The park is great with beach view and updated playground, also some places to exercise I like the shape of trees too. All make there good place for family picnic. Just one problem was there with the parking if you want to park in parking that is assigned to the park you have to have quarters because the parking meters just work with that and you need 1.5$ for one hour so bring a lots of quarters.

Beautiful park overlooking the pier and ocean. Lots of grassy area and picnic tables. If you are planning to use the tables, I recommend bringing a disposable table cloth - there are lots of birds, and it took us a while to clean off the souvenirs left by the birds! Nice playground, also.

Excellent place quiet atmosphere and awesome views.

The street ends here but its where beauty begins. The Ocean is the backdrop for luscious vegetation and elder trees that seem to be ubiquitous. I have come here many times and you should too.

A great place have a picnic with a multi million dollar ocean view. Brand new playground for the little ones too.

NO DOGS IN THE PARK!This review is for walking AROUND THE PAR, external appreciation of the park.I see homeless ok in the park, like most of LA. They like all populations I have seen vary from to the people I speak with and are lovely to the ones it may be best to avoid.The walk around the park is wonderful, relaxing, and fun people watching. I walk my dog here at least 1x a week. Hopefully my dog walkers bring her while Im at work.The external highlight of the walk besides my dogs smiles is when you see a pod of dolphins, hear the seal Lions bark as they Bob in and out of the water. Its an excellent place to forget the days and just let your mind wander as you take in the amazing view of the ocean.

Great beach park. Very popular with scuba divers due to consistently decent conditions, relatively easy entry and exit, and proximity to the Redondo submarine canyon makes it easy to do deep dives. Parking in the lot is limited, there are parking meters you have to keep feeding. Meters only take quarters, and a quarter only gets you 10 minutes, so plan ahead

Very crowded, no masks for most people despite the pandemic and requirement to wear one, kids playing all over the playground equipment even though theres signs saying its closed. The weather was nice and the sunset was pretty though.

Simply amazing! A little trashy at times. I am surprised the people who visit dont take pride in this beautiful location. There are trash cans all over, but yet, they cant seem to get to them. I see a lot of maintenance out there trying to keep up, but you just cant keep up with people who dont care. Still beautiful. Please dont think it looks like a landfill. Not even close. Plenty of parking, go early if you want to park beach front. Fresh breeze from the ocean and lots of scenery. A must see if you are in the area. I go every time I am in the area.

The new equipment is fantastic. My son loves the nautical themes playground and I enjoy the workout area. There are signs posted 16 and over only but the kids play on it anyway. The memorial itself is a great solemn reminder of our American heros and the Historic Library is gorgeous. The long paved walkway that circles the property is great for scooters.

Beautiful park right on the beach with a great parking area to watch the sunset from. Parking is cheap and the beach is easily accessible, about a one minute walk away. Stop by if you want a relaxing spot to listen to the waves during a busy day.

The kids playground is under renovation currently and therefore gated off. That said, the trees are a great place for kids to play on.

The parked looked beautiful and well kept. It was almost evening on a Sunday and the playground was overloaded with kids. I checked out the bathrooms before I let my daughters use it and it was well stocked and clean. Im loving the new playground set up. We will be back again to enjoy real soon.

Veterans Park in Redondo Beach is the main city park. The park is located at the site of the Redondo Hotel. The park also holds the former city Library which the building is on the Register of National Historic Places. The park sits just above the beach I have been to this park many times over my life. Also located here is the Redondo Beach Veterans Memorial.

Service and food par excellence!

Really nice do-over! The revamp and makeover is great. The only downside is the palm trees drop huge branches during the windy days. It can be a little scary. Otherwise, great park!

Beautiful park nice for family outing, picnicking, even barbeque, they also have a playground its under renovation. The view is scenic. Lower from the park is the pier. The Redondo Beach Pier is full of restaurants and entertainments.There is an arcade The Fun Factory full of games and amusements. Overall fun place to go with family and loved ones or just to spend some time on the pier.

I grew up in Redondo Beach. Veterans Park was the site of the Library building and had more trees and bushes. I spent many hours reading inside the building. Other times I would go for a dip in the ocean and dry lying along a long branch of the large tree where the sun dried me. I moved to New York and returned home to find the park still there and the band shell added. Now I so enjoy parking in the road and watching the activity on the beach, the bike and pedestrian paths as well as the water activity. People come to enjoy the grass, trees and flowers.. its my favorite retreat.

A nice place to spend the day. I enjoy it often. Reflection on the names and families that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our nation is sobering. I am grateful for them. Its nice to visit in the early morning when its not crowded.

Right next to Redondo Beach Pier ! Great shops and food, restaurants,shops, beach, fishing ! On holidays get here early for parking or park blocks away and walk . There is parking structure at pier for 2.00 an hour bring exact bills. Machine does not give back change ! Enjoy!

Nice park with a beautiful view of Redondo Beach. Good place to have a kids party. Restrooms, parking, & kids play ground at this park. Also bbq grills. Best part is you can go down to the beach conveniently.

I love this park. You can rent out their facility for Baby Showers, Birthday parties and more. Nice green space, and they have a Teen Center for the kids.

Great place to watch sunset view

I loved this park.

Veterans Park is a lovely oasis. Its one of the few large grassy areas in the beach cities that just so happens to be set up right by the beach. Its got a nice playground for the kids, picnic tables, and even some trees for shade. Walking distance to the pier, and Thursday mornings have a lovely farmers market here. Great spot for families.

Good times on the beach, it was a little too close for me to swim, but had a good time none the less just relaxing ! =) not a very busy beach, so if you enjoy privacy, this is the place to be !

Walking around the park was very enjoyable. My dog likes the setting and the people that walk their dogs are very friendly as well.

The non pretentious part of SoCal

Beach front area is small compared to other beaches in the area but big enough to take your kids and dig your feet in the sand. From Redondo Pier, follow the walkway. There may be bikers that use the same lanes. Youll pass by shops and restaurants along the way. They also have a smoothie bar out there and bathrooms so you can stop before you get to the beach/ park. Bring a blanket so you can sit down, wear sunblock and enjoy.

Favorite place to park and enjoy my coffee and scratch off lottery tickets. However! Today Peeping Toms were on full force.They kept binoculars on me for almost 20 minutes. Some people have no life.

Great views and good times at Redondo Pier as well! Playground is new and well kept. Family fun for everyone

Nice little neighborhood park

Beautiful park with a small playground, plenty of seating. If you dont fancy sitting on the grass. Parking is metered, but if you dont mind a short walk theres street parking in the surrounding neighborhoods. People often have weddings here too because of the excellent view of the ocean. Theres also a small Veterans Memorial honoring the veterans.

The playground remodel is AMAZING!!! My kids had a blast.
