Great cultural events. Smooth getting in and out. Clean and friendly..Alcohol prices a bit high. Good fun overall. Big time fun in a small community.
Alice Cooper put on a great show here. Staff was very courteous. We reserved parking ahead of time for about $10 and it made the experience so easy, so Id recommend doing that when purchasing event tickets.
Went to see the Nutcracker, great ushers, very helpful staff at the ticket booth. The wine area has covered drink cups and soda and small snacks. The bathrooms were clean and orderly. All around a great place to see a show. Beautiful artwork!
Went to go see Artrageous with my best friend in the new arts center, and it was one of my favorite experiences. They have beer and wine for sale outside the theater portion of the building, and you can buy a cup with a lid to take the alcohol inside to enjoy it with the show, and you keep the cup. You can then bring the cup back to future shows for a discount on your next alcoholic beverage purchase.
Great venue, great concert! We saw Cody Jinks. The venue was very professional oh, very clean, well-organized. The parking was closed, and there were other parking areas available. At least at this event, they did serve alcohol. Not sure if they do it every event. But know that you do have to have cash to purchase alcohol. There is an ATM available.
Seen Gary Allan there. Drove and 1/2 hours down. Nice place. Parking was close but $15 was a bit much for parking. He was GREAT!! Just little hard to hear him cause the music was so loud. Had a good time though.
Sunday nights show was amazing! The venue and staff were perfect and the artists were great! Thanks for a great time! The show was great...until security couldnt control the girls who crowded the stage. These people were asked repeatedly, by multiple security personnel, to return to their seats, and they failed to do so. Nothing was done, so they called all their friends up too! It makes it very hard on those of us that paid good money for seats, abided by the rules, and could no longer see the show. This was our second concert there in 3 months. We spend plenty of money and choose this venue...I am alumni and also sent my 3 children to EKU. We deserve better...please improve security for these concerts.
The facility itself is modern, yet welcoming. Loved the Chris Tomlin concert there. The acoustics are amazing!
Beautiful center, pretty affordable prices for shows, and they have a variety of shows.Fun fact: I worked in the Fire & Safety lab on campus while the Center of the Arts was being built. I’ve walked through the entire place, including catwalks, back rooms, mechanical rooms, etc. before it had its occupant permit. My handwriting is on the fire extinguishers labeling their locations :)
Great venue, plenty of close parking. Coat check, cash bar and very helpful staff!
Really wonderful venue. Went for Chris tomlin & pat Barrett concert! was really amazing. They should sell food tho, at that event they only sold drinks
They need concerts with classic and modern musicians, not just repeats. Kinda lame all other cities get the good shows, while people here get the bottom of the barrel. It will cause more popularity of the city and bring in revenue.
Had a great time right before Pandemic hit.
What a great place. I went to a concert on March 1st. I was kindly worried about my seats. Well dont worry there is not a bad seat in the house. It was very easy to get to. They served beverages, which was nice. The staff was extra friendly, including the security guys checking the tickets at the door. I will definitely go back again.
Second concert Ive attended here. Great seating and acoustics. A wonderful venue.
Amazing place. We have seen some amazing shows here. I wish there was better parking to accommodate by the hall, but they do have parking across the busy road at the stadium. Love the shows that come here. Truly a vital part of our area!
Staff were inviting and accommodating. This was our first visit and I will be seeing more shows here in the future.
Best concert venue I have been to theres not a bad seat in the house and you can usually go up to the stage after the show and get goodies!!
The play was great & MUSIC awesome but will say often it was hard to hear the players voices....low volume but sound on the songs was awesome.
What a lovely facility! Everything was clean. Everyone was happy. They could use better signs for parking but there were plenty of attendants to get us to the right place.
Lovely venue. My husband and I saw a show there earlier this year. Comfortable and quaint environment. One thing I would suggest: A better set-up for patrons to purchase alcoholic beverages. Luckily we were quite early for the show so it didnt matter very much, but waited in line almost 45 minutes to buy two glasses of wine. There was only one station to buy from and a line through the main lobby. My niece and I loved it when Jason Isbell came through a few years ago. It would be wonderful if you brought him back.
Went to this place to watch my neice dance! Wonderful place. & loved being able to watch her dance here!
Great dinner. All seating is good. Well organized
EKUs Center for the Arts is a great venue for many different events. They host concerts, comedy acts, kids programs, events for local schools, and many more. Easy to find and plenty of parking.
Very nice. Great intertainment.
This is a good performing theater. I like the seating, easy viewing from any seating area. Very clean. Very many restrooms. So there is never a restroom line.
Been here for a few shows. Great venue! Good luck acoustics, and parking isnt terrible. Also minutes from downtown and a plethora of food choices
Great venue, not a bad seat in the place. Been to one concert so far, another coming up in April. Id highly recommend it to anyone.
Seating isnt cramped. However not cheap..
Great seats and amazing venue.
Fabulous venue to see a concert.
This facility is excellent! Very clean and well kept. Our experience watching an orchestra was superb!
We love the EKU Center for the Arts, and the shows they have.
Beautiful place. Great shows A Jewel of the Richmond Community.
Second show I have seen here. Great venue. Good sound. Comfortable seating. Ease of entry and exit.
EKU has really booked some awesome performances. We also especially liked that its easy to park and the variety and affordability of concessions.
A great venue for concerts. Easy to get in and out good parking and comfortable seating
Went to shows here for years and tonight they CHARGED US $15 to park after we spent $150 in tickets!!! This is crazy and no one told us there were additional fees. This is a new policy and EKU shouldn’t take advantage of its patrons in this way! By a surprise parking fee! Furthermore I cannot believe that they don’t show this anywhere on the website! Or in the email of tickets when I purchased them. We came to a Disney show earlier this year and at least they have the decency to make sure EKU didn’t charge extra for parking.
Seeing Jeanne Robertson in person was a great event. She was extraordinarily warm and funny. The only problem was exiting the theater at the end, which took much too long. There werent enough personnel helping, either...
Comfortable seats and top notch talent. They sell booze, too.
Nice venue with intimate seating.
There is not a bad seat in the house. The seats are comfortable and there is adequate foot room as well. The ventilation system and sound system are top notch.
Saw Blueman Group and other EKU based items. No bad seat in the house, easy parking, easy exit.
Great! Been there a couple of times with the school band and to watch the Fosters program performance!
Beautiful center. First time concert. Loved the venue.
Friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. Seats were extra comfortable in orchestra 2. Sound was clean, not too loud but there was room for improvement on the soundmans job dialing it in. Never found the parking I paid for, or if I did, it was full.
Easy parking and every seat is good!
Great show. Great venue.
Excellent venue. 3 Dog Night was excellent. Warm up band was very amateur. A local band would have put the warm up band to shame.
Lots of good shows. An exceptional venue for a small City.
I did not get handicapped parking or seating. I sent email to director with no reply. It was the Harry connick concert. It was a neat place to see the concert but seating and parking made it tough for myself and wife
Had a great time!
Very nice venue. Convenient parking, very comfortable seats, well designed theater.
The architect who designed the second tier has obviously never attended an event. Theres no opening to get from the front row to the isle so all Ive seen all evening is peoples behinds as they pass in front of my seat. Ive counted 56 so far and am only through the opening act.
This is an amazing concert hall. We got tickets to the Air Force Band and as an Air Force Veteran, it was an amazing show that warmed my heart. I dont think there is a bad seat in the house and I look forward to seeing some more shows in this venue.
Spring production of Spamalot was hilarious. They put a lot of thought and effort into the play.
Excellent arts center for performance.
Been to several events here. All have had excellent visual performances but that audio has been absolutely horrible. It reminds me of gymnasium audio and I know it shouldnt be like that.
Alice Cooper put on a great show!
This place is comfortable and access is easy. The structure is gorgeous and sound carries well. There is good handicap access.
Saw Legally Blonde. Great show at a very nice venue.
Awesome Terry Fator..
Absolutely beautiful!!!! I loved going to the Toby Mac/Ray Stevenson concert!!!,, The people were polite, it was clean, Just needed, WAY MORE PARKING!, Im not even sure who lot I parked in! Haha,, But I loved it!!, Had a blast!!!
My son had a showcase with EKU baseball. The Coach gave us a tour of the new clubhouse and discussed new opportunities for his young men to be able to flourish! We are very excited for them and wish them a hearty good luck for 2018 season!
Great place to view an event
Wonderful venu. Elegant yet cozy. Sensitive to handicap limitations.
Great place for a show. Very helpful employees
Went for the Jason Isbell show on 4/21. It was a nightmare, top to bottom. They were in no way ready for the amount of people who showed up for the show, which strikes me as odd (seeing as they sold the tickets). There were two drink vendors for what Ill guess was 1000 people. My wife and I waited in line for about 25 min only to be told that they were out of alcohol! Then, once they restocked, we waited 20 more minutes ... only for them to run out of booze again. If only their issues were only related to concessions. The sound was really bad. It sounded like the volume was turned up too loud on cheap speakers. The vocals were very tinny.Overall, it was the worst experience Ive ever had at a concert venue. However, if they can sort out these issues, it could be a great venue. Not a bad seat in the house, and the chairs were quite comfortable.
Great venue for events and concerts!
The stage crew here provided by High Tech Staffing is top notch! You need to keep these people working in this building!
My daughters middle school band played here. Really nice place. Staff was helpful and nice. Comfortable seating. Lots of free parking.
Beautiful, clean and great show. Only down side is the bathroom line for women...
This is a great place to see a show, whether it be an opera or a blockbusting big music act. Classy in every regard.
It was amazing it was magical.
AWESOME Ron White and Alex Reymundo great show.
Great venue for concerts, easy in and out. Sound was awesome and plenty of room in the seat.
Far better environment for hearing bands play than the larger, earsplitting venues.
Worst concert venue Ive been to. Crazy rules, untrained bartenders everywhere, bad sound. Only good thing is there probably isnt a bad seat.
The suited name tagged people we no help, didnt know how the venue was laid out
Great concert venue
Could be priced better.
Very nice venue. Only thing we didnt like was poor lighting in back-left, as you look at the stage, but that was only an issue for a short time.
