I am the vice president of the Richmond Music Boosters and we hold our monthly meetings here in the back room, the staff is always friendly and quick the meeting space is always set up just the way need it. Smileys always supports the school in any aspect that they can and we as school program supports ourselves find it important to give back to those that give to us.

Went there to get supper waited and waited and waited for some one to bring a menu over. So we could order no one ever did 10 mins go by i go ask for one they said they would bring one over and asked where we were sitting i pointed and they said ok. So i go back to sit down and 5 more mins go by no one comes with menus or even asked if we wanted something to drink. Good food loved going there before but never have had bad service or rather no service. They were not even busy .

This has got to be the single best space and archetypical set up for a bar in Richmond Indiana! Now you can enjoy the convenience of smoking outside in what the owner dubbed the, Beer Garden, which is a new add-on they put out back for smokers so that they are still out off public view! The smoking area looks like a sight youd see in am Octoberfest set up, which is beautifully choreographed with furniture and other patio Knick knacks for your enjoyment.The Smileys Pub is an official restaurant/pub. Furthermore, I was told recently by the owner, Mr. Terry Hillard! He and his staff are awesome, very respected people in the local community!I know Ill be going back sooner than later!

Very nice environmental experience, its relaxing the food looks great, you have a better choice of a menu and a whole lot of choice of which room you want to go into to spend time w/ your friend, have a party or on your date or whatever! You have to go there to see for.yourself to see what im talking about and the owners are wonderful people too easy to talk to great ppl.

Bar staff was rude and slow to get what should have been a simple order to me. The only way youll get your order right here is if you ask for a bud light in a bottle, and even then they might screw it up. Female bartenders here are quicker to acknowledge and serve men as opposed to other girls...not cool.

Cute but rude female bartenders. Crummy service. Poured my Guinness straight in a tiny plastic cup. No clue how to make a good drink or pour a dark beer. The place is decorated nicely and has potential but they really need to focus on improving the bartenders skills, and their customer service.

Ive heard conflicting reports about Smileys. They say that a lot of townies hang out there, but its OK until midnight. A friend of a friend (take this with a grain of salt) got stabbed, there? My experience was just of a quiet little pub that doesnt do table service after 10, but has reasonable prices for drinks. Havent had any food from there yet. I did see a room with 4 or so pool tables, as well as a dance floor, but havent experienced either. There is also some space for darts, and additional seating on the other side of a wall from the main bar.

Under new ownership and the place is much better. Food was really good too.

Smileys is under new ownership and it is without question, the best bar in Richmond. Great food and great service. Friday and Saturday nights are still for the younger crowd but it rocks and everyone is welcome.
