to see at least a few shows a year here. I am blown away every single time by what a wonderful show they put on. Some smaller venues like this leave a lot to be desired... but Ive never left a play at the Richmond Civic Theatre without feeling like I got double my moneys worth.

I just watched Mary Poppins at the Richmond Civic Theatre with my two boys (ages 9 and 10) and we loved it! From the moment we were greeted at the door by a chimney sweep, to the time we spent with the cast after the show, all the members of RCT were pleasant and professional providing an experience both fun and memorable.The cast was amazing, especially Mary Poppins played by the beautiful and talented veteran of the RCT stage, Shanna Camacho. Her beaming smile and angelic voice transports theatre goers to another realm where the magic of Mary Poppins seems not only believable but real. Dustin Summan also does great service in Dick Van Dykes most memorable role as Bert the lovable Cockney chimney sweep. Other fine performances were acted by Wayne Greeson as George Banks, Robin Zitnick as Winifred Banks, and Molly and Fred Mendenhall punching well above their weight as Jane and Michael banks.The highest compliment I can offer is that my autistic 9-year-old with ADHD sat enraptured through the entire 3 hours mesmerized by the wonder that is Mary Poppins! If you have children you should definitely take them.

Aside from the seats being a tad uncomfortable, I love RCT.

A true landmark. I remember playing drums in the pit there for Annie, Oklahoma, and that one about the Monorail. :) (Its been a long time, gimme a break!)

Went to Heywood Banks show was great as always but seats are awful if your 64 tall no leg room just miserable will never go there again.
