Full disclosure: I used to work here many years ago.Fallout has always been my home away from home, even when I was employed there. Years ago when they first opened I stumbled into there not really knowing what to expect. I found a truly unique, welcoming, and safe nightclub environment. I have made lifelong friends here. I have countless precious memories from theme night parties here. The tips I made there helped me pay my bills while I worked my way through college.In these difficult times, Fallout, as a business, and as a community, has worked incredibly hard to stay afloat and keep providing Richmond with a safe and welcoming environment. Although they are very limited by health restrictions currently, they are still offering excellent food and beverage options for carryout or curbside (there are limited dine in options too in concurrence with current guidelines, as I understand it).They are also doing Sunday Brunch every week and it is DELICIOUSLY ADDICTIVE. I highly recommend you check that out!!!Go support local businesses that are engaged with and supportive of our community.

I was going to go to church today, but decided against it in favor of grabbing a Togosa brunch from Fallout. I have since denounced my religion and begun to worship the Shockoe Bottom brunch deities. Seriously.To add, Fallout is a fun, friendly place to hang out when people are allowed to “hang out” in establishments. It’s a private club and they only allow members for some nights and events. They do have a dress code that THEY WILL enforce and they don’t tolerate nonsense. They allow smoking, so if you don’t like that, don’t go there. They have many themed events and live performances, as well as trivia and karaoke nights. I don’t know if the brunch/Togo specials will continue to be a thing after they reopen as a club, but the food and drinks are delicious any night of the week. The staff is great, but like I mentioned before, they do not tolerate nonsense. If you’re interested, check out their website.

The first time I went to fallout I didnt know what to expect. The environment was very open, friendly, and welcoming. I love it there.

We had some member friends get us in for the 12th year goth night and it was amazing. I love this place and want to be a member even though I live in Roanoke. I had so much fun and this will be my destination every time Im in Richmond

Fallout is a great venue and my favorite bar in Richmond. I just wanted to add that theyve done an excellent job during this epidemic of taking care of their own, and it really shows how much they care about their community.

Came here on a first date, didn’t know they were going to be the love of my life. we danced all night, even a little past closing and management was cool with it (thanks guys!!) great atmosphere, DJ and club management are bangin’. Hella time all around!

Not a bad spot, and the staff is very friendly. Couldnt help but think it would be much improved if patrons were encouraged (or forced) to smoke outside, because it often ends up nearly entirely covered in thick cigarette smoke by the end of the night.

I love this place and have been going for almost a decade. It is a fun and safe space. I really enjoy the dance floor and the DJs take requests within reason e.g. theme nights/events. There is always something interesting happening and they truly invest in creating the decor/atmosphere for each event. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. The mixed drink menu is fun and tasty.

Cool and fun place. Only fault it has is that it allows smoking inside which means I and any gear I bring with me ends up smelling like an ash tray by the end of the night. But the drinks are creative and the food is really good and surprisingly healthy for a bar. You must have a membership or know someone to get in.

One of the few places that you can go to in the states and feel welcome from an entire room. Incredible staff, delicious food, and an awesome community as a whole. If youre dark heart longs for a home, youll find it here.

This club has a ton of cool shows! Came for the Lesser Terrestrials, and had an amazing time, I will be coming back to see more!

Love this place. Bar staff is very friendly and attentive. This is a smoking friendly location so if that bothers you you might want to stay clear. Members only on most Weekends. Good comfort food, more than just bar food.

I am absolutely appalled by this place. We paid a cover to get in and they gave us some rules which we followed (were out of towners). The bartender told us yall dont belong here and everyone here is complaining about you. First of all, this place is called a dance club, and they were offended that we were dancing on the floor. The manager said we didnt belong because we were dancing and no one else was. It had a dance floor, lights and a DJ so it seems strange we got pushed out for dancing. My husband asked why we were being ejected very politely and the manager explained that we basically didnt belong because the members present (approximately 5 other people) didnt like us. We paid money to get in ($5) and we paid for drinks at the bar. We didnt talk to anyone or get in anyones personal space. We were dancing among ourselves and hanging out at our table. We were having a great time until we were informed they wouldnt serve us anymore and we were told to leave.

Visited Fallout RVA for Old School Goth Night. Friendly staff and top notch SpOoKy jams. It is members only, so non-members have to message their Facebook to get on the guest list and pay a $5 cover. Only downside for me is that they allow smoking inside, so I smelled like an ashtray afterward :-(

Easily one of the best bars in Richmond. Amazing and friendly staff, excellent and well-priced food and drink options, truly amazing members.In addition, this is one of the few totally and completely accepting places in town, which I consider a home away from home, as long as you can abide by the Wheaton Rule (dont be a prick). I know there have been complaints from various people that the staff is racists, or homophobic, or transphobic and this is to put it mildly divorced from reality (although given that almost all these complaints come from sloppy drunks who get their own asses thrown out, its not hard to see through the BS)This is not the place for you to bring your sloppiness or your attitude, this is a place that takes VERY seriously the well-being of members and their guests and will not hesitate to nip a potential problem in the bud BEFORE it gets out of hand. It is one of the few places in the world where I feel safe to be completely myself, not just tolerated but welcomed.

Fallout is on of those few still populated goth and alternative themed night clubs in the southern and central Virginia areas. It offers limited entry and takes pride in its public appearance, meaning that unlike some other notable night clubs, college aged kids in khakis and polo shirts wont be prowling for a hookup inside. The club hosts several concerts every year, and has even been quoted by musicians as treating performers like royalty. While I dont personally drink I know they keep a well stocked bar and Ive never had any issues with patrons, even during more public events such as concerts. Parking can be an issue, especially when there are multiple events going on in the same block, and the place isnt as big as a typical nightclub, however I feel that the quality over quantity that this club seeks out sets it above everything else.

Ive been a member here for years, and have been coming for slightly longer. This place is a community. There is no better, safer, more enjoyable place to be. The bartenders and drinks are top notch. The music is always on point, the shows varied across genres and entertaining. The theme nights are creative and fun. Come out for the best wing sauces youll ever put in your mouth on Monday evenings for ¢25 Wing Night, stay for the many tasty draft beer options and delicious food--even vegan faire! Once youve been here, youll never want for another regular watering hole or lack good company.

Fallout is an amazing, inclusive space for those who want to let their freak flag fly. Spooky, grungy industrial feel with pleasant staff, customers, and management. If you want something different than your average dance club, go check out Fallout.

One of the best bars in Richmond. The quesadillas are to die for, as are the fun theme nights. Fallout puts a lot of heart and creativity into providing an excellent customer experience and serving as a community center for a variety of groups in the area.

Fallout is amazing for the alternative scene. Best bartenders, excellent members, overall hospitality that cant be beat as long as youre not a douchebag.

My home away from home. A place for all the weirdos, kinkster, and creepers to feel comfortable. The staff is mind blowingly amazing. The cage dancers are talented the djs are epic. You can smoke! Awesome event both kink wise and alternative wise. Best place in the city, in my humble opinion. Could lose the tea party banner though.

Great food, bar, concerts and atmosphere. I got to personally meet Ayria and dance with Project Pitchfork. My only complaint is some of the people who attend. I got pushed rudely a few times by rude people. Even though the place is supposed to be non-judgmental all I felt there was judgement. I did meet only a couple of members who I actually considered friendly.After reading their review on Google + about the racism, I will never be returning or recommending them to anyone else.
