First class all the way. Very attractive, clean facility with friendly and helpful employees. Open to the whole community. Daycare. Seniors club. Educational and cultural events. State of the art fitness facility includes a swimming pool.

A little pricey but we love the JCC.

Ive been an on and off member or guest at JCC since I was a kid, (roughly 8-10 years Id say actually thinking about it,) and Ive never once had an unpleasant experience here. The staff is amazingly friendly, the building is beautiful, and if you need something or have questions, there is always a friendly face you can go to with questions or concerns. I highly recommend this center if youre looking for a community center that cares about its members and reputation.

Affordable membership options with a great swim programs for all ages. Staff are attentive and nice. They are always willing to answer questions or concerns that I have. However, kids locker rooms could use some serious upgrades!

This is my gym, but its much more than a gym. Its a community center. Its a theater. Its a study lab, a snack bar and the location of the annual Jewish Food Festival. And its all amazing. The staff are friendly and personable. I travel past several other gyms to be a member of Weinstein JCC.

This is a wonderful community center that truly understands how to foster a sense of community. The fitness and aquatics facilities are beautiful and well maintained, and there are a variety of fitness classes and specialty courses. In addition, the JCC offers childcare, and are supporters of the arts. They host art shows, film festivals, concerts, and live theater. Memberships are also very affordable!

Would not belong to any other place. Youre treated like family here. Staff and members are super friendly and theres so much to do - fitness classes, sports, concerts, films, plays, art. Member over 40 years and still loving every minute of it.

You cant beat this place. Not only is it one of the bestplaces to workout and swim it also has incredible staff and programming that makes its second to none in the city.

Amazing and modern facility with a wide variety of classes and community events.

I’m in town visiting family. I called to see if I could get a day pass so I could swim, but they only allow members of other JCCs to use their facilities. I live in a small rural town with no JCC, so no swim for me. It honestly just makes me sad.

We signed up for membership and were not told it was a year contract. Apparently, it is in the one of the documents we signed. So when we moved and did not have access anymore, there was nothing we could do. Will have to pay through the end with no option to buy out of the contract. Be careful what you sign!!! Staff gave us no solution and were unsympathetic regarding the our circumstances.

I go there to see plays and concerts. They have a lovely theater and the productions are always top rate. They also have a gym facility that a friend uses weekly and raves about and a wonderful gift shop.

Great gym. The pool is awesome, i go 3 to 4 times a week. They have a fantastic seperate pool for kids(and kids at heart, like me!). Great exercise classes. Unbelievably friendly staff. Been going for 3 years and NEVER had a staff member not greet me and not welcome me.

Its undoubtedly the best place to work out I have found in Richmond.

Great facility, well equipped but small gym, nice variety of exercise classes. Ample parking. Was there for a food festival. Nice use of the space. Didnt feel crowded even with the crowd.

If more stars were available you would get a MILLION from me!!! Nancy, You made my mothers 91 1/2 Birthday such a memorable one. I will leave it at that as the thought of everything you put into your food is bringing tears to my eyes!!! I will keep you busy for the next ten plus years!

Top notch facility. Good community events. A good place to get your kid swim lessons.

The Weinstein JCC is a wonderful facility that offers a great diversity of programs and activities. The fitness center has a lot of top notch equipment, and the trained staff are very friendly and helpful. I am grateful to be a part of such a positive community organization in Greater Richmond!

Update. Am changing from one to four stars, b/c if you forget something at the Goochland pool, staff bring it to the main location within a couple of hours.This issue exists almost in all places, but am focusing currently on the JCC. I want one engineer, one physical therapist, or one occupational therapist, to explain to me, how handicap buttons to open doors, are accessible to the wheelchair bound folks. If they are alone, they need some pretty long arms. In the male bathroom near the lobby, sorry, unable to check female bathroom due to patriarchy and fear of instant trouble if bathrooms are shared, as Dear Leader wanted, but I digress. In the male bathroom, there is a button on the outside, great but inaccessible if wheelchair bound, and the doors open inward, so you can just ram your way in. Yes, road to hell is paved with good intentions. But to get out, I could not find any such button. I imagine you would needs to bring along a hook and yank the door real fast, and then speed through before it shuts. As far as amenities, just your typical gym. If they have a class in the pool, even if they are using part of the pool, the entire pool is unavailable. They have an outdoor pool in Goochland, I believe, also typical. So I give one star for the impossible to explain button layout and random usage, so that people will read this post and help me figure out this brain teaser.

Great gym, tons of group classes like spin, a NH do huge indoor pool. Plenty of space for neighborhood meetings.

Nice place but the front desk receptionist treated my mother upon arrival very poorly today while going to my relatives baby shower.

Poor Zakk G deserves a full second chance at this place.

Too much chlorine in the air at times. Makes you feel a little sick. Staff is a mixed bag - reception desk is friendly, housekeeping staff & Mr D were very diligent & friendly.

Ive worked nearly two months as a lifeguard and have only been paid for less than 7 hours. Theres a ton of expectations and responsibility on the hourly lifeguards with very little risk being shared by the aquatics management. However, I must admit they excel in micromanaging, laziness, and apathy.Its no surprise there was a drowning at the other location. The first step in any emergency is notification of an emergency over the radio. I was assaulted by Myles Phelps, a member of management, when I tried to show him the lifeguard on duty receives no response when calling over the radio. I resigned immediately. I cannot accept responsibility for others safety while lacking support and responsibility from my management team.
